This is Elliot. My youngest found him cold and scared in the parking lot at work. Life will be cushy now.

Ahhh isn’t Elliot just the cutest, i am sure he will have a cushy life…how can some be so cruel..

I’d be spending the day hushing him..wished my Ziggy would be more cuddly..he wants to be hugged when he wants to be hugged, he does lay next tome and purrs so guess he is content.

Sitting here in car dealership

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Cecil's specialist called and said he has no parasites or bacteria and heart is fine and so is pancreas. They are zeroing in on the smaller intestine. Having a scope nxt Thursday. Goes in at noon on Wednesday and should be ready to come home Thursday at 5pm.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

I typed this last night and did not send it. Cecil and I had a tough night last night. He was up at least every 25 minutes. I wear an I-Watch because if I fall while helping him in the back landscape, I want someone to know. Then this monig, on our walk, he got really tired coming back. So this afternoon my daughter walked Emma and I took Cecil on a shorter walk. He would be very unhappy without his walk. Guards said if he got to tired, they would come get us in the golf cart.

I got many rooted coleus' potted yesterday. Cut some very expensive annuals (because they are new) and tried some a week ago. they root very easily. Let's just see if they will live in the soil. The branches are a very dark purple and the leaf is a very dark green and the back of the leaf is purple. No flower but very striking. Also have the new lime green sweet potato vine. Tried that also and it rooted in less than a week. Cut some more and about 6 are potted up. I will attach photos tomorrow.

I have to stop for a moment to see if I can get Cecil to eat anything.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

good to see you stop in Liz.

Linda, I hope things are improving. You & your town are in my thoughts and prayers.

Betty, happy to see you got your pattern already!!! Now to get all that fabric!!

Sharon, Hopefully now that you are more confident of the proper DX, you will be able to treat Cecil and see some relief.

Karen, you got a little Sweetie! He looks like he will mature into a BEAUTIFUL cat!! I'm so glad you found him.

Met Marie for our 5 week haircut and then shopping for the fabric we needed to complete our BOM in embroidery. I am sooo READY for this block exchange to be done. I tried to talk shop owner into giving up the final month NOW so we could complete NOW, before the holidays but she wasn't going for it. Darn it.

While we were out shopping, Marie's daughter called to say she could schedule our Covid boosters TODAY! We stayed in town & continued shopping until our 6.45 appointment. I had told Phil (Marie's husband) I would cut his hair today. So AFTER our shots, I went out and took care of that and went straight home.... LONG day... from our haircut until home was 11 & 3/4 hours!

Do any of you have one of those calculators for figuring out yardage for quilts? Which one do you have? do you like it? Do you which one you would recommend?? Sitting in Joann's trying to calculate Marie yardage I was thinking that would make a great Christmas gift!! I would LOVE to buy EQ but I'd probably spent all my time playing with the software and never getting anything made!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

That was a long day Pat, you did get lot done though.
Not my kitten, my son found it at work in the parking lot, cold and hungry. He took it home to live a very spoiled life.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Yep, reread your post & I blew over or forget YOUR YOUNGEST found it & took it home. Either way, Elliot is one lucky kitty!!

Arm hurts this morning. I remember that happened with the prior vaccine shots too, about 36 hours of pain.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Afternoon, weather is overcast, sun trying it’s best to come out so Roots Cafe can have their 1st year opening celebration..band just started. Yard is filled with vehicles so that the workers vehicles are out of the main parking lot.

Charlie and Alan called, they will be dropping in this afternoon to take out and replant angel trumpet plants, also had a call because somebody posted they were looking for
Someone to teach her son sewing, had 3 calls in an hour ask8mg if I’d would take it on seeing several posted I’d be great at it. Venessa is bringing her 8 year old over this afternoon to talk… so busy day!

Greg called early this morning, more to let me know he got some sleep, I’m afraid he will have heart attack so he is keeping me updated that he is ok..he and Mel were on their way to help Kyle cut wood, wood burning will help keep that big house warm.

Sherry from Ohio, one of the 3 gals who came for a weeks visit every year just got a dog, Curry from the vets..an elderly couple were going into a home and couldn’t take him with them so the vet called Sherry, Curry couldn’t find a better home just as that little kitty..kudos to those who rescue animals.

