New customer, ordered seeds for the first time from Baker Creek, (about $150 worth) and they never arrived! I don't have a ring doorbell or anyway to confirm but I suspect USPS simply delivered to the wrong, but very similar, address. They could have been porch pirated as well but, either way I was very distraught. I contacted Baker Creek customer service via email, explained the situation, even offered to pay half if not all for the order again. They refused me paying anything and simply sent my entire order again, even expedited so it would arrive in 48 hours! I got them today (I was stalking the mailbox this time)!!!!! They were so professional and kind and prompt, I won't ever shop for heirloom open pollinated seeds anywhere else ever again, BAKER CREEK IS THE BOMB!!!! All they said is they wanted me to be a satisfied customer... boy am I ever!!! Il tell everyone I know where to go for the best seeds!! Il stop by the farm this year too (live in Kansas so not a terrible drive) buy more, eat at the restraunt, etc. CUSTOMER FOR LIFE FOR SURE!!!! NAMASTE!!

Response time on personal questions is above and beyond impressive.
Bottom line, of course, is their seeds. I've had good success with germination. They give gift seeds and have free shipping. My favorite company.

I was looking for a rare pepper seed (Biquinho Red) and was able to find them in their catalog.
Shipping was free, but the site explained it might take awhile. I'm not planning to plant for months, so free shipping suited me well.

For some reason, the package never made it to me. I contacted Lisa at Rareseeds.com and she confirmed it should have arrived. She reshipped and they arrived only a few days later.

I am well pleased with the response and the quality of the package I received. Thank you Lisa!

I am a recent convert to the BK club. I would occasionally see the huge BK catalog for sale at book stores and think, "wow, pretty, but soooo expensive!" My mom would buy it for me as a Christmas gift and it was a total overload for my young(er) brain.

Fast forward to 2021 and the dark times of the pandemic, I was watching a lot of YouTube videos about gardening and many were mentioning BK. So, yeah, I had to go look.

I placed my first order in early 2022 and just received my latest order of plants a week ago. Have there been a few duds? Yes. A couple of packs of onion seeds did not germinate well. So what? The purple tomato controversy was a little weird, but I don't buy new hybrids until I hear good things from others about them anyway.

I love the way they package their items; everything has arrived in good shape. I love that they have free shipping and free seeds. I don't mind having to wait for an order to get mailed, especially if it's at the height of the season for seed & plant buying. I plan accordingly by either ordering early or planting them the following year, if the seeds arrive too late. So far, that seems to be working.

Each time a majority of the seeds have germinated and in some cases thrived despite my lately light-brown (and years ago pitch black) thumb.

No issues with their website, ordering, etc. All has gone smoothly, and the occasional free packet of seeds has turned out to be a nice bonus.

Note to other davesgarden.com users, this site has some significant usability issues (resetting password, getting with the times user authentication wise, etc.), which I've messaged them about. I'm a longtime IT guy and some of the hoops to jump through here are needlessly tedious and precarious.

Props to Baker Creek, regardless, for their solid service and fascinatingly wide variety of seed! This Florida man is happy to help propagate those in many cases rare varietals.

I was also very excited about the two packets of free seed and pleasantly surprised that it seems as though they took the time to look at what we had bought instead of just tossing something random in. I had ordered peppers and received wasabi and another pepper variety. While I can't tolerate either, my partner was super excited about the spicy additions.

I placed an order, never received it, was strung along by their rude reps for over a month denying replacement or refund while they forced me to wait nearly a month for a resolution. Meanwhile, the growing season window came and went while they strung me along. They could care less that they ruined the opportunity for me to grow these seeds this year. Absolutely horrible customer experience.

They eventually refunded, marked the items as out of stock, and voila! They clearly never even had or sent the seeds and were just conning me and hoping to keep my money. I felt that there was fraudulent activity going on with these dishonest, aggressive thugs.

Baker Creek literally thinks the world of gardeners owes them a living. Not a chance.

Seeds always germinate. I have had 1 low germ rate pack arrive out of probably hundreds of seed packets, it was labeled with the germination rate %. They doubled the count to make up for the low rate (that was still greater than 3/4, so basically a free extra half packet for the inconvenience of a few not sprouting).
The live plants are always alive and healthy.
Plus free seeds!

They didn't say thay when I ordered it. The receipt sent with the seeds shows the charge for it, but no explanation that it will arrive in a few weeks. So, I contacted customer service for that, as well, and asked for a phone call. Never got my call.
Very disappointed and frustrated with their "customer service" process.
