hhhhmmm wel I am only 35 but permantly retired (Not by choice), My name is Katrina yes just like the hurricane so please don't hold that against me, though my kids wil tell you I am meaner and nastier than any hurricane. I might weigh in at 100 lbs. on a fat day. And after 2 divorces and other issues I am finally comfortable enough to wear what I want when I want. And I have 5 teenagers....what Kinda rock is that?

Minerals my favs are Amethyst (birth stone) lapis lazuli a and kyanite (it calms me)

Speaking of gardens...I planted some lilacs in the back and hid a bench in them so I can sneak away from the kids!

What about niterock for kyanite? Lame? I love minerals :) Carnelian is one of my favorites, and sapphire (birthstone).

I have large pieces of amethyst all over the house...pyramids, rough pieces, sliced geodes as doorstops...tumbled chips...I just can't keep the kids off my table....they have to finger everything

Trina ~ AK had a fabulous summer this year! Last summer I wasn't up here yet, but I was told it only hit 70 twice.
What's really funny though is I'm just now learning what Alaskan's call "pouring rain" and it's what Washingtonians (where I grew up) call a light drizzle. They're all "Man it's really coming down out there!" I'm looking outside going "What???"

Moonstone is my birthday stone...and Pearl, the moonlit orb, my birth stone...no way to get a "round" it....I am truly luney. grin

I went and visited a friend in Texas (she's originally from Michigan) and it "snowed" they closed the streets and we were out driving around and a state cop pulled us over freaking out that we were driving in the snow...we both innocently asked him what snow! Then informed him where we were from this isn't nothing!

We had about 3 inches of snow this year ....first time in 8 years. lasted about 24 hours....everything was closed including the post office.

My oldest son is a redheaded Pisces .....march 7th. He turned 36 this year.

February 25th for me...my oldest step sons is the 5th, my mom's the 12th, and the middle child's (my shadow) is march 18, and my step dads is march 6th...whole lotta pisces and aquarius going on in this house!

Hey, it was quality, not quantity....we got the whole show in less than 36 hours. Snow sleet wind gray skies cold schools closed snowmen and sun on white pristine snow....efficient I'd say...grin