Pat, after hearing you got your booster I checked to see if we could get ours, not available as yet..when my doctor comes i will ask to be put on his list, need flu shot and vaccine in my hip. Pat hope the arm will soon stop paining.

Had a response to my selling my snow tires,mi didn’t fall for offer to buy because i think it’s a scam..posting a photo of the man’s reply, i responded that cash at pick up is only way i will sell..Lordy can one not do anything that scammers aren’t out there trying to take advantage.

Been working on Christmas presents, just parcelled up my first..this morning i did 2 towels of another set letter “P” so i need lots of those, as well working on those 3 gnome panels, goal is to have them completed by end of weekend.

What are you all up to today’s?

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad you are being cautious Betty. Never know these days. Better safe than sorry. Make sure you have someone with you, if you meet him somewhere. Preferably in a public place.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

This is a scam. Mostly tell by the their wording English is not their first language. The Money Order offer is almost always a scam.
Yes do not meet alone. Meet at a very public place. Your house is not a good idea. No need for them to know where you live.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Thanks, sad you have to be so cautious these days..

Just met an 8 year old boy who really wants to sew, he will come Saturday and likely a few more..wants to make Xmas pressie’s for family

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Oh fun Betty, a little boy to teach! YEP, the person was a scammer.

Talked with Marie, she said Phil is gushing that this is the BEST haircut he has ever gotten. It was an OK haircut, nothing special in my opinion. I told her I figured it out... why it was the BEST haircut he ever got... it was in his home & he didn't have to leave and it was FREE!!! LOL Seriously though, his last haircut he went to barber and a little boy was there SCREAMING his lungs out. Phil was NOT a happy camper, he hates going to the barber under any circumstances, so this latest visit to the barber was a real ugly experience!

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Betty, I had the same kind of offer when I had Vern's car for sale. They were sending check and a truck would be by to pick up the truck. I looked it on on the internet and they said it was a scam. My granddaughter sold her iphone and never got paid. Funds were no good.

I started cutting Vern's hair when he no longer wanted to leave the house. I must say I got better the more I cut but he was not difficult. Just getting him to hold still was the problem. I had to shave his ears because he grew more hair on his ears than on his head.

Cecil has had a tough day. We also had a tough night last night. He was up about every half hour. Today was the first time he has not barked and jumped around when we started to go fo our walk. He would hardly eat anything. I am giving him ensure. Vet says it is too rich but it is the only thing he seems to keep down.

I have not got my booster yet. Pat sounds like you and your sister had a great time.

It is our bedtime. Hugs to you all. Photos are cutting either rooting or rooted and planted. Mostly coleus

Wonderful group picture Linda. I envy your time with DG friends!

Sharon, THAT is a lot of plants!!! Are most of those slated for outdoors once they are all established and weather/season is right? I USED to have indoor plants, a beautiful "wall" of them hanging down from the ceiling to the 1/2 wall along the stairs, THAT was LONG time ago. I have not had any since.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Oh Linda, That was such a fun trip. I so enjoyed meeting you all in person. The weather was crappy but didn't slow us down much.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning..yikes just made the morning bit..gorgeous day out there, Sharon dropped in the Charlie and Allan..he took my Angel trumpet out of the ground, made me 5 baby cuttings, now let’s hope i don’t lose them over the winter..showed Charlie where i was going to put them over the winter and he said they should get enough s7n, now I’m babysitting angels. I gave him a container of 50. 4’oclock seeds, Charlie loves to garden

What a sunshine day..I’ll take a lot more..

Oh Lindakay, don’t you just love. Getting a memory photo in the morning…that was indeed a fun trip, i have photo’s somewhere with you in them Karen , you arrived a little later in the morning..we had breakfast and the gang met up at Cracker Barrel, Walt had drove you.. Ann had come with me that trip.. I so love Frankenmuth..maybe this spring..big sigh

Lordy Sharon that is a lot of cuttings, you overwinter them in the garage? Not a wonder you have such an array of plants..Odd that they haven’t found what Cecil is down with..poor babe..I’d be giving him the drink as well.

Thinking of doing a kids workshop using those Victorian Santa’s, just had to vacuum up the cuttings… still so many left, can’t believe i bought so many.

Making chicken souvlaki a d rice for lunch, not likely am i going to want supper but i took a container out, note to self, mark what it 8n it…guess i am having stew lol

Back to my sewing and cleaning up spare room for Jamie who I’ll move in for a few months providing it works out.

