Ordered from here after reading the reviews on here and love this place. A beautiful catalog that looks more like a soft cover book then catalog was the first impressive thing. I searched for the items I wanted bought quite a lot... shipping is great as they have a flat rate no matter what you get! Waited maybe 4 days and everything arrived!!! Came with a free seed packet ( I got pink tomatoes)!!! Invoice was handsigned with a thank you.. I will def be ordering from bakers creek again, did I mention the seed packets contain more seeds then other places I order for less $$$... seed packets range from 1.25 - 3.75.... great place will be visiting the town they are in to visit their seed bank with my family soon! : )

Our daughter is 2 and starting to want to dig, pick flowers, help water etc...so armed with an older catalog, we placed a couple of orders with Baker Creek. These guys ROCK!!! The customer service gals are the most courteous I've ever talked to and the personal thank you notes on the invoices makes us feel special :-) We are enjoying the gardening and cant wait for the new Baker Creek seed catalog to plan next years gardens and beds!

Baker Creek is the best! I'm delighted with how promptly they fill orders. Two times now I have run out of seed at the 11th hour and had to order more and they were here within just a few days. This is my first year of growing anything from seed. In the past, I either bought plants from my local Home Depot or the seeds that I bought from the store either didn't come up or came up slowly and produced poorly. Baker's Creek seeds are awesome! They were all up within 5 days.

Their catalog is beautiful and informative. Mine is now dog-eared from looking through it so much.

The web site was easy to use. I ordered by mail easily. I expected it to take around 3-4 weeks to get my order. I was pleasantly surprised when I received my order in 2 weeks!!
Only one item was not in stock. I am VERY pleased with everything. I deffinitely WILL order from them again.
It is such a nice chang to find a company that is easy to work with and good customer service. They even sent change back because we made the check out for too much. I liked that more than having my account credited for future purchases. I have worked with some awful companies in the past. Since I have found davesgarden feedback, I no longer have to deal with bad companies!

After good experiences in the past, I placed my 2010 order with them on May 7th. I received my order on May 16th, which is amazing given that there was a weekend involved and I'm in Alaska. The order was packaged nicely, and shipping was amazingly reasonable at $3.00. Baker Creek is my first choice for seeds, as they have everything I want: a great catalog with varieties that work in my climate, reasonable shipping, fast service, reasonable prices, and high-quality non-GMO seeds. I'll be ordering again next year.

I have ordered from Baker Creek several times, the most difficult thing with ordering is trying to keep my enthusiasm with all the wonderful choices. The hardest part of ordering seeds from Baker Creek is controlling the overwhelming urge to order everything in the catalog! I have read and re-read every word and drooled over the exquisite photographs. I would frame the catalog but I’m still enjoying reading it – when I can get it back from my husband.

My order arrived quickly and was safely packaged. I had a package of Brandywine tomato seeds from another company and compared them to my Baker Creek Brandywine seeds. The Baker Creek seeds are obviously fresher, while the seeds from the other company are dark and shriveled.

Heirloom, open-pollinated seeds are the only ones I will grow and Baker Creek is my favorite heirloom, open pollinated seed company.

Outstandingly beautiful printed catalog. I personally enjoyed reading the various quotes and company philosophy. Nothing wrong with doing business with a company who you agree with, and not doing business with one you don't agree with.
Every packet I ordered (tomatoes, winter and summer squash, cukes, corn, peppers, beans, etc. and various flowers) had large numbers of healthy-looking seeds. The peppers were up and looking beautiful much faster than I anticipated!
I really like the small seeds being placed in small ziplock bags. Very easy to retrieve said seeds rather than the little waxed envelopes some companies use.
All seeds offered are heirloom, which I love, and their corn is guaranteed GMO-free which is very hard to find nowadays. I would encourage everyone to order from this wonderful company. I also enjoy their heirloom flowers which are almost impossible to find. I can't wait to enjoy my 'real' petunias!

This is the first order I've placed with Baker Creek. I ordered their catalog on recommendation from Eliot Coleman's Winter Harvest Handbook. When the catalog arrived I was immediately captivated by the wonderfully unusual seed varieties offered and the quality of the catalog itself. I placed my order online and was concerned when I read that it would take 5-8 days to process the order, but to my surprise the order arrived two days later. The order was complete and Baker tucked in an extra packet of seed as a bonus. Everything I ordered is in the ground and I'm anxious to see the germination rate and how vigorous the plants are. I'll have to give another report once I see how well they do. So far I'm impressed.

We've been ordering seeds from Baker Creek for 3-4 years and have never been disappointed. I was so excited to find out that they have a seed bank in Petaluma, my hometown. Haven't been yet, but fully intend to during my high school reunion. I've never ordered seeds that haven't produced plants and every year they've sent us a free seed packet. This year, my husband and I went back and forth about watermelons but didn't order any, and then Baker Creek sent us a packet for free. Needless to say, I'm going to get to plant some. We have seeds that are 1-2 years old that are still producing plants. Love the product, the information and the seeds since they're all heirlooms. Couldn't be bigger fans and we live in LA, couldn't be more urban. Anybody can do this, just abandon your lawn and voila, a bountiful table of heirloom vegetables. So glad we found them when we did.

We have ordered 3 times from Baker Creek. Their customer service is excellent. The prices are very reasonable, we love the flat $3 shipping, and they include a free seed packet with every order. The orders are filled quickly. If the seeds you order are out of stock, they issue a refund.

We love their website, too.

Overall, we recommend Baker Creek to every gardener.

Have ordered a number of times from them now and will in the future often. The seeds were as advertised without short counting in the packet. They were viable and germination percentage true to form. Order arrived promptly on schedule and in good shape. Service is knowedgable and polite.

I am a produce grower that uses natural methods of growing. I am pleased to know that Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company is listed as a safe seed company. I have grown with Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds for two years now and will be growing their seed this year too. I sell produce at my local farmers market so I order seed in bulk quantities when I can and Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Co. is able to fill my orders. The seed arrives in usually 2 - 3 days which is very convenient for me. I have had very successful experiences with these seeds. Most all the seed comes up and has excellent yields. I especially like the selection of melon seeds. My favorite is the yellow Canary Melon. I also love the scallop squash and will be growing these again this year. I feel like the people at Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Co. are my friends. I have emailed questions and received prompt replies. They are very helpful and friendly people.
