Great website and color catalog, my order was shipped quicker than I expected which was great. You have to love the variety of heirloom seeds they offer. Received a extra pack of seeds with my order which was a bonus.

This is my second year buying from Baker Creek and I've been very pleased both times. Ordering is easy, customer service is great, items arrive quickly, germination rates are awesome and the free package of seeds they throw in are much appreciated. It would be helpful if seed companies gave more info on days to maturity or whether something will or will not grow well in a particular zone in their catalogs, but their catalogs are still the best by far and they have such a huge selection that going through the catalog has almost become a hobby! Only problem I have is that with so many cool varieties it takes me a long time to choose and Baker Creek seems to be so popular that some of my favorite items sell out before I order which means I have to choose and order more quickly or start earlier - LOL

Personable, friendly customer service. Wonderful quality and output with their seeds. Wished for a bit more info with packets, but I've always been happy with the quality and quirkiness of their selections. It's obvious this is more than just a business, but a labor of love as well.

This is my second year of ordering with Baker Creek. My order arrived very quickly both times. The seeds I planted last spring were very successful, which is why I ordered from them again this year. The catalog is beautiful with very inspiring photographs. I've also shared my catalog with my friends. Just planted my seeds 3 days ago, and I'm looking forward to another exciting, fruitful season!

I have ordered from Baker Creek two times so far this 2010 season. They ask that you allow eight days for your order but both times my order arrived within four days of being placed. I urge anyone interested in buying heirloom seeds to patronize this company.

I have been a customer of Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company for over five years and have received consistently excellent seeds that were shipped quickly to my home. My orders have always been signed with a "thank you" by someone at the company, which lets me know that my order was important to keep Jere Gettle's entrepreneurial message about heirloom seeds alive and thriving. This is the only seed company that I have ordered from in the last three years and the only one that I expect to order from in the future.

Although I haven't planted the seeds I just received from Baker Heirloom, they were prompt in sending my order plus added a bonus pack of tomato seeds! Yippee!! And a nice note. Thank you! Hope the seeds grow as I'm trying something new this year.

I visited their very cool shop in the old bank building in Sonoma and forgot to get some of the seeds I wanted, so I ordered online. Wow, they had so many varieties I couldn't get anywhere else! 7 varieties of snow peas, and the Sugar Anns are just now producing and they're incredible. Fast shipping, good germination, green thumbs up.

My first experience with this company has been very satisfactory so far. The seeds I ordered arrived promptly. I am pleasantly impressed with their colorful catalog which is chock full of information & the fact that they have such a wide & extensive variety of heirloom seeds. I believe we should be supporting the people & organizations that promote heirloom seeds & their preservation. It is important to maintain these varieties & to avoid the proliferation of genetically modified seed.

We LOVE Baker Creek heirloom seeds. The seed catalog is as good as a Christmas present that we use over and over and save from year to year. The pictures are incredible and we love reading about your family and all the exciting happenings at the farm and elsewhere. Thank you so much for the planting instructions on the back of the seed packets; that's a great help (do wish the writing was a bit larger.) Those who answer questions and take phone orders are some of the nicest people we've ever "met" and quite efficient and prompt; we placed an order on April 7th and received it on the 9th. Thank you! I ordered seeds on April 6th (I assume this is abusy time for all seed companies) in the late afternoon on their website. I got the seeds April 9th. Great price for a lot of seeds, plus a free packet of pepper seeds. I was impressed.

Baker Creek shipped EXTREMELY quickly - I got my order in 2 days.

One of the packages of seeds had a few discolored (obviously dried or molded seeds). With natural products, such things do happen. I'm not usually one to complain, but I did mention it in my email to the company, and they sent a replacement pack for no charge. I was pretty impressed that the company wants to supply quality seeds and seeks to please the customer. I will definitely order from this company in the future. Great service - I am 100% satisfied.

Getting the catalog of seeds from Baker Creek is always a TREAT... it's a race between my husband and myself as to whom gets it first.. We just Love It !! After visiting Chaco Canyon for the first time in January, I found Chaco Canyon beans (white beans) while looking for beans to order. I bought them along with my other items. I'm very excited to try them along with the free package of Thai White Eggplant seeds. I'm already deciding what I want to buy for next year. I'm a customer for life. I'm a realistic person, not too concerned about immediate response and such. But i have to say the turnaround on my order was quick. What amazes me about this company is that they are a source of what for me was hard to find Asian vegetables. Having lived overseas in the Philippines and Japan for many years I have always tried to grow those vegetables I had come to covet back here in Southern Illinois (6a). Was blown away to find in one highly rated source all the vegetables I have grown and many I had been unable to find without doing a lot of traveling. I can now avoid all the low quality chinese wholesalers I have been dealing with. This company is perfect for all those interested in Asian vegetables.

They have a good selection of heirloom seeds, the catalog is a delight, their service excellent and they are kind to procrastinators.
Received March 26 an order via First Class mail placed through their website on March 19.
Best of all, they included a packet of free seeds that is USEFUL - Henderson's Pink Ponderosa tomato, an old heirloom beef-steak that I am definitely going to try.

Only 2 days & I received my order + a packet of free seeds =) I love the varieties they offer & the packets themselves are beautiful & large enough to use as garden markers. I placed my order on Friday evening. When I didn't receive an email acknowledging the order and stating when my order would arrive, I emailed the company late yesterday evening to ask how long it would take (this is Prime Gardening season and I thought it would be a week or two). I had an answer in my inbox this morning. They had already shipped the order!

It was awaiting me at the PO today. When I opened the mailer, I could see where they had pulled the order the same day - even though it was later in the day when I placed the order. They even offered an apology for any delays that might occur. The package would have arrived in 4 days, but there was a weekend to deal with and the PO had already closed by the time they received the order from me.

I'm pleased with the company. This is late March. I should have placed this order in mid-January, but didn't have the money to do so. To turn around an order in a matter of hours during the busiest time of the season shows a well organized business.

Furthermore, all of my seed order was for veggies, the free seeds were for a type of tomato - not some flowers like Babies' Breath or other common (or for that matter, uncommon) flower that I probably wouldn't use. Again, kudos to them for THINKING about the customer, their order and what they would be likely to want to try!

Seeds shipped and arrived within the week I ordered. Fast accurate processing of my order. Great experience with Baker Creek Heirloom seeds.

The seeds arrived within a couple days along with a free pack of tomato seeds. All seeds germinated just fine except the eggplant that had a 50% germination rate. I'm please so far and hoping for a good and yummy harvest!

My seeds arrived in a timely manner and in good condition. I appreciated that the website was up to date on the availability of the seeds. There were some seeds that I wanted and could not get but it was nice to know while ordering and not be disappointed through a note in the package. I have been ordering seeds from Baker Creek for about 3 years and if they are growing I will certainly take some credit for spreading the word whenever I get the chance. I give Baker Creek an A+.

This was my first year ordering from Baker Creek, but will definitely order again in the future. While I only planted a few tomato seeds from them, every one germinated. The peppers germination was around 67% which was normal for all the peppers that I started this year. Would definitely recommend.

The shipping was very very fast. Website was very easy to navigate. I also got a free packet of seeds with my order. Only negative thing was they were out of a few seeds I wanted. But thats really my fault for waiting so long to place my order. But Baker creek has such a huge selection of seeds it was not hard to find something.

I also recommend signing up for the seed catalog. Its full color catalog with over 100 pages!!!!
