Pegi, you have to remember he is on Morphine, and he may now know the difference. Just tell him he is in bed! Morphine can make you do some really strange things!
Can't wait to see the bag you got from Betty!
Rm. 287 "Sweet Interruptions"
Everybody okay? Seems funny no one has posted since yesterday before noon!
Raining here! Thank you God we needed it so badly!
Just another day when things can go wrong no matter how you tried to avoid it, Cookie. Rains have stopped but the thunder in the house continues.
Good morning my lovely lovely sistahs.
Pegi, I'm surprise that Betty's gift get to you so fast!! That's her special gift for a RWB swap V.I.P.
Do post a picture on the swap thread. She was all excited knowing what you need and of course, as usual, she puts me to shame with her determination and quickness.
You're right LK. Morphine can warp one's mind.
There will be more surprises from Darwin coming your way Pegi.
My oldest godson, living in Indiana, just celebrated the birth of his first born. Myles Amir Karimi.
Sure did welled up yesterday, I'm a godgranma!! GGM? New one for Ronna there!!! lolol!!
I'll try to post a picture later.
Got trucks to be inspected and taxes paid today.
A state where you have to pay your auto tax, every year, not just when you purchase it!!
Coffee is served!! DD and beignets!
I am here. I had bad allergies yesterday, woke up with a swollen eye, so I took a claritin. It made me feel out of it most of the day..
But I am feeling better today! It is already 75, supposed to reach 99 today!
Morning Jaye, congrats on the new addition to the family! Can't wait to see his picture!
Hard to believe you have to pay taxes every year on the trucks.
We have to pay for plates every year, but that is about $70.
Oh God, I hope you won't get those numbers LK!
Feel better soon!
LK, my MIL finally realized the taxes she had to pay every year. Yesterday she was screaming she can't pay the elec. and water bill as she had to pay $700 on her brand new car, and she just paid the taxes on the car when she first bought that! The county said, it doesn't count???
She's fixing to fuss at the dealer for they told her not to worry about it till next year.
She asked me whether next year it would be cheaper... a ton of bricks fell on her head, when I told her maybe 10 percent cheaper. Tax rates are by the blue book!
The private license plates are around thirty each, and our taxes are 40 and 25 for the two trucks.
That's why the hesitation to buy a new vehicle. The taxes will eat us up every year, until the sixth year!

That is just wrong!
good morning sistahs
I have a God-Grandchild also Jaye, it's my daughters God-daughter.
Some of my grands are God-children of my kids too so that can get really convoluted.
Well, it's 58 for the white Chevy, though it's a 2005. and the red Silverado will be 30!! That's a 1995!! It's NC for you LK! That's why I won't recommend people to move here.
You don't see much brand new vehicles in this county.
Helllllllllllllllooooo Sis Kathy. Good luck today, hope all is well with your appliances :D See who's ready for FOOTBALL!
Karen, it hasn't come to being convoluted, yet! I just have one godgrandchild, it's a start. My other god daughter's not having a child anytime soon, as she's mapping her career.
The Karimi family picture.
Susie is from Louisiana, and Sia, her husband, is from Iran. He came here in 1975 before the Iranian revolution.
Sahson, the youngest son, carrying his son, Cameron.
There's Kayvon (my godson) with his wife Celia. Yes, he was in the marines and can't imagine this kid who was a reckless rebellious teen is now a very responsible adult. I am very proud of him.
Awe, thanks for the photo's Jaye. They are so precious! Do they live close so you can visit?
You would think the dealerships would be protesting that tax law!
They all live in Merrilville, Indiana. Closer to Chicago.
I've visited them twice since Susie, Sia and Kayvon moved there. I'm certainly due for another visit.
Strange thing was, Susie protested the loudest and didn't talk to me for 2 years when I left my ex.
As for Sia, he's like another brother to me.
Things can go wrong, it will. I am sorry, I forgot to mention that...
Her surgery is postponed till the fourth. Her surgeon has a high risk patient to attend to first.
