What a beautiful picture Judy!!! Both you and Donovan look so happy!! That's a framer for sure.
Mary, it is Brandon's Dad that is allergic to animal dander not my Norm. Norm and I both go to as many of the events as possible. Now that we are in the new place we get to go to our granddaughters things as well. Our 10 year old has just started learning the sax in school. I think she will do well. Her 6 year old sister is in gymnastics and had her first meet last Friday. I never dreamed they competed at that age!!! I guess she is really good for the short time she has been doing it.
Sharon - so sorry about your kitties. Maybe it may be wise to wait for a bit before getting another. Sounds like you are doing well with your landscaping...That's great.
Betty, I sure hope you and Darlene get to rest up and get rid of all these aches and pains soon. I worry about both of you.....
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends old/new
Judy and Barb .. such great pics of the kids .. enjoy them while they're young !
Sharon, huge hugs for you and your situation .. feel so bad re the cats, and, you are to be commended for supporting your granddaughter .. it can't be easy.
Betty, good grief, you are a motorin woman !! Hope Darlene feels better, is it her back .. has she got insurance ? Stupid question .
Just take care.
Mary, not quite sure what the story is on the 'Fava Bean', just know they are a versatile bean.
Thank you for the LEMON Gelato YUMMY !!! Banana bread turned out A OK .. am about to pop a fresh pumpkin pie in the oven, and then start chopping peppers/chicken, celery and green onions for a FIRST TIME try at slow cooker recipe called 'Orange Chicken' .. sounds so good, and, it is EASY, cept for the chopping ..
Dianne gave me the 'Turkey Pie' recipe, gonna make it this coming week sometime.
I best go roll out the pie dough .. and get s shuffle on .. would like to pitch this cane all the way to the MOON , gawd, I'm forever either MISPLACING it, or, it's on the floor and I am not allowed to bend to pick it up .. yet ...

Whoa, Betty is a speedracer!
Sharon, I'm sorry to hear about your loss, and thrilled to hear about Izzy. Our furbabies are such a part of our lives that all of their joys and sorrows are ours too.
I don't know what the open house is for but in The Silence of The Lambs, Hannibel Lechter ate SOMEONE with fava beans and a nice Chianti. Fava beans in a goody bag would be awesome if your open house is related to Halloween!
Had to Google it, but according to a scicillian culture they are good luck if you carry one with you.
Afternoon or nearly evening
Quickly read, will catch up when wifi connected at Darlene's tomorrow, in the meantime I'm in a billiard room letting you know I've arrived..
Bet you don't feel sorry for me when I say it's 84-calling for high temps and sun all week, picked a good week to be here
Arrived at 1pm unpacked then went grocery shopping,
Now trying to organize ourselves
Darlene "M" had been in a serious accident many years ago, she never stays put but when she does she is in bed for weeks
Sharon, sending hugs, sorry to hear you've lost a furry..
Judy, what a darling child, so glad you got to spend time with Donovan. Are you now home
Lanakila, those are scary movies. Lol. Now I have to research those beans
Anyway, likely you will not. Hear from me till tomorrow
Don't get into trouble in the meantime
Drats just read a message from Sharon
3 puppies didn't make it and one of the 2 left is critical
Can only imagine how she is feeling
So sorry about the puppies. Do they know what happened?
That is a shame Betty. Please let her know we are so sorry.
It can be common with a C-section to loose some... and the "mom" was over do, with a large litter like
that sometimes one is crossways and mom can't push them out.
So sad.
Our temps today were 84. Tomorrow suppose to be 62 with high winds. Think maybe Canada is trying to take over the Southwest.
Yes, I agree. Time to take a breath and wait a while.
So sorry for the new puppies. Our first Schnauzers, thirty + years ago, I decided I would breed them. I got a book, read it and immediately had them spayed and neutered.
I take two walks a day with our current Schnauzers and I talk to Izzy every time. I just tell her to be happy and safe where she is and come home if she can.
I did some gardening today which I usually do not do on Sundays. I have coleus cutting in the small greenhouses in the garage. The frame with zip covers and shelves. When I unzipped the cover today everything inside was toasty and high humidity. Maybe I should put my head in there. No humidity in Nevada.
