yes, dropped in and said hi..must re-evaluate my schedule to see if I've time to participate..sounds like fun?
You know me, game for anything..
Hi....
Wow..Got kind of carried away...lol, lost in craft table
But mines almost finished!
Will post a pic so you can see Santa...
Of course mine has a story.
This one is a gift to a special women Susan at work.
We have worked together for 16 years now.
She is a darling lady. Always thinking of everyone,
helpful, etc...She has gifted me with many times just out of blue sky
because well she wanted to, lol. I have always wanted to give her a special gift and
I think this one says it all! (she also collects snowmen) thus, my theme scene!
Judy/Judy/Judy....didn't want to leave before you came on, not right leaving the room and closing the light before all the crafters have left...
OMG, you just get so wrapped up into your projects don't you MISSY...shaking my head...
When will you give her your hand made treasure?
Awwww, Thank you Betty.
Been having so much fun...LOL, i am a great as you go. Got a plan in the head and just think about what is needed.
Was thinking of this scene since we started so I new what I wanted. just have to make time to do it so THANK YOU!
Still have to put faces on the snow people, (beads) and make the green scarf and mittens for the other snowlady..
Can you tell the snow people made walking stick for Santa?
Fleur, I just used the same trim as I used on the bottom of the dress for the sleeves, then gathered them. I didn't do my neck like we were supposed to. Mine's above the dowell. My mistake for jumping ahead!
And I did pick up the cones out of my yard!
Well, it's been more than a couple hours now...
staring at my Metro Santa and still think he needs some pizazzz.... light bulb moment coming too slow!!
Oh well.. when it comes to me, Betty, I'll post a pic.
Judy, you're a very thoughtful gal to make sure your friend's kindness is not forgotten. I bet she'd cry when she gets her surprise.
Jaye, pizzazz..probably glitter would do it, go ahead, be brave...
Judy just know she'll appreciate all the thought that went into your project..
I've just cut out two more in purple, I just didn't have enough for the scarves, so I'll have to come up with something!
Could you find more of same or contrasting or matching piece to do the hood?
I don't know! Some kind lady sent me what I have! I'll be going to my girls' house for Thanksgiving, they still have a WM, maybe they'll have some!
Help!!
I am way behind you all! grr!
just noticed no nail in my kit......anyone have any idea how long nails are and if they are headless nails or do they need a head on them?
Headless and and 3" long...just tap it into the dowel, you'll see I drilled a hole, only has to dig into the dowel enough to make it secure...can't understand why no nail? was the bag opened? or the box torn?
Yes, Jay and Betty...
You should have seen the look of delight when she saw my practice piece.
She will love it, this I know...But I think the Letter I am writing, will bring her to tears.
Lol, she is more sentimental then me!!
lol, maybe I should give it to her privately. I am planning to give it her at the Christmas pot luck.
December 5.
... OMG great tunes now...LOL gonna go sing now! LOL, was dancing last night...Ohwah, even Steve!!
Oh My gosh, I have been looking at eveyones Santas...WOW, They all so incredible.
Some wonderful decorations...Yep Betty, all from same kit! Just think More to come!! So exciting to see all the new creations.
I am going to llok at them again...they are so cool!
My second one will be a very special Santa. Hope to get it finished in a week, and that will go to my very special sister in France :D
Getting all sentimental now..
I'd love to do one like Phyllis'............love the idea of an outer robe.

Judy, your friend is very fortunate. She is going to appreciate this santa and snowmen you made out of love. When you have time, will you share a photo from the side or back? I'm puzzled about the blue fabric hanging from his arms and the trim that is peeking out. Thinking you've done something very creative but it's not showing up very well from this angle.
Well, phooey. My brand new sewing machine is misbehaving. Spent 1/2 the afternoon trying to figure out what's wrong. Practically took it apart and put it back together. Something is causing the bobbin thread to bunch up. It stops the machine and displays the message 'main motor overload'. Ugh! My poor santa is standing there with no hood and no hair on the back of his head. Hope he doesn't get too cold tonight.
Looks like my santa will be delayed. If all else fails I'll pull out the old machine to finish him. (duh - didn't think of that until now) He's very upset about not joining his santa friends and asked me to take his photo (as is) just to prove he does exist. Here he is .... waving ...... "Hello, I really do exist!"
Debra I like your Santa's arm up waving. His eyes even says"HO HO HO MERRY CHRISTMAS!"
I think he's saying "Power to Santas"!! We DO EXIST!!
Ya Gotta Believe!
I'm still working on mine.
LOL Jaye! Yea, Santa power!
How's it going, Deborah? Making headway? So I'm not the only one that didn't finish today? Post yours 'as is' also so he can have company.
Mind if I copy your hand wave? I really like that! I hope to have some sort of decent pic by tomorrow.
Checking in on you..you've got me laughing..
It will look spectacular when finished...
Waving back dear santa...
Deborah, I'm not the first to wave a hand in the air. Nothing original about that. LOL! Of course your santa can wave. Mine will be holding a staff but, first, he has to find a hood to cover his cold head and a few forest animals to accompany him.
I just did a few touches with the fur I have for trim. I got to do a do over. My Santa is starting to look like Sacquatch. :(
okay, sorry... I am catching up! lol!
but totally lost on the hair. looked for the directions.... cant find them in all the threads :(
how do we do the toupe?
Long day girls, time for my bed...which means for those of you who haven't finished because of the time zone, know I'll be on tomorrow while at work and can resume the craft session...
Sorry..
OOOOpps just maybe if I'm dozing someone else may be able to help..accomplished Santa makers that you are..
