Been busy here with cleaning house now that the rain has stopped. It is still grey and dismal but at least the water works have stopped for a while. I've been running out every not and then draining the potted plants on my deck. Hope they aren't water logged suffer from root rot...

I'm fine everyone! I'm at work today, just didn't feel like coming on line last night, was watching movies with Dave. ARGH!!! Dave uses his toothbrush head on that brush too and is going to have a royal fit when he finds out I left it, and worse when I tell him it went to Canada!! LOL!!!!! Those cost $70.

Can you throw it in the mail before you cross over to the Canadian side??? I'll pay you back for postage, I'd rather pay you back then the hotel!

Ok, back to reality here, whew the only thing bad about taking days off is doing the catch up afterwards.

My dad has power, just no tv or internet, some places that have Wifi are still standing but almost all of the shopping stores were hit and are now flattened, including walmart, so I have no idea where they're going to go shopping. They can drive down here if they need to.

She's my only sis... and those are my only "blood" niece & nephew.... so Yes - LK - can't believe she's not tearing her hair out....

I over did it today. Got my stitches out yesterday and did some PT. So when I was "attempting" to wash my hair in the shower....had a complete melt down as...DANG it hurt! SO, called my favorite hair dresser.....and spent a couple hours with him. Another bad mistake!

Ended up getting about 8 to 10 inches cut off my hair...its now just above my shoulders....and he colored it. Well, the color was supposed to be MUCH lighter than it is...and it is defiantely darker with lots of red. It was supposed to be a light carmel color. He said it will fade in a few washes...but I am not sure. lol
At least it doesnt need heavy brushing and styling. My son is NOT happy about it at all.

Well, I need to get to bed.....just finishing up icing my arm...and falling asleep here.

They had to be home by Tuesday night, bad weather or not. They decided to not go up to St. Louis and head back to Nashville and up that way because of the bad weather.

Betty's forehead is a strange situation LOL It's not near as swollen as it was, but the swelling is draining down into her left eyelid and under her eye, and there are three black spots that look like rotting flesh from poison under the skin. I'm worried sick about that, it could turn into gangrene so fast it's unreal, and if an infection is in her blood stream from it... Yeah I'm worried sick.

Oh no Debbie!!! I'm sure it's way cute, but if it's not what you wanted, well that's just bad. Did you complain about it to him, say you didn't like it? I'm always afraid to say it because fixing it could be worse than the original screw up. I'm so sorry!!!

I'm going to bed too. Just wanted to let you know that my mom's town of 4495 people, Newcastle OK was hit by what looks like an EF3 tornado this evening, she's fine but the town is pretty tore up I guess. My dad's massive tornado in Joplin was rated an EF5 with winds over 200mph by NOAA and they dodged another tornado just a few minutes ago. Iye yey yey PLEASE Stop The Madness!!!!

Well - Deb... I suppose we need a pic to know.... I know whenever I've changed my hair to any degree....DS never likes it... they never want "momma" to change.

Will never forget visiting my Mom when he was 3.... took the opportunity to do a highlight (cap) and a BLUE face mask at the same time. I came out from the bathroom and he screamed and started crying ! LOL.....

So I suppose on the positive side... it's probably fine.... I'm so glad you opted to get it done ..... I always see you taking care of everyone else....so nice to see you take time for DEB!

Funny - I've never had a vacation like this (two days plus a weekend... then work 3 days then same) but I've really never felt so relaxed..... I hope this feeling continues... I need to be at work at 8:30a tomorrow and you see how late I'm up....

But I'm really hyper now... somewhat packing to go back... texting folks to get takers on the tomatoes in the garden.... etc....have a LOT to do tomorrow but I'm so excited to leave for niece's wedding.....

Re: Betty's bite.... they have a spider around here called a brown recluse.... It supposed eats away at the skin... it's bad...and requires hospitalization... I wonder if something like that got a hold of her....

Oh Crissy you must be having your heart in your mouth several times a day as these storms pass through. So glad that both your DM and DD were spared any major damage both to themselves and their properties.
Good news for my DH, I whined and sniveled and lo and behold they found an empty slot for a MRI on June 7. Whooo hooo, the sooner this is done the sooner we can find out what is exactly wrong and what is the line of attack that needs to be taken.This pain is wearing him down and I know it is the pain talking not him but man oh man I have been biting my tongue lots.
Betty have you done anything about your bites? My black fly bites do exactly what you are describing and it often lasts 2 - 3 weeks.

I found out that my nephew that lives in Mississippi is coming to New England in July. I'm trying or organize a backyard bash so all the cousins can get together with him. I have seen him but some of these kids haven't seen each other since Norm and I got married 26 years ago. It's hard when everyone ends up scattered everywhere.

Judy, I think I may have misplaced you phone number. I was going to call and see how your trip plans are coming....Call me if you can...

Its not that I don't like the haircut...I don't like the color. I wanted it more "summerish" but....my hair just "pulls" color in deep. In the wintertime...I would have loved this. I don't know about a picture, I will see what I can do.

I am so cranky and miserable this morning, felt so bad I couldn't go with Shane to the college and DH isn't always thinking of what needs to be done. Knowing I am not up to par and realizing it myself the wise thing to say NO...is not any easier.