God bless you all and hugs from me to all of you. Sharon from Nevada.
Morning everyone ^_^
Betty, good to hear you have made it to the South and that you're helping Darlene set up, I sure hope she's feeling better.
My stomach, and heart, just flopped when I read of Sharon's puppy misfortune. If threre is one thing I have I have learned since we got purebred dogs (Westies) is that the birthing process can be a 'crap shoot' .. I was stunned when both breeders told me of good healthy Moms, well cared for etc, pregnant with maybe 4-5 pups, will loose 2-3 .. not always, but it is common .. like Debbie said, depends on positioning in the womb, size yadda yadda .. keeping Sharon and her doggies in my prayers ..
Gonna find me a Fava Bean Linda K ^_^
Sharon, when one of my cats (Poppy) a Himalayan (part) went 'on vacatioin', she was gone for 2 months !! Living in the country we thought all sorts of bad things had happened to her, but, when it got cooer at night (in September), home she came like she had never been away. I pray someone has Izzy and is caring for her.
Busy day ahead, Lorna is dropping me off for coffee with my BFF while she goes to have her prosthetic limb assessed .. dang thing is loosening on her again .. the prosthetist lovves seeing her as Lorna is about the only one of his above knee amps who conscientiously wears and lives with their prosthesis everyday. Yesterday she sanded and stared to repaint all the door frames where one of our cats , long ago, had used it for a scratching post .. lordy, what a difference!! Could NEVER get DH to do that ...
Everyone have a beautiful day !!

Morning, what glorious sunshine
Lasr night we kept saying enough is enough, we would sit then one would come up with a possible plan re furniture placement and up and at it we would go..by. The time we finished I was hurting so badly, took pain meds and didn't even want to get into Jammie's, slept with clothes on
Refreshed this am
Want to gab but Darlene has some things she must take care of and phone/Internet line repairman suppose to be here between 8-5 so hopefully Internet tonight
Sharon is beside herself, every precaution, every test, vet appts are done and now to have this happen!
Tv tomorrow
At least if we've Internet I can watch movies from iPad
Forgot my glasses, having to squint reading so will come back later with glasses to catch up
Just finger typing without reading, here is hoping iPad doesn't say something bad. Lol
Sounds like your getting settled in. Sorry your hurting so bad.
Sit in some of that sun Betty and let it's warmth sooth your aching muscles. Hope you get everything to rights soon so you both can relax a bit.
bETWEEN THE LONG DRIVE, THE FURNITURE MOVING AND WORRY ABOUT sHARON, i CAN WELL IMAGINE THE STRESS HAS SETTLED RIGHT IN YOUR NECK AND SHOULDERS.
OOPS, just saw the caps LoL
Anyway, FLEXERIL would help you immensely Ms Betty, and, sunshine too of course !
Gorgeous fall day here .. might be about 42F and sunny .. Lorna's prosthesis appy went well, and the GABATHON with BFF Jo Jo was great ..
Just about to put dinner in the oven ..
Take care all
~M~
Hubby & granddaughter went to paint at their new place. I suck at painting so stayed here wrangled kids as they came home, did some laundry, and fixed spaghetti & ribs for dinner
Lorna is the painter here, and, a good one I must say.
BUT, I am the wallpaperer, don't mind doing it at all and, usually I chose a a design that is easy to match as we go along ..
Best let the dogs in and feed the deer ..

I love doing wallpaper, it is great therapy. Well, it was before I had shoulder surgery...but I still love doing it.
Sharon hope Izzy comes home soon.... you probably posted but how old is she?
Ribs and Spaghetti sound delish !
So the goody bags will have a tiny ziploc with the fava bean and a little card that says:
Every year the Sicilians honor St. Joseph and implore his continued protection on March 19th, his feast day. The beans commemorate a famine in Sicily and a miraculous intercession by St. Joseph. The dried bean is commonly called the “lucky bean” or beans or prosperity. Legend has it that the person who carries these beans of prosperity will never be without coins.
Also a little pen that changes to a stylus, granola, a cookie, Jordan Almonds(another Italian tradition) and some "goodies" from our suppliers....
