Is There Ever Too Much of Luping's Basil?

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Their behavior was already odd. BTW my GS half brothers name is Malakai.hmmm

(Zone 5b)

yup tough to tell sometimes...
is he dressed all in black?? Where's Pastor Jim Rock of Ages when we need him?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Lynnie, you might want to spray paint a circle around that plant, that way you'll know if it is moving at night...you aleady said it hides behind the playhouse.....

The corn crawls in, the corn crawls out, the corn gets up and moves about....

(Zone 5b)

I looked at it today, no more bugs...doesn't look any bigger....but if it moved at night it would just get back in the circle by morning...

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

ya'll are too much today....please...pretty please...pretty pretty please....PLEASE someone take some plants!

(Zone 5b)

It must be the change in weather, we're all a little silly...
Trina I would very happily take some plants if I lived a reasonable distance from you. I have a big empty yard that needs some plants!

I am with Jean concerning Kassy, Dave and Trina having to take med's and insulin as part of your daily live's! Good vibe's to you all.

Kassy.....you are going to make Lynnie have nitemare's tonight with those picture's but thank's for adding those because Lynnie's post's make's me laugh hard about this;-)

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

how far away are you...at this point i'd be willing to drive them to you!!!!

Trina, do you have any cool vine's your are wanting to give away?

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

two types of vina, sweet potato, swedish ivy, german ivy, licorice vine, wire vine, and dichondra...thats just off the top of my head Rachel, she brought me over 1000 plants and I can't remember them all

Hi Trina, the ivy plant's would more than likely be hardy in your area. Alot of hedera's are hardy down to zone 5. The wire vine......what does that one look like? I am not familiar with that plant;-)

Thank's much

Rachel

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Trina, if you will be around this weekend I might find time to run down.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

that first one was supposed to be vinca....wire vine is hardy in zones 7 through 10 here's a pic...as for the rest I don't have anymore room in the garden, so they have to be putin pots, given away, or die

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

yes I will be home, I am still have to dig a Brugmansia, and 3 spider plants out of the garden!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

RacheI It is in the plant files http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/57658/
columnea x banksii

(Zone 5b)

I don't mean to harp on this, but I'm pretty sure you can see them in the second picture, crawling out of the corn field.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Who, the corn? or JJs grandkids...LOL

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

I will dmail you later in week. ExDIL lives in Farmington and she has to come pick up GS Friday after school. Maybe I could even talk her into picking up some and then she could bring you back those pots I have.

Do you plant them in there pots so they are easier to dig up?

Hey Thank's Jean for doing the foot work on that wire vine of Trina's!

Trina, I may be interested in that vine. Do you have a pic posted of it somewhere's? If not, would you post me one here?

Thank's much

Rachel

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

I wish I had...they got planted cause I ran out of pots earlier in the season

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

You are welcome Rachel, wasn't too hard as I tracked it down for someone earlier this week....wait, its only Tuesday....grin guess it was yesterday.

Thank's again Jean. If the wire vine is what Jean say's it is ...it is not cold hardy there Trina;-)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

The info I found all referred to it as a house plant. There is some confusion in plant files, but Todd said wasn't worth changing as is just common name duplication.

Too welcome Rachel...grin

Jean did you find anything by googling on this "wire" vine of Trina's by chance?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

The wire vine name I remembered from searching out goldfish plant. It is another name for it.hang on and I'll try to find all the stuff for you.

Is this what Trina has Jean?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Rachel, did you go to the original thread?

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Yep thats what I was thinking. I better take a paste and copy clas.LOL

Hi Jean. I went to the link that you applied from some gal named mylindak who asked about a plant. I was looking for a picture of Trina's so called wire vine though;-) I must be missing something here????

Rachel

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Sorry, didn't mean to be short. From all the bouncing around, it would now appear that a whole bunch of Columnea are called goldfish vine....and some of them are also called guppy vine, which is an entirely different TWO plants....Three genuses, three common names, a bunch of species.

Your doing just fine jjsgramma;-)

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Outta here Night all
Sweet dreams

Keaau, HI

Yes, show us a photo, it's easier to ID than guessing the plant.

In all reality, it would help Trinia if she was able to know if her "goldfish vine/wire vine" would be cold hardy in her area of the world;-)

Big hug's to all here

Rachel

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

That thread for mylindak is where I found the information that I gave to Trina when she said she had a wire vine. Wire vine is one of the common names for one of the 3 or 4 Columneas that are called goldfish/guppy vine. The actual Guppy vine is called nematanthus gregarius....i don't blame you for being confused, Rachel....heck, I was there and I am confused....grin