Morning, might take me a bit to get myself organized and respond to all the posts..

Will start with saying all for about 10 minutes of torrential rain we had sunshine pretty well the entire trip, was great weather!

Crissy feel terrible for your mom and dad, even if not hard hit themselves just seeing the devastation within their communities must be terrible...you certainly were a trooper, trying to deal with the calls coming in and entertaining the three of us..it certainly was much appreciated by all!!!
Drats I'm not with it at times, got all the way back to Canada and this morning seeing the electric toothbrush I'm thinking, why didn't I mail it from somewhere in the states so will get it mailed at lunch or in the morning..

Missing Shirley as well, so enjoyed her posts..am with the rest of you, understand she needs time and hopefully she'll come back to us here, here DG family...in the meantime, sending prayers..

There was a message on my recorder last night from Ann wanting to know if I wanted to play T.V. bingo..wish I had been home earlier to do so. Called her this morning, girls are gone back to the city as of Monday, she was getting ready to go to exercise, told her I'd drop in tonight after work..also told her I received a call from Darlene early this a.m. saying that Monday she and Mike her hubby had been over and changed all the lighting in the craft room and family room, did measurements for back entrance stairway..Mike made the staircase and he and Darlene will spend the next day or 2 at my house installing it..thought she might like to visit with Darlene for awhile, each hour she fills in will help..she loves her gardening and as she hasn't been out in it yet this spring other than a few hours last week to plant bulbs she received from an order placed in the winter nothing has been done so hopefully she'll get today in..


Not sure what day a call came in looking for 3 rooms for 4 days starting on the 30th. if it was over the weekend I'm sure they found alternate accommodations, called, left a message so see what happens there! Would be nice, would pay for all the hanging basket I need lol

As for my head, yikes when I got in this morning a client had been sending e-mails about a brown recluse spider that is creating quite a problem..NOT saying that's what I have, shaking my head no but should go get some antibiotics seeing as it's red/black and burning like crazy..called our health after hours clinic, full today, call my doctors' office..off on Wednesdays so we'll see what comes of the day

Betty, do you remember me telling you about Paul almost loosing his arm? He was out of work 3 weeks and VERY ill. That was a brown recluse...and YES, they are VERY dangerous. They hide in wood, dark places...so you out cleaning in the gardens would definately be a trigger to upset a nest. This is worth a trip to the ER.

Debbie, you just have to post photo's of your new 'do'..bet you look pretty..we did not eat at same restaurant, got to eat ribs at another restaurant down the street...omg Debbie you should have been with us..what a street at night, even for a Sunday it was swinging..did some dancing, oh in one of the bars there was 3 young men and their girlfriends, men were singing some really hip songs at karaoke, girlfriends were dancing, crowd enjoying...of course the girls I travel know me, they know I talk to anyone and participate in anything, got on stage and joined their group..too funny...think Crissy was having a 'fit' but that's me, I have a good sense of judgement when it comes to people, most, no ALL are accepting and know my kabitzing is in fun and enjoy it just as much as I..if I got hurt or worse while doing so, then so be it, would rather be trusting in people than not...all and all our experience was amazing in Beall..would be back and spend more time in a flash...even had a drink..

Really don't know what it was ..I'm saying a bite only because you could see 3 marks, not sure what else it could have possibly been?

Betty, I have been told by my lawyer, I can't prove the door was faulty, so I can't take them to court! At least I am not any money, as I have medicare and mail handlers that covered all the bills... I tried.

Mary all spiders are poisonous, but about 50% don't have strong enough fangs to break through human skin. A Daddy Long Legs is one of the most poisonous spiders around (between a black widow and recluse) but their fangs are weak and can't bite us.

Betty, that could very easily turn to gangrene.

You should have left the toothbrush at the hotel, they would have sent it to me and you wouldn't have had to worry about it.

Thanks about the kids...they are doing good, had a great time. Would you believe the stalker was there?!? She got in by helping out, Then flipped the kids the finger, Ha, they told the Dean and she was asked to leave...That girl needs some serious help, None of them are suppose to speak in anyway, shape or form, yet she keeps at it, thankfully my "kids" just ignore her attempts, not easy...
But they did have a real nice evening.

Lets see, Betty, Went to a meeting for the kids on Monday...Breenie Will graduate as long as she gets to every class on time. She has been working really hard at Bringing up English grad, thats the only one that will hold her back. But the teacher was pretty confident that she will do ok, as long as she passes the final. OMG, grant me some serious patients, two weeks left to wait!

So, I am going bonkers trying to finish things up! Have 2 corasages done, 2 to go and 6 buttoniers, lol only one of those finished... Must have everything finished by tomorrow, when I pack everything up!

Afternoon all, well "Mike" a construction worker was looking for 3 rooms for 5 days and use of back yard for relaxation and b.b.q.'ing..I'm not home but Cathy will run over for me to let him in and see the place..not sure my quaint little country place is what 3 manly men are looking for but why not give it a chance..only 1 week..I will sleep downstairs on portable bed in my craft room..