I'm trying to think of ONE more item that I can affix our logo to that will appeal to Women 35-64..... Flash Drive? (those are expensive) Nail file? Lint brush? Computer screen cleaner? someone suggested a calendar but I think by 35....we have a calendar.
We are getting SO close.... interviews tomorrow....thanks in part to Moonie/Jean who found our Job Apps for me...
HUGS
Mary
ah yes...... been awhile since I'd seen Moonie's posts....... how is she?
Betty - hope your aches and pains are better?!

debbie one of my dogs is looking like that taking him to vet thursday are you using any home remedy for the itching temporary.
hello all got to get ready for work.
Mary, I am out to get a FAVA BEAN today, several most likely .. what a great story ^_^
Women of the age your speaking of, might like some kind of a 'cosmetic product' .. a neutral lipstick or nail polish ?
Good luck,
Debbie , not sure how my wallpapering skills will be now that I can't BEND that far .. see the surgeon on Nov 27, but, I'm pretty sure I was told it would be 6 mnths before I could do a lot of bending/twisting ..
Won't stop me from looking at paint an wallpaper though !
Hope Betty and darlene are enjoying the weather there while settling in .. only16F here right now,
Heading out to have my nails done (shortened) for 10 .. gosh they grow fast under this acrylic !
Getting difficult to type., but, love the look, so will put up with it ... 'vanity thy name is WOMAN' !! LoL

Quick stop in
Didn't come yesterday re Internet and phones..promise today in meantime am using someone else's service so won't stay long
Soon I'll be chatting up a storm
Waving from I under a palm tree in sunshine
Got to love it
Morning everyone. Liz what kind of truck are you working on? What year?
Waving back at ya Betty.
Mary good luck with the interviews today.
Mary? What about a small bottle of hand sanitizer? Most carry one in their purse and you'd be front and center every time they used it, or moved it around!
Betty, glad you made it okay. I was so sorry to hear about Sharon's dogs. :o( I bet she's thinking about giving it up having had two bad birthings in a row.
linda,
87 chevy stepside now its a fleatwood he put a lowering kit on it i thought it would drop a inch or two????? omg it was slammed to the ground i said good grief kenny were not 16 any more lol
i told him if it stays that low please put airbags in it so i can drive it like a normal truck and not feel like i have to sing all my friends are a low rider.
he did raise it again finally, men and their toys i'll stick to crafting :)
Marilynne, heading out shortly to get my nails done too. I've always had crappy nails. Got the acrylics 11 years ago and haven't looked back. I do keep them fairly short as it's hard to sew with them long. I wear a fairly neutral color too. I did a red red a couple of years ago for Christmas and shocked everyone.
Sure hope the dogs skin gets cleared up soon poor babies that's miserable. Son's lab has skin allergies and the vets have never been able to help him. So far nothing works.
Spaghetti & ribs were enjoyed by all. Granddaughters fiance loved them, said it combined two of his favorites.
I have a friend that was told by her vet to give her dog fish oil capsules every day. She has a tiny fog so just one per day works for her.
Izzy is on fish oil capsules! Thats the strange thing. With the way things go here, thats one
of the allergies, but she had that months ago and why we put her on the fish oil.
The joke is she is allergic to cats. I don't find it funny with all we have. LOL
That's not good if she is allergic to the kitties.
Did not read everything. Hope all are well. Sis & I have arrived safely at Momma's
Justgot connected, having lunch then coming back to read
Our dogs (Westies) are NOT to eat anything with WHEAT in it, not good for Westies. We feed them raw food daily .. raw chicken or Bison along with fresh vegetables .. we spend a couple of hours once a month making and bagging it, but, it's good for them, and, their coats are gorgeous!
Silio .. I can TYPE again LoL .. I used to paint the nails, but, they look so nice just plain jane ..
YAY Betty, good to hear you're 'hooked' up ^_^
Do you fly back on Sunday ?
Joyce, the hand sanitizer is a GREAT idea !!!
Best rattle some pots and pans .. supper to make ..

Evening,
Been shopping off/on all day..just got in, we are too tired to even cook pasta for spaghetti sauce I made yesterday..tomorrow for sure!
