Morning, too dark out to know what kind of day it will be, know at some point rain..

Karen, glad you are home safe and feeling well, sometimes the trips take a tole on you. Photos of Roland please.. how many does that make? Will you be going back up for Christmas?

Susan , big arm wraps from all of us and prayers being said. Doesn’t sound as though the marriage will be fixable..you’ve tried but seems her pull is very strong…
Here is hoping you can find yourself some piece. Police/court will keep getting stronger on restriction about you both seeing rather again, they can themselves say no contact. Will be mega struggles for both of you.

Do you have in larger towns apartment that rent is geared on income that you could move to, no upkeep etc?

Seeing i have supplies ready for the snowman hat course a week Sunday all pizza sauce cans spray painted it’s time to move on to the 2 memory quilts.. I can set embroidery machine on and do a few pieces, multi task..feeling I‘m getting behind, still need to do Grayson’s play car matt and Jeff’s Guitar one..
Coffe and toast filled my tummy, off to the land of workers

Betty - there is NO way I'm moving. This is my home, and it will stay that way. The police released him last night. He's going to stay at a hotel, he says. I noticed this morning that her vehicle is gone, so they're together. I figured it would happen. My pastoral care friend said that she had difficulty thinking straight when her vitamin B1 & sodium went down, so maybe that's an issue, but....... "not my monkey, not my circus". As to the rent of the pad my home's on, it's pretty reasonable. A senior's apartment here would cost about $15 a month MORE than what I currently pay.
I've moved my funds to an account he has no access to, and cancelled him off the law firm's (advice only) we held together. Making plans for Christmas without him, etc.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Our plan is to go back up for thanksgiving if my foot behaves. We should have waited I guess but we just felt we needed it.

This is Roland at 4 months. He is such a cuddler. He doesn't get that from his dad for sure.

Oh Karen, what a little Doll..he looks as though he is full of fun. Yes, thanksgiving is
so close to Christmas for you to travel, are you hoping to do both?

Looks as though you have everything under control, as long as you are not forced to sell because of his % of ownership owed to him… I don’t blame you..thought there would be a big difference, only difference is upkeep..these homes keep needing work don’t they.

Greg called me last night, said he spoke to Ray who does the fall cleanup..said he is hoping to get here by weekend..that is ok but if we get 3 days rain like they say we will get he won’t get it done.

Got photo borders on, all the quilt blocks ready to quilt prior to putting together, tummy says it’s hungry so best i have lunch and get to it.

Ohhh I had the oddest feeling someone was here with me while i was working on memory quilt….body order a few times but likely his sweaters I’m cutting up and ironing still had a scent..maybe he wants to say I’m doing a good job

You are really chugging along on that quilt! It will be BEAUTIFUL I am sure!

Sorry to hear your going through hard times Susan. Keeping you in our prayers.

It's been a difficult few days for Jessica's Hubby Bryan's family. His grandmother passed on Sat. On Monday his grandfather passed and yesterday his uncle passed. The whole family is reeling. Grandmother had been in good health until she took a bad fall and never really recovered. Grandfather had dementia and then got Covid. He knew she was gone and was broken hearted. Uncle had no serious health problem but they are thinking heart failure. He died in his sleep.
Jess and I went out today and I got a Honey Baked Ham, cheeses and croissants to send over as the family is gathering.

Oh my goodness that is a LOT of losses super quick. THAT would be a lot to take in all at once.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Labels & bindings on, ready to wrap. Two more gifts DONE & off the list. I need to stop this and get my Block of Month embroidery blocks done. They are due next Wednesday. I need them ready so I can drop everything when Dana's quilt comes back from the longarm pro. It is the first time I have sent a quilt out.

Karen, so sorry to hear of so many passing in the family. Sending our condolences and prayers for all.
Pat, those quilts are beautiful.
I love the carpenters star. They are so easy to do.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Carpenter's Star makes a great tree skirt too. I added the holly because it seemed like the white was too empty. That was free hand embroidery, didn't have my machine then.

Afternoon..up and out of bed at 5:30am..drats couple hours of listening and watching Ziggy trying to catch a mouse… at one point saw it near my pillow so got up and got a bag and paper towels grabbed it and out to the door it went, by then i was wide awake..put everything out into bins this morning after putting stew on, thought hmm maybe another hour sleep, went to make my bed a pond there was the mouse, feet up, checked garbage no mouse just handful of paper towels, guess i thought I had it but didn’t. grrrr

Lordy that is indeed a lot of deaths all at once, hard to deal with emotions i am sure.

Went downstairs with coffee, almost done adding border on the 1 memory quilt, tomorrow the boys come so i will clean up and Sunday or Monday is another day.

