Good to hear, Cat. Computers can be as big a headache as they are useful....grin.

We have "60% to 80%" chance of rain for the entire week here too. Our temps are low 90's. all that adds up to Muggy with mosquitoes....

we have that humidity too Moon, dog days of summer...not so unusual here...no chance of beating my hair into submission...sigh i want to work outside but it's already blech (the weather, not my hair, but that has reached maximum unruliness also)
Cat this laptop drives me crazy! kids are on the desktop. I could never work with computers I have NO patience. I'm trying to mellow with age but it isn't working lol

I know what you mean Lynnie. I have a laptop here and never have liked it. They say we have to have one for when we travel around, but I rarely ever take it with me! I just get on someone elses computer who is out that day and check email that way! :-)

One thing is for sure, when this job is over or I retire (whichever comes first! ) give me a job as a door greeter at Walmarts! LOL. No more computers!!

Hi all, hot and humid here as well. Got a shower yesterday and just made it worse today. In for a cooling off the to rehab. By the way I love my lap top. Much more fun to sit in the recliner and tap away than at the desk top. Course the one I bought has a lot bigger screen than the old 85 model in the bed room. Might be why I like it better. Told the guy at rehab if this was helping me I sure was glad. Back had quit hurting and after two trips to him it is sore as can be.

Just want to invite all you guys to the bon fire and weiner roast. About got those trees piled and ready to burn. Will finish up tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

Doing my best Rachael. I believe in physical therapy. Probably wouldn't be the man I am today if not for cardiac rehab. I am assuming this guy knows what he is doing. My back isn't real bad, just some discs bulging, I assume from the fall I took. I guess the exercises are to strengthen the lower back muscles to hold them in place. Any way I've got nine more sessions. Hopefully, they will do the trick. Always had a strong back. First problem I've ever had with it.

Jim hopefully it has to get worse before it can get better? Your back I mean. If it's muscle strenthening exercise, maybe it's just the muscles that are sore. I know people who have done exercises to strenthen the back muscles and they really helped. One guy had degenerative disk disease and couldn't get out of bed it hurt so bad. But he started on the muscle exercises and was fine in a few weeks.

My folks are good. My dad had the PET scan done and they want him to come back in for a biopsy on the "mass". So apparently it's active. He doesn't want to do it right now though. Says it's not hurting him and if he starts having any kind of symptoms he will go then. Maybe! I think he has looked at all the years he has had after his bypass as extras, and is ready to go if it's his time. We all have mixed emotions, but it is his body and he is the one who has to make the decisions in the end. So we'll see.

Hi all, Been really busy here. Kids started back to school and although GS JJ doesn't live with me all the time, ( my son is a single father works 2nd shift and JJ goes to his Moms in the summer) he is here all week during school and takes over puter after school. Son tried picking him up when he gets home but didn't work because GS wouldn't go back to sleep and then tired at school. Been mowing and pulling weeds, picking and freezing veggies

Lynnie I have lost 2 inches!!! Keep up my good work. LOL

it will work out, have lot of options. I think anymore coupons and discount stores are the norm. I personally like resale shops, we have one called second time around that sells very nice stuff.

Hey Gang, good to see all my favorite people are up and running. Glad to have jjs back in the saddle again. Enjoy those grands while you can. Mine are all about grown, 24, 19, 19, 16, and 13. Seems like only yesterday they were born. Glad you son is doing well. Tell him to quit worrying about the bills. When they come in send some type of payment. If they cash the check it is a contract. Just don't ever fail to send it in every month. I'm still paying on one bill from my last heart surgery. At the rate I'm paying it will take two more years to pay it off. Jokers collected enough off both insurance policies they should have written the rest off. Their greed is what is stimulating this crazy presidential heath bill.

I found out about Cat's mom and dad through personal email. It wasn't on the thread. We need to keep them in our prayers.

We got two inchs of rain yesterday and predicting more late this afternoon and some the rest of the week. Hope it will move out and let our farmers get their corn and beans out. Probably wouldn't take but a couple of weeks and they would have it way down.

Just about through with piling the trees. Worked a while this morning but had to stop and try to get the yard mowed. Like about an hour on that. Got some blocks to heavy for me to move. I'll have to leave them for my son to move next time he is over. Got to get caught up with this stuff. Time to get my fall garden in.

GS came home yesterday all happy he only missed 3 out of 15 on spelling pre test. His reward he gets harder words for the final test. I suppose it would be wrong to tell him next week make sure he misses more so he can keep the easier words right? LOL

It's a cool game where you plant stuff, watch it grow, have other people harvest/plow for you then you reap the rewards in farmtown coins so you can buy stuff for your farm and such :-)! It's sooo fun! My niece made me try hers and I couldn't stop playing! ^_^

When my son was in school, he always made a 100 on spelling and an A on book reports, then he didn't have to study for language. Each counted a third of the grade. Boy hated school. If it hadn't been for football I would have had real problems with him.

Jim take it easy on the back. None of my sons liked school made for a long 12 years. Spelling was always a hard one for them they hated it. So glad it seems easier for GS. Seems if you can spell well reading and language come easier too. Math is his downfall, mine too.

Well, I think I am 999. Who will be 1000? Just got in. Had an early a.m. surgery. Prognosis looks good, but waiting for biopsy result. The heat today after the rain yesterday is terrible. Decided to just flake out in the recliner until late this afternoon. Got so much to do, I don't know where to start. Think I'll set off my bon fire tomorrow while everything is still wet. Got a surgery at Shreveport Monday. Two and a half hour drive over there. Brain tumor. Supposed to be benign.

I get 1000!!!! Yippee. Gotta send this before someone beats me to it!