Spent 3 hrs at Joann's, got fabric for Caleb and Braedon's quilt..will be using up their hockey jersey's and a few photo's...who would have thought that in Florida I would find fabric with skates, hockey stick and puck, thrilled with that buy..bought fabric to work on Joyce's Christmas tree skirt, another film at 5 quilt and stock
Wasn't going to bring a suitcase home but now I must.
Tomorrow I will get to the beach
Week will go by quickly..Friday is the flea market a d quilt shop north of the flea market
Saturday, dinner with the girls here that we met last year
So. Busy/busy
thunder, how is your mom, had she been hiding something from you and your sister? Sending prayers
Debbie, Lordy what will you do?? Poor Izzy, can't board the cats out for sure..you are allergic as well and kitties still in the house..drats
Liz,Liz..you know my Kenny is as good as being 16..let the boy have fun! Ohh can't wait for photo's! How is work going? Missed you girl
Joyce that is a great idea..smarty
Got to wonder about Sharon's dogs..she doesn't overbreeding and this is a different dog..sure she is overwhelmed..going to her house Sunday so will get the lowdown.
Karen, has the nails years ago as well..now, I'm working with glass/craft,wood,sanding..they wouldn't last
"m" Debbie, love wallpaper, makes it so homey..time I redo living room but everything out there is so modern. Debbie can you let me know where in buffalo I can go look at wallpaper..would be nice buying the necessary rolls Nov22 when I'm there for the weekend
Oops, Darlene has sandwiches for me
Betty, there is a hockey team in the area with a huge following......Everblades. Not surprising you found the hockey fabric at that Joannes.
Don't have to much fun....:LOL.
Mary - how did the interviews go?
Betty - glad you're enjoying the sunshine!
Thunder - enjoy your time with your momma!
I talked to mine today.... she's getting a little mixed up on things..... wrong person attributed with having a stroke, etc.......
Hello To All
They say it is so easy to sell a Salesperson... so I'm ready to hire everyone we talked to today...even the poor boy who could hardly put a sentence together....
I'm ready to make an offer to almost everyone I talked to today... we had many entry level folks that arrived.
We had about 3 who were highly skilled and I don't think I can afford them. I will hope that one will accept a lower offer. 2 stood out to possibly accept what we have.
BUT we are a mere coffee shop and these guys are coming from HUGE culinary kitchens. Joyce Hand Sanitizer is a WONDERFUL suggestion. I had a vendor from AutoChlor (dishwashers) agree to provide those.... but it is again a great idea and we will have them from those guys.
(HUGS) Marilyn... on the Fava Bean... we are working on stuffing those into ziploc bags from Hobby Lobby
Hope all are doing well.... LK, Katie, Marion, Debbie, Judy, Susan, Dianne, Barb, Thea, Thunder, BETTY and those I've missed but still love so much just brain dead right now...
HUGS
Mary
betty, glad your relaxing and enjoying yourself.
work is horrible, my mgr is out on maternity leave,
so im the acting mgr one of the girls opened the store 19 minutes late.
this is the second same offence in 30 days i have to let her go on tuesday makes me sick she is a great employee.
lol at you and the suitcase
waving at everyone have a good day
Moring all
Been laying here, window facing daybreak, rising towards ocean and what a glorious view!
Then my mind goes to Rita who asked yesterday if she should unplug the pumps in the pond, light skim of ice on them and think just how pretty it is when all covered in snow!!
Lindakay, when I spent winters down in Bonita springs just miles from here we went to several major hockey games, was just surprised because I never see it in buffalo or Canada
Have the design going in my head.
Susan, glad you are able to gab with mom even though she is mixed up..used to roll with the conversation with my grandma as it would serve no purpose to correct her, only make her more conffused
Goodness Mary you are up on all, likely the young man who had difficulties expressing himself will be the best of them all..maybe those with experience in the industry are just tired of the stress in the industry and want something low key. Did lance sit in? How many will you need to cover the shifts..guess there will be a week or so of training?
"M" any more news on helping out with the pooch?
Guess today I will book my flight home
Sit st the beach for awhile
Finish a little project that I'm including in craft box
Going up to office mail sort, LindaKay sent me a swap box and it should be there, anxious to see what treasures she sent from her region