We have to have our vehicles smoged every two years and they charge a lot for that. If it doesn't pass smog restrictions you have to get it running right and pay some more. Over $100 licence tabs on the 2000 truck and $81 on the 1998 van. They use to come down a little each year until the state started going broke and then we all got socked with higher fees.
Physical therapist came today with exercises for Darwin. Has to do them 3 times a day and then ordered a trapeze for more exercises Tall good looking young man, too bad he had a wedding ring on. LOL Catching that "eye candy" from all of you. Darwin walked from the bedroom to the hospital bed without me knowing it. PT doesn't want him to walk alone. Son came home and fixed the TV. Darwin plays with the remote and loses the picture. We have a converter box and of course a small remote that goes with that. I'm just not good about understanding any of these things. Now, if Darwin quits playing with the remotes he will be able to watch his wrestling tonight.
Well Kim and I are back at the lake and exhausted!! It was a nice trip but the older I get, the harder it is doing the drive. Of course, thankfully Kim did all the driving this time but I am still tired.
Had a very nice visit and I do think Sue is much, much better. Still a ways to go but I now can relax more as I see great progress and involvement outside of the house.
Kim has to go to the school tomorrow for a while so I am going with her. While she is working I plan to go across the street and check out the veggie that they have ready for picking. Hope to get some tomatoes canned this year.
Jaye, not quiet sure about the "thunder in the house" but keeping you in my prayers. Hopefully MIL's surgery will go fast and the recovery even faster!!!
Glad to hear your home Marion. Also glad to hear Sue is doing better!
Another safe trip Marion. Glad you are home once again....
AWE! Thanks so much! She is beautiful!
You're welcome
Pegi, discreetly take a picture of the eye candy and post it here. You know, Cookie and Marion will appreciate that!
Darwin's new toy, the remote. Good way of getting your son to visit more often!
That's a pretty LK's Rose Lily, sis. It's a double and has pretty pretty ruffles. Sis , you have not complain of backaches or headaches yet, so repeat whatever you've been doing! A healthy Sis is a happy sis.
Sorry about your roses, LK. Wow, 16 and I complained of my 8 lost to JBeetles.
Here, the cannas are all gone from cutter worms. Gardening is a pleasure, until you get to the weeds and bugs!
Welcome home Marion. Don't forget to douse yourself with anti mosquito spray if you chose to do some yard work today instead of resting more.
What are you up to Barb?
One more day before her surgery. She's fit to be tied, started calling Kel an hour ago, knowing he need his sleep! She wont call me on the land line.
Yes, Marion, me too hope she recovers instantaneously!
hugs to Y'All....
I would turn his phone off when he goes to bed! Our prayers will be with you Jaye! Did you get a new phone to have internet while your there?
Thanks Thunder!
Just ordered one online LK. It will be here by the end of the week I hope LK. I'll make sure to post the number.
It's not the work I dread, it's her mouth!! God be with me, really praying hard that she'd recuperate in ONE day!! Doctor said, she'll likely be on stable feet within two, and Kel doubt that. We'll see. Maybe this is to make her realise all she has is us. Like as if she doesn't know.. no one has come forward to help her.
He doesn't turn his phone off, just in case his mother has an emergency.
Before it was his dad. Is it bad of me to hope for Kel to break his promise to his dad to take care of his mum? Bad me, huh?
Before my Mom passed away, she was always worried what would happen if she passed first, as she did not want Dad going in a nursing home. I always told her I would make sure Dad is taken care of. Well, she passed, and I brought Dad here, only the caregivers know how much it is to take care of your parents when they can't do much for themselves. I am glad I have my Brothers and Sister to help. Well, last year Dad started going down hill with his medical problems, and mobility, so the Dr.'s put him in a home! I took it very hard for a few months, as I promised Mom, but one night I just sat and prayed and talked to Mom, and I know she is fine with our decision. She took care of Dad for 6 years after he had his strokes. Dr. told us he would not live more than 2 years. Here it has been 13 years and he is still with us.