Love the quilt photo’s girls..yep one year i made all the kids and some family members/friend a tree skirt..loved it..almost finished when i discovered the strip star quilt so didn’t take me l9ng to change designs

Karen that hand stitching is something else, ALL your pieces are treasure!!!

Marie dropped 8n just as i was going to get my 2 totes, could find bedding for the room mom always sleep in i took in 2 totes and Marie got 2..figure 3 more totes then the trees..shaking my head, who has so much Christmas decor lol

And as I say that on my list of things to do is buying an ornament at Garden Gallery for Roger..haven’t missed a year since he passed..tree is getting laden with ornaments after buying 31.

June just called me to say Alex is in the hospital in ICU, best place for him, maybe she can get a bit of rest, she looks exhausted.

Decided to take a run to Midland and pick a few things i need .. 2nd week no sales flyers, not liking that, guess they figure we look on internet flyers.

Best i get a move on, usually I’m in bed by 4 lol

Good to see you online Betty. You are always so busy!!

I bought Tshirts intentionally in wrong sizes (the correct size was not available) with the intent of remaking them for Karina (Kevin's soon to be step daughter). When they came, I was not happy with the quality of the fabric and ATTEMPTED to return them Between computer issues & poor customer support, I gave up. I started remaking one of them last night. Headed to Marie's today.

Goodness, the Carpenters star is PERFECT for tree skirt! You could not ask for better shape to adapt. The construction is easy enough but I really struggled a little with laying it all out. If I had been able to use a design board instead of the too-small table it would have been easier I think. I am used to making BLOCKS and then laying out the blocks, this "whole thing" was a bit of struggle for me.

I got the Embroidery blocks done last night but I am having trouble with the throat plate, one of the clamps is bent slightly and I could not get it back on. I resorted to switching out to the single hole one, rather than the larger opening. I will bet THAT new piece won't be cheap.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Oh Betty, sorry for confusion. I didn't embroider by hand it was free hand by machine. Before I had an embroidery machine.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Well, that is still YOU doing it, not loading the machine with a pattern & pushing a button!!! Beautiful work.

Though I’d share my favourite design for tree skirts other than carpenters..
Just got in from town, sky is angry..wind is up and started to sleet, isn’t it always the way, that is when you need gas.

Bought Rogers tree ornament, very pretty..will take photo of it tomorrow.

Did some cleaning and re-arranging today. I had bought a cabinet I thought would go good in the kitchen. It was just $25.00 at an auction. We have also inherited the grandparents parakeets. Since we have two cats here and one is a very bad cat, we needed a safe place for their cage. Also cage needed a cleaning very badly.
Cabinet fit just where I had hoped it would and is perfect for all the things I needed a place for. Old, smaller cabinet is perfect for a safe place for bird cage. We did some cleaning while we were re-arranging and we are well satisfied with how it all tuned out.
Bonus the new cabinet also holds the bread maker, the toaster and the air fryer. The previous one only held the air fryer. Counter space is at a premium here so that was a good plus.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

WOW Karen, sounds like you really scored with THAT purchase!

Oh happy days, Ray is here, yard/gardens pretty well done,
Evan and Mason just left, Evan watched tv all night, he just wasn’t with it but went home with a smile

Stew is smelling really good

What a spot on trendy project!!! That was a stellar idea of a sewing project. Something they can proudly give as gifts if they can pry their own hands off them!! Do the boys have access to a sewing machine at home? I can see them making more of those, maybe even tiny ones for the tree.

Victoria Harbour, ON

No they do not..the 6 year old came, mom stays and today she brought her hubby so I would know who he is..the little one is brilliant, he wanted gnome to be female gnome..lol. He was really impressed watching Ezra sew, i forgot to take his photo.

Next Saturday extra won’t come because he is coming Sunday for the snowman craft..the other 2 boys want to make coasters so I’ve a lot of 5”squares that they can easily make coasters, the ones that wine glass base fits in.

Wow my yard looks nice without all those leaves, glad that it’s all done. He was telling me he didn’t think Andrew was going to plow this year..he has done my yard for 18 years, hope he at least does his favourites..now i am worried. rat his brother said he will go have Andrew call me one way or another

Sharon is having Bernie, I and Mike and better halves over for early Xmas dinner seeing that Bernie is leaving for Florida..mom just called, she is coming up for 3-4 days again, that way she will see Bernie before he sets off to Florida… she loves decorating trees so seeing as the 2 totes of ornaments are on back porch I’ll bring the tree in, set it up so when she is here one evening we can decorate it.

I’m chilled to the bones..just ran my bath, will soak a bit and warm up, guess being out to talk to Ray then going to Foodland for bank machine so I could pay him didn’t help

Wonder is the stew is cold enough to put in refrigerator??might have to put my alarm on around 9 or so and get it in refrigerator..

Sooo now that I ramble on how are you all doing and what did you get into today??
