Just got home from emerge ..said I had a very bad reaction to a bite, no telling what it was..gave me meds to take 4 times a day and if it doesn't look as though the redness is going away to make sure after 3 days I'm to return..says I don't want infection in sinus or eye cavities..nice enough old gent

Got lovely new staircase coming in bac entrance, Mike made them strong enough that it shall last a lifetime! Excited as can be..

The other Mike who called about the rooms dropped in to see the place, because I was in emerge Cathy came over to let him in..apparently one of the workers coming in from Calgary might not make it so might be 2..told Cathy he'd call me tomorrow so we'll see

Judy - very pretty flowers... did a 'double take' because I thought they are real? Can't really tell they are gorgeous ! Thank goodness your kids did the right thing and told dean re: stalker... really scary that that is still a problem ! LOVE your iris...
and Yes (sigh) niece and her fiance are very young... 21 and 23... however they both seem to have a good head on their shoulders. Niece graduated HS very high and is now almost finished with college and DS in Air Force a language translator. Wish I had (would) have kids as well mannered and motivated ...so we will see how it goes. Niece Sarah has always been my Heart.....
Crissy - THANK You for fussing at BEtty... glad you, Deb, Susan etc. got the results and she went ! Remember Daddy long legs from living in CA. Never seen them since. We used to let them crawl on us as kids... and remember hearing how poisonous they were....

Good Morning All!
I don't want anyone to fall down seeing that I'm still alive. I took SIL to the airport last night and he flew home for awhile. He will come back out later to help out somemore. It will be good for me to have this time alone and get use to not having Tubby here in person. I know I miss him dearly, but time will help heal and with good friends and God and family I will make it.
I only skimmed through the latest post. Hope everyone is doing well and wish you all the best.
My SIL helped me out with alot of things and still have alot to do. I am going to change the flower garden across from the house to a memory garden in honor of Tubby. I have alot of work to get done one it and will take pics when I'm done.
We have so much water around us from all the rain and storms and that's nothing compared to some of the terrible things that have happened to other people. We are blessed and my heart and prayers go out to them all.
Glad to hear you are having a good time on your trip Betty, but I hope and pray that your head is okay. Love to you all and will check back in later. Have a wonderful week end everyone and take care.

Before I post, thought I'd include the following

I want to thank all of you for your educational e-mails over the past year. I am totally screwed up now and have little chance of recovery!

I no longer open a bathroom door without using a paper towel, or have the waitress put lemon slices in my ice water without worrying about the bacteria on the lemon peel.

I can't use the remote in a hotel room because I don't know what the last person was doing while flipping through the adult movie channels.

I can't sit down on the hotel bedspread because I can only imagine what has happened on it since it was last washed.

I have trouble shaking hands with someone who has been driving because the number one pastime while driving alone is picking one's nose.

Eating a little snack sends me on a guilt trip because I can only imagine how many gallons of trans fats I have consumed over the years.

I can't touch any woman's purse for fear she has placed it on the floor of a public restroom.

I MUST SEND MY SPECIAL THANKS to whoever sent me the one about rat poo in the glue on envelopes because I now have to use a wet sponge with every envelope that needs sealing.

ALSO, now I have to scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason.

I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl (Penny Brown) who is about to die for the 1,387,258th time.

I no longer have any money, but that will change once I receive the £15,000 that Bill Gates/Microsoft and AOL are sending me for participating in their special e-mail program.

I no longer worry about my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out for me, and St. Theresa's Novena has granted my every wish.

I can't have a drink in a bar because I'll wake up in a bathtub full of ice with my kidneys gone.

I can't eat at KFC because their chickens are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes, feet or feathers.

I can't use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day.

THANKS TO YOU I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.

BECAUSE OF YOUR CONCERN, I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove toilet stains.

I no longer buy petrol without taking someone along to watch the car so a serial killer doesn't crawl in my back seat when I'm filling up.


I no longer use Cling Wrap in the microwave because it causes seven different types of cancer.

AND THANKS FOR LETTING ME KNOW I can't boil a cup of water in the microwave anymore because it will blow up in my face. Disfiguring me for life.