Car dealership called yesterday afternoon, if my tires fit the hatchback they just sold they may come and get tires/rim, unlikely they will fit but am hoping.

Ziggy does NOT look impressed.

I need to sew up a pair of fleece sleep pants for Kevin's soon-to-be-step daughter. She was heart broken the "Frozen" print fleece pants were too small. I have plain navy blue to make up to coordinate with her top. Marie & I leave for Portland tomorrow morning and come back Tuesday. I should find my umbrella, it's rarely needed in my neck of the woods but there....

Victoria Harbour, ON

Poor thing,,you will make it right Pat..guess the fabric is no longer? Was just gabbing with Debbie, she was saying the pickings were mighty slim in joanns.

How far is Portland from you? Another class?

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

It's 4 hours away, we are going to take my aunt's ashes for internment with her husbands.

The original pants were cut out of a pajama set I bought off online. No one had Frozen's Elsie PJs in her size and that is what she REALLY wanted for a nightshirt. I bought an adult pair of PJ and cut down the shirt into a night gown and then the pants. Gloria had given me a pair of leggings "that fit" and I made the pants considerably bigger but not enough apparently. So no, the fabric is no longer available.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning…brrr 42f feels like 39f and rain.

Pumpkin…

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Awww sorry you lost your pumpkin. The animals will eat them if they get a chance and they are a very good food for them. Zoos like this time of year because they are able to get plenty for the animals as soon as Halloween is over.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Yes, our decorations become their buffet! Sorry you lost your pumpkin before you were ready to give it up Betty!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Guess they were hungry
Think my snow tires are sold..we will see
Car dealership sold car he thinks needing tires/rims like mine..we will see, hope so..they take up a lot of room under back closed in deck

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Looks like those little bandits got your pumpkin.

Sure hope your tires are sold.

My endoscopy and MRI is done.
Now we wait for results.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Great news Lindakay, how long do you think it will be before you get results..how did you make out with MRI? I still have over 2 month wait for mine.

Linda goes in the morning for her scope..

Had a busy day, dealership guy came got tires, lady transferred $$$, i said I’d sent it back if they don’t fit..then a lady came from the city, almost 2 hr drive one one..brought tshirts and jersey’s from deceased hubby..wants 2 small throws for her kids .. i sat tonight for 4 hours cutting off seams, collars etc… likely got 2/3rds done..prep work takes a lot of time for these type of throws.

Raining, high winds..Ziggy is all nestled in next to me, not sure who will doze off first.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

My follow up appointment is in a month. But Dr said he would call if anything needed attention right away.
He did tell me I could slowly start adding solid foods back in my diet.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I hate it that Drs. seem to think "See me in a month" is a magic date.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Evening, busy day today, was a rainy day

Lindakay here is hoping slowly you will get back to eating all your favoritesmwithoughntme causing issues..yes, like Karen said, see you in a month,as though that will be the magic trick.

Girls were here, got all the T-shirts’ done ready to use then Sharon and i were off to thimbles and things, got my batiques for guitar project and fixings for towel monograms , spent my allowance within an hour..but couldn’t find any more sets at Walmart Orillia. I’ll buy even though not the nicer ones the kits they have left..think they has 3+4 the other day, then check in Barrie.

Linda got home around three from her procedure, and called 911 awhile ago… feeling really ill.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Of goodness, I will be sure to keep Linda in my prayers.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Oh Betty, I do hope Linda will be OK. I have always sailed right through them like nothing but the last time I had quite a bit of difficulty afterwards. Makes me a bit nervous for the next one and I never have been before.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, sure hope they are right and it’s a sunshine day..must do one more cut and get battery in..

Victoria Harbour, ON

Prayers for Linda

She is not doing well..

From Linda, just got this..she got home this morning, back to emerge

Just arrived in emerge. Bp 85/55. Low Bp, bad headache, chills, sore stomache. They said come back if i have same symptoms

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

do I understand this is her 2nd time back to emergency?? I wonder if Linda knows that she can tell the hospital that she does NOT think it's a safe discharge. The hospitals get a little concerned about readmissions (AND they should!) they get financially penalized if they discharge too soon. Poor Linda, she is in my prayers.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Also sending prayers for Linda.

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

Prayers for Linda. I do hope they can get this resolved.