I;m glad it turns out fine for you LK. God is good, He knows when to remove that albatross around your neck. He won't give anything we can't cope.
Your dad will treasure those happy memories you made for him during his stay with you. There's always something planned for him for the weekends.
Your mother, will say you've done a great job for her husband.
I've been praying for her to change. Seems it will be according to her time, for I'm sure she disagrees with God on that!! Lol!!
The night before I dreamt of Murdock having a good time with faces I don't recognise. Must be his brother that got killed in 'Nam and a few friends that went before him.
I told Ida he's in a happy place, wanted to tell her that of course he should be, earth with her was his hell!
Jaye, I AM GLAD MURDOCKS IN A HAPPY FACE. I WILL PRAY FOR YOUR mil.
I'm still here Jaye. Doing some sewing and some knitting. I'm sending prayers for a swift recovery for your MIL.
I wanted to do some fusing and can't find the big roll!! So there goes my plan for an applique quilt, just cut out the figures at MIL's. Looks like it's reading or crochet for me there.
Barb, you truly keep your time well occupied.
Thank you sistahs for the prayers. I don't want to take an extra Xanax in the evenings. And I pray, my mind will stay uniquely mine, not corrupted by her.
You all don't know how much everyone of you here means to me, even the lurkers.. Carole happy June..
If left to my own thoughts with what's surrounding me, my faith in God will certainly be shattered.
No matter how strong you think you are, those words "I'll be praying for you" are the tonic one need to keep going.
I'm praying for you, Jaye. MIL, too. Hope surgery goes well and recovery is speedy!🙏
LK, I'm so sorry for you and your roses. Wish I could help some how!,
Sissy, lovely DL. Did you get it from LK? Was just wondering about the name....
I've been weeding today. I'm following the shade around. Came in to get a bite of lunch. My apple from 8:30 ran out in me!!
Marion, so glad this trip went quickly. Hopefully Sue can do it on her own now.
Oh, Pegi, meant to say, we may be married and old....but we aren't DEAD! Bring on the eye candy!
thank you very much Cookie. A bit at a time will get your humongous garden done, and then do it all over again!!
That's what I've been doing too. Six foot by six foot at a time with a pair of hedge shears. Can't find the charger to the weed eater, and can't wait for the new one to get here.
Say that again Cookie!! More "eye candy" the better.
Hang in there Jaye, please. We need you here with us...besides who would keep me straight and on good behavior if it wasn't for you? Kim has given up on me. :-)
Talked to my GDs this afternoon and Catie-Beth informed me we need a celebration tonight. She is now a 4th grader and Abbi will be going into the 6th. Where in the world did the time go? BTW, CB isn't the least bit shy about informing all of us when we need a celebration!
Brought home some bromeliads from Sues. Need to get them planted and cross my fingers they will grow like the last ones did....that is until this past winter.
Well of to see the Wizard.....................................
Now Marion, tell the truth now. CB doesn't need any excuse for a celebration with you and Kim! She knows she got herself wrapped around your little finger.
That's the only plant I don't have here, bromes.
Gonna take a night cocktail. 4 ibuprofens with a wine chaser!! Weed again, I'm so proud of myself. Now I can see both sides of the pathway from the house to the truck!! Lol!!! Yikes, I don't care for snakes even though I haven't seen one since we hoard cats!
Good night sistahs. Sis Kathy, I'm so sorry about the JB and LK, I'll be on the lookout for roseson sale for you.
Good Morning, time to rise and shine.
Morning, making hummer food to feed those hungry little birds!
Then I'll make the coffee and blackberry muffins
I beez up earlier than normal for me. Of course if the a/c people hadn't been coming to install the new unit I doubt I ..................you fill in the blank!
Like LK (who posted on another thread) I have made food for my hummers, have that cooling and working on getting this massive pile of laundry done. Duh, what can I say? She posted here now. :-0
Ended up not getting together with the girls last night. Not sure what happened but no call telling us what time to meet them. It was okay as Kim and I were both tired from our trip.