I no longer go to the movies because I could be pricked with a needle infected with AIDS when I sit down.

I no longer go to shopping malls because someone will drug me with a perfume sample and rob me.

And I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number for which I will get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica , Uganda , Singapore , and Uzbekistan ..

I no longer buy cookies from Girl Guides since I now have their recipe.

THANKS TO YOU I can't use anyone's toilet but mine because a big black snake could be lurking under the seat and cause me instant death when it bites my butt.

AND THANKS TO YOUR GREAT ADVICE I can't ever pick up a coin dropped in the parking lot because it probably was placed there by a sex molester waiting to grab me as I bend over.


I can't do any gardening because I'm afraid I'll get bitten by the Violin Spider and my hand will fall off.

Suzanne was at a meeting so at lunch I went to the Garden Gallery rather than go for a sit down meal I spend my $$$ on shrubs.... two are variegated (almost look like pink flowers rather than leaves) then 1 that I've not seen before, almost like tall grasses with spikes of mini yellow flowers..very interesting....will take photo

This year, the only plants/shrubs (other than the Church plant sale Saturday which is a fund-raising event) I'll only purchase what I do not already have..

LOL yes my eyes are fine.

I always say, "I'm not going to purchase what I already have" and it never works out, I end up purchasing everything I don't have and most that I do have, then I get it all home and ask myself what in the world am I going to do with all of this??? LOL

Dropped in and had a lovely visit with Ann...too bad it was raining because she had so many rocks she dug out of her gardens and if I'm going to make a secondary pond I'll need them to hold down the liner!

Will pick some up each time I visit. Lol

Got home and Cathy had dropped in, omg and double omg she made lilac bouquets for most of the rooms..spoilt gal I am..have to take her out for supper this weekend.

Still haven't met up with her since my trip, for looking after the furies I bought her the loveliest ring at Gaylord Hotel in Nashville and a bracelet..am sure she will love them..must take a photo of the ring.. Fits me perfect, should I keep it?

Scotty out of the hospital today and into the nursing home having his fits because he can't have his own way about some things. I have a lot of adjusting to do myself. I have never been my own boss in my 67 yrs. I don't know what to do with freedom. HUGS BEV

Bev, hugs coming your way! Girls are right, you will get a sense of who you are as a person and will enjoy some time for YOU! Scotty will have the health care he needs so don't worry about feeling guilty that he is not at home with you..would not have been long you would have needed to be hospitalized. Is the home in a nearby town that you can easily drop in? Am sure you are sleeping much better since you are no longer on 24/7 listening incase Scotty needed you!

Betty - you aren't talking about your visit to emerg much - are the meds working well?

Today I went to the hospital (work sent me in an ambulance) because of some chest pains/pressure, and they ruled out diabetes, cholesterol, and blood pressure.
I didn’t have a heart attack or stroke, but they couldn’t rule out an angina attack so they sent me home with a bottle of nitro spray. It might also have just been heartburn.
I’ll get a call from the Acute Response Chest Pain clinic within the week with an appointment.
Otherwise - it's good to be home after an 8 hour stint in emerg..... siiiiiiiiigh lol
I'm back to work tomorrow, but will take it easy - it's what secretaries do, right? LOL

LK my dad lives in Joplin and was 1 mile from the tornado, they're helping with cleanup and I'm going to be going up there at the end of June to celebrate my dad's 65th, wonder how much they will have cleaned up by then.

Besides being assistant to the Exec Director and the Director, I now have another Director I'm assisting (just found out last Friday - she didn't even know - they forgot to tell her LOL!).
Add to that Facilities Contact which means if anything go wrong in the building or parking lot, they contact ME for tickets.
Also I'm Security Contact so if employees need security access (new or updated) they contact "guess who". Keeps me Hopping, I tell ya! And I'm always on the run - don't sit at my computer all day, that's for sure!!! A double-retirement is coming up on the 2nd, so I'm arranging the Pot Luck and other arrangements. It will be great!!
nope, my job is anything but boring, and it's always changing. I love the challenge. Now to see if, when my probation is up on the 6th, they keep me LOL
