Happy birthday Crissy...hope it was special in every way
LindaKay, love the pattern
Made it home, off to bed
Just popping in.... driving so far alone was weary but so glad I went to DSD's confirmation.
Marilyn... after having had whooping cough... one of my huge fears was coughing during the service so it was funny to me that you mentioned it. Don't you know I made it through the ceremony then had a bad coughing fit when DSD was showing me her rent house !
LK those quilts are just gorgeous !
Marilyn how do you do the roast? I've always tried to duplicate Mom's which was always my favorite for special meals... (graduations, etc) She said to get a "rolled rib roast wrapped with fat and tied with string".
Can't find a butcher anywhere who understands that....
Happy Birthday Crissy !
Betty how was the flight ?
Hugs
Mary
A quick check in. I am totally exhausted.
Betty, making everything from snowman head that is 5 foot, to signs, tool boxes, ornaments, you name it!!!
Paul even came over today to help for a bit with some sanding. I will probably be working the show with her....she is short handed. Depends on my schedule and all and who shows up to help her. Her kids who normall help, are both in college full time. Ugh!!!
My hands, back, neck...feet....OK, my eyebrows don't hurt...but everything else does!!!
I miss you all. BUT going to be like this til next week and the show is over.
Betty, this is the huge one that is 3 buildings full, not just the main room.
Heading to bed.
Morning everyone. Betty are you still sleeping?
Bet it is hard to leave sunny Florida to go back to the cold Canada?
Just wait Debbie! I hate to tell you but the eyebrows will hurt. The life on the craft show circuit is not an easy one.All the public sees is the excitement surrounding the actual show setting. The setting up and tearing down plus the 10 hours days take their toll plus the hours and hours getting ready so you have something to sell.
Glad you are home safe and sound Betty.
Morning
Go0d heavens Debbie, that's quite the lot of stuff!! My eyebrows ache lookin at it all ..
Good luck over the next few days
Belated HBirthday Crissy ^_^
Mary, glad the drive to the confirmation was OK, and, that the 'cough' hung back ..sounds like a good day.
I cook my prime rib dredged in a package of onion soup mix, the bag I shook the roast in to coat it I fill with about 2 cups of water once the roat is in the pan, cleans up all the dried soup in the bag, then, carefully pour it into the roaster .. put in a 450 oven for 15 minutes (this sears the meat) then down to 350 for as long as is required .. delish !!
DH is up, off to coffee with his brother, Lorna is stirring, waiting on a call to pick up her (new to her) truck, hope that all goes well .. will post some pics .
Off to have a cuppa

Dianne, these shows will run 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 pm on Thursday and Friday and then 9:00 to 6:00 on Saturday and Sunday.
AND....I found out last night, and so did she, that she has another show NEXT weekend she paid to do. There will be nothing left after this one if it sells well. SO monday will we be back at it bright and early with no down time.
The joke with DH & I was me getting my hair and eyebrows done on Friday morning. That hot
was doing my eyebrows and the "rip" of the tape...ouch. Two days they hurt. So when I came home last night...he asked how I was feeling. I said right now the eyebrows are the only thing that does NOT hurt.
I have to get dressed and head back over. Going to be a VERY long day.
OOOOOOOOoooooo .. welcome back to 'dreary' Betty, it's raining here .. and, cooler !!
~M~
Debbie when I used to do One of a Kind it was 12 hour days for 11 days and then I would have 2 days off to travel to Ottawa to start all over again for 10 days. Often we got home Dec 23 and I would fall in the door ready to kiss the floor. Don't miss those days at all. Remember to pace yourself and take breaks when you need them or the long haul can be brutal. What a great friend you are Debbie but we already knew that.
Sunny but cold here.Just like I Love it. M you keep that rain there please!!
Morning
-5 here this morning but it's ok, I've settled things in my mind, don't mind being here at all lol
Debbie I so wish I was there to help out..saw those snowmen, they are fun items
omg she has left it late to get everything done hasn't she or is that the fun in it?? I have some real easy projects that I bought and redid in my own way on rough cut wood, they sparkle of course, don't all my pieces that I'd gladly share with her..they were great sale items..let me know and maybe one time you both can come on a weekend and see them and get a mock piece..
thank you for sharing..always ice seeing what Santa's elves are doing
Love the workshop, wish mine was a tad bigger but then I make a big enough mess without having larger area to clean...
my mess starts this weekend, want all the DG 7th Annual workshop kits done and packaged
ordered wood so step 1 is done, step 2 gathering what I need to include is coming along well
wow, not sure where the girls will sit when I head over to Buffalo on the 22nd..between my SantaWarren box and all the kits where oh where will they sit?
"M" can see Lorna smilling from here..excited for her..hope it's all she wants it to be!
Mouth watering at your roast, will have to give it a try.
Mary, bet you are feeling good about going to the confirmation..how is FIL doing, any improvement at all..
ohhh got to hold Sharon's little puppy, his eyes were not even open yet..Sharon put mom outside as mommy wasn't thrilled I was checking her babe out.
Was nice getting home last night to someone in the house..Rita had lot to tell me about, she looked at a few houses but either out of her price range or so dirty she wouldn't even go inside..told her about my trip then it was bedtime.
She was up earlier than usual this morning, I asked if I woke her up but she said likely the time change, her normal time up is 7:30 at 6:30 her body said up and at it.
LindaKay, took photo's of the goodies I got from you in the 'from your neck of the woods'
just organizing myself, looking after calls then will go and post
Would make me feel odd too Betty .. I still have ONE of Murraysthat I kept, think it's time to pass if on to Austin ..
Can imagine the quilt will be beautiful.
Dianne, the rain we have is the 'stop n go' kind .. when it's going, it's cold and brutal, which is why I like the frequent STOPS ..
Lorna will pick up her truck tomorrow .. the dealership is paying extra attention to removing ( or trying to) the smoke odour. .. she's not really feeling that badly as there's no rush on it.
AND, a fella called this morning re her car .. and, yet again, the DISTANCE monster reared it's head .. for cripes sake, it is ONLY 10 miles from the Expressway .. 15 minutes and you're here.
Said he'd call back .. we'll see.
Got a recipe on FBook for biscuits, just have to check and see if I have Bisquick arounf, if not, banana loaf time ..
Do you think it's time for a new thread ?
