Went to Grand Ole Opry,got our tickets for tomorrow night and for the backstage tour..booked 2 nights here, much to do to or row..

Girls made me go to the pharmacy, he said I needed to be going to hospital, I texted, I should have antibiotic. Lol here, Linda said if I didn't then I wouldn't make it back to Canada..look terrible with 5" x 3" ban aid across my forehead covered with salve...only way I can cope with burning and itching..Linda had antibiotics so I'm taking hers, no time for doctors..I know, I. Know, you are all shaking your heads but not spending 6 hours in hospital, am sure it will look ok for when we meet up with you Crissy..

Girls want to go eat and hear country music..late so if I don't get back to you all, I'll gab with you in the a.m.

Dianne you are SO right... having the kids in the other car made the trip SO much easier for me... Hubs & I talked most the way... never really turned on the radio.... Crissy .... "Happy Birthday" to Dave ! Hope ya'll had a nice night out to dinner or some fun....

Well today slept in... then breakfast at condo and walk on the beach with hubby. Sea shells are so hard to find this year... discussed wondering if oil spill had to do with that? or could be other factors? I found a nice piece of driftwood that Hubby and most of you crafty folks would find something nice to make into....pic later.....
Deb... don't fuss at me... I used some sunscreen but it had a "User Error" so I do have a bit of burn but I'm not complaining. The water is unusually cold... like Baton Rouge, the area is having record cold temps. I don't ever remember *not* being able to get in the Gulf in May.... but was able to get in up to knees. We did the seafood/raw oyster thing then tourist shops then dinner at DSis's...
Kids got a little inch of freedom with the driving down so DSD1 is now trying to take a mile... but we got through that obstacle as best as possible. More Beach tomorrow...then dinner at DSD's FIL/MIL. The wedding parties are arriving for next week however we need to go back for 3 days. Hubs & I Have work and youngest DSD has school.

Morning all, late when we got in last night, took me about a second to fall asleep.

It will be in high 80's today, perfect day for sightseeing. Should be ready to start our day by 9:00, no rushing today, but lots to cover.

Going to Gaylord Opryland hotel for breakfast..Debbie, I'll be sure to pick more seeds on your behalf!! Remembering our picking seeds together as we walked the gardens

Then downtown for a tour and do music row..

This morning the what I think are infected bites have now turned black, not sure if that is a good sign or bad sign? Made a different plan with covering it, don't want sun to do more damage..just don't look pretty..it's ok, nobody knows me here! Lol

Mary, glad you are enjoying your tiime with family, hope you are taking mega photo's...you'll have to have the kids travel together more often giving you and hubby more precious time together.

I am Ok Betty, just very sore. Decided to cut back on my vicodin (I get ditzier than usual) and didn't sleep with my sling on...big mistake. SO, back up to full dose and slowing down again.

We have some sunshine here.....and I have coffee.

Betty, please get that forehead looked at. You do not need something "hatching" from that....trust me, I have seen it!!!! You can end up with a cream....or an admit.....if you don't listen!

MARY!!! be careful with the sun....you don't want to have to get treatment down the road for that. I just had a small "patch" burned off my face, and that was NOT fun!

Remember the camera Betty....so excited to see more pictures. That place just made me so happy.

ROFLOL, notice his buttonier? We always get a veterans poppy, got it yesterday so Breenie thought it would be funny to give it to him for prom!

Anyway, They felt really bad she didn't get him a buttonier, They were saying how he'll be the only boy with out one, I said you want me to make him one real quick? Breenie, was cheering yeah, I went in to make him one... good thing I had a red rose from the bouquets!

I don't know why I don't have a group shot...think they did that while I was making his Buttoneir.

Wow, i think Dad got all misty eyed at how grown up and gorgeous his baby girl was! He was really proud. took photo's with his phone and sent it to all his buddies! Ohh, Alissa went and picked up Grandma so she can see too...Bummer Julia had to go to work so..But she got to see Breeine before she left.

And then they were off!!

The Girls made Ryan put the top of the Mustang up!! LOL.
The mustang is Ryan's mom's car...Think he begged her to use it.

Betty I've done Graceland 4 times and I don't want to spend the money to see it again, I have pics from all 4 times too, funny thing, nothing ever changes LOL! I just did it a couple of years ago when I took Dave through it.

Betty sounds like you and the girls are having a ball!! I'd go back to another pharmacy and see what that pharmacist says about it. Debbie's right, something could hatch and eat your skin from the inside, or poison from the bite could also rot your skin on the inside creating extremely high chances of staph infection, which is deadly. Emergency rooms are almost always slow in the mornings, say around 8am and get busier as the day gets later.

Judy how fun!!! They are all such good looking kids, everyone should be very very proud!!

Judy, I love the pictures....baby girl looks great and so grown up!!! The kids all look so very nice, and the jacket turned out really well also. You have the gifted touch.

