You may be right Kassy. The virus is known as a "Windows PE EXE" that attacks one's start up program. It is supposed to have gotten in on an advertising code. I had three programs that needed to be cleaned.

Man do those palms have strange blooms, kinda like the caryota gigas dreadlocks...grin It is sorta of like family Dave...do what you want and need to do, just check in so we know everyone is okay...grin

I have a spyware program on his that I run every now and then.................Lord only knows where his daughter goes with it!

Very cool pictures Dave. I lost my last computer to a virus a friend sent me by forwarding a joke. We both had to replace out computers. Viruses suck. How bored do you have to be to try to think up ways to make peoples lives more difficult and expensive?

Man I'm gone for a little while and look what I missed. I'm all "Surgery what surgery? Rehab? ER visits? What the???" Glad it sounds like everyone's o.k. Geez!

My computer is smarter than me. When my tech friend set up my lap top he put all kinds of goodies on it. I don't know what half of them are or how they work. The other morning when I booted up I had a big warning "YOU HAVE A VIRUS." Then the darn thing asked me what I wanted to do with it. Well, I clicked on one of the options and the darn thing told me that was a bad choice and wouldn't do it. So I just kept clicking until it did what it wanted to do with it any way. (Scratch head) Does that make since.

The 5y/o was with his dad waiting while his mom was in o/p surgery.....had my book and was set for some escapism reading....two pages into the book and he was sitting beside me asking about the Aboriginal art on my tote.....shortly after that he was in my lap playing I Spy and Guess the Animal......made for a long wait. grin

funny, that happens to me ALL the time... kids and dogs...even that party Sunday, a little one ran up to me before each jump into the pool "watch me!." He was cute as anything though.

I swear I have Sucker for kids in flashing lights on my forehead....penance for lack of patience I guess....grin

I went out & looked at that giant weed that you said might be Johnson grass Moon...it was scary..had whiteflies and big ants all over it, and the stalk was huge & I decided I was leaving that for my husband to dispose of, too creepy for me lol

you know what, I just compared pics & mine really does look like a cornstalk.

Lynn, are you sure the chipmunks didn't plant some there from a bird feeder? They were real good at planting ours around the lawn.

there's a lot of farms around me, so it's possible it's a corn stalk....I don't know why I find them so creepy, probably because of Children of the Corn lol did any of you see that?
the squirrels plant a lot of acorns for me, but never in the right place, maybe I could draw them a map.

lol they must know their way around to bury the things in the first place & expect to dig them back up later. They seem to like putting them in the mulched beds.
when I pull the sprouting acorns up and put them in pots they reclaim them.

BF has 2 black walnut trees that the chipmunks just love.
One year he planted a bunch in a pot to try to get them to sprout. It has to be left outside in the cold.......Chipmunks are not dumb, they dug them all up and ate them on him!

I sure did Rachel, they kept it quite here so I could sleep ^_^
Back to work tonight.........for 4 nights.
Then vacation again.

Kassy, if you want a black walnut tree seedling......just let me know! I can send you one or two of those. Have fun at work;-)

This is what the bird planted where I work. I dug it out and took it to my BF's garden.