Shanes prom is June 10th....just informed me he is getting a deep purple vest and such for the tux....and might do his hair to match. Have mercy, why does he do this? His answer? Because I can!!!
His girlfriend had a choice from her parents.....you can go to the Prom...or you can go see Wicked with him....not both. She chose WIcked. SO, now DH has no date for Prom. Elisabeth is only in 10th grade...so her parents doing really let her date.....I can't say a word, I waas the same way with my girls!!! And at least they had "Wicked" from broadway play.

Betty, some pharmacies....like Walgreens....has a walkin clinic.....ask at the hotel....they may know.

Judy So many beautiful kids that will have great memories........I miss those days !

My grandson Brandon is at a prom tonight. One of his good friends was to go and her boyfriend dumped her two weeks ago. So Brandon offered to be her date. They looked so nice. He towers over her and she is a senior and Brandon is only a freshman!!!! But she is thrilled to be going to her Prom. I had to chuckle as Dad took Brandon out for a 2 hour ride and they had "the talk"!!!!! Hope to get some pictures!!

Judy - I think I AM MISTY eyed as well... she is simply gorgeous... love that dimpled smile and she def has your eyes... I do see you in her a LOT... Yes the jacket is fabulous...
Laura - well there are shells... just not near the shells there usually are... and no large ones... "back in the day" when we moved here... I was 11 and when we visited this beach I'd go home with 10-15 Sanddollars.

Nowadays... we search and search and maybe find One,... this trip none. Don't know why.

Betty - please listen to Deb/Crissy - you might be able to get something called in quickly and be on your way. I'm so so glad you are all having so much fun. I suppose you meet up with Crissy day after tomorrow ?

Our trip has been great but we've had a few stumbles today. Right in time to go home.... right ! Good thing.

We'll head back Thursday for Sarah's wedding but hopefully by then the attitudes will be checked.

LOL Betty!! I can't wait to hear the stories!!! Be careful driving in the rain, we got some severe thunderstorms that came over at 5am this morning that was very unnecessary, I haven't had a complete nights sleep in 3 days because of this weather!! The tornado chances here in central AR are 30-40%, Eastern AR and Memphis and all of TN has a less than 20% chance of tornadoes today so I'm happy to get out of here! I'm going to leave the house at noon and it's about a 3 - 3 1/2 hour drive, depending upon the weather and traffic.

You just reminded me to take my camera!! Thank you!!

Crissy...travel safe, and give Betty a good going over. I know you will drag her to an ER if she needs it! lol Take her to St. Judes if you have too!!!! Are you going back to our rib place for dinner???

I want to take them someplace a little nicer, maybe Rum Boogie, I like it there and they have cajun food as well as the Memphis BBQ, and it's very very good. BB King's is very good too but the price is way high and the portions are small. I'm updating my GPS maps, hope it doesn't take very long, I leave in 30 minutes, and it's been storming all day, all severe, coming up I-30 and shooting straight over I-40 into Memphis. I don't mind the rain but ug. And I keep trying to forget my camera!

Back from Beall Street,am sure Crissy will tell you how crazy the girls are, not I, shaking my head! Ok, so I did get on stage at karaoke and dance with a lot of young men, Crissy made me do it!

So now we are back at the hotel, think all are a bit tired ..you know how when children are so very tired they get giddy..well that's what is going on!

Mary, glad you are home safely, lucky you, you get to do it all over again in a few weeks..

Debbie, That arm will be pretty useless for a while yet. I was so surprised how long it took me to be able to use mine but in the end it is just like new. Keep up with the PT it will be hard but very worth it.

I have been so very busy with the gardens, job and family. I have been having trouble keeping up with all the posts. Sorry to say that I most probably not be posting much over the next few months. Oh no Linda, Not problems, all is good just very busy. Having trouble keeping up with all the threads and I have cut back on my posting. Not that you all aren't very busy, too. So much going on in all of your lives.

Morning, watching weather, not the greatest is it. Crissy has been busy making sure her dad is ok, he lives in outskirts of Joplin where the tornado hit..finally was able to make contact and all o.k.

Girls are out swimming in guitar pool, we'll get ready , have breakfast and start out way home..changed our schedule due to storms.

Holly, life /gardens/work can get in the way..no need to catch up or post on all, a simple hi letting us know you are ok is fine

Looking at flood/fire/tornado photo's....do hope you and family members are all ok

Crissy, you'll probably get home before I'm out od Graceland compound, girls are shopping the boutiques again, drats hard to get them to realize we're 1000 miles from home and when I said they could have an easier day of it, it didn't mean shopping for hours...think they think that because we aren't going to st.louis it means an extra day of fun, not, we were to be almost to st. Louis by now, thus a good few hundred miles in..tomorrow will be a long/long day!

Hmmm know that Crissy was fretting about her dad and not sure with turmoil if she would have to go to Joplin to pick family up and bring them home while hydro was out..so devastating!
