Hello Robin !
How are all the seed junkies tonight?
New bees chit chat Come on in!! 2/25/10
Sapphire prayers continue for you and your DH. Tell him we are on his side during this time.
I do have some good news on my nephew today. He got to go to his dad's finally after almost 3 months in the hospital and rehab center. He's not really ready to be discharged having lost what he gained the first time after more surgeries on his arm and leg but he is finally on the mend it looks like. And since he wants back with his mom he'll work hard to get on his feet now.
Mitt this seed junkie is happy to report it looks like your irises are coming through our winter well. They've peeked their green leaves out once only to be froze back under cover but are right back to peeking out again.
Bearded irises are very tough Mindy.
I'll bet you'll be seeing those irises blooming in May.
I know they are tough I've dug them up and just throwed them on the ground somewhere since no one wanted them (this was before DG) and they just put their roots down and went right on growing and blooming. I can't wait to see all the new colors from you and I also rescued some that my Mom had bought me a long time ago have not clue what color since they were mixed colors and weren't blooming where I dug them up. I also moved some pale yellow ones last year. So I expect to have a rainbow of them to enjoy this year.
hi people ny dmail is crazy it won,t let me open any replies thats not good what to do dh told me if i break my puter just forget it im not oona gey a new one. need to have some patience i ask you whats a person to do. hissy fits are goog for me they make the blood move around faster. how harde can it be to open a dmail? the dmail operator is just mad at me for throwing the mouse. its actually a track ball you can,t break one lhe ball just falls out. and you have to crawl around in the floor and find it,and get the cat hair off it they don,t work well with cat hair on them that cat is 18years old how long do they live? anyway
saphire i havea hobby you might enjoy doesn,t cost much for tools or supplies paper cutting my grandchildren enjoy doing it did you cut paper dolls when you were a child much the same thing. let me know if you think you would like to try [t. could send you a few pattarns to try and see if you like doing it my problem with hobbies is they turn into work then they are no longer fun. thats the main reason i don.t do pin and ink drawings anymore that useto be verry relaxing its not any more.littlenettie
HI Everyone,
So nice today! I was able to plant some of the hydrangeas. Still have more to go. My DH took a panoramic view of Mitt's iris' today. But it will only show a little section here. They're looking good though!
Littlenettie please show us some of your drawings!
Edited to say: It did work if you click on it. Yeah!!!

Thanks Honeybunch and seray....She really is a sweet girl, in fact the only time my girl ignores a command is when it's bath time. She cannot stand baths and won't even go out and do her business in the rain and will hold it as long as possible to avoid having to go out in the rain. Then it's out into the yard and into the bushes. Heaven forbid if anyone should actually see her as to her mind a lady should never been seen doing something like that in public or where it could be stepped in by her.
As for commands and not listening I can honestly say that the only time she doesn't listen is when it's bath time. Then the only person she will listen to is my husband as she has bonded more with him than myself.
Mindy, your boy there sounds like a real ham and I wonder what he would do if you fenced in an area that he couldn't get out of or hurt while being in and just left him there all night when he pulls that little trick of his?...LOL
I think he may change his mind about not listening to come in when it's time. Of course, it may take a few times to get the full point across but I'm sure seeing his sister and any other dogs inside while he's stuck outside may change his mind on that.
Sapphire, sorry to hear about the cancellation and panic attack. Just keep in mind that it's more than likely a blessing in disguise. I'll be sure to keep you and your husband in my prayers.
That goes to everyone else going through difficult times right now as well. .
Welcome Zee, It's always good to see that there are other newbies here besides myself :)
Nettie, I think we all stay in trouble and even though we may try to stay out of trouble, trouble always seems to find us.. at least that's the way it is for me...LOL
Wow - All that in one day? I've been gone too long. Well, my tulips and crocuses are starting to come up anyway. Spring is on the way, changing clocks ahead one hour tonight for DST.
Al
rrm how are you todayjust saying hi and hope you get up in the morning frisky as a spring chicken you could really get some things done hope you donlt get up hurting, hugs prays love nettie have a good nioht.
Hi,
I lost my baby sister Thursday nite, I need everybody's prayers please, I hurt so bad.
Cedar
Oh Cedar. I am so sorry! My prayers are for you and your family. I understand you hurt badly and it will take time for the healing to begin, but know that we are here for you if you need to talk. If you wish to talk privately dmail me.
I know that right now, you do not want to hear this, but time heals.
There will come a day that you will think of you sister and all you can remember is the good days. I went thru that when my dad died. After awhile I could think of him and remember the things he taught me and the good times without crying. But my dear it will take time. Cry if you need to!! Punch a pillow if you need to! And we are here for you.
Marti
OH Cedar I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Prayers for you and your family and we are here to listen when you need to let something out or burst.
Silver Smokey would be quite happy to stay outside LOL the only reason he doesn't get to is because part of our yard is beside a public road and no fence plus neighbors who can't drive worth a hoot on a one lane country road (they treat it like it's their own private driveway) plus the fact of the three he's the most adventurous and likes to exporle new territory and I just don't want to have to go hunt him up on 360 acres of land since he has very good selective hearing. He also hates baths but figures it's worth it to get an extra special treat for suffering through one.
Good morning everyone.
Cedar, you and your family are in my prayers. Marti is right - it will take time to heal. You take all the time you need and remember we're here to listen!
Kelly
Cedar, praying for you and your family. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I agree with Marti and Kelly....we are here for you.
My heart goes out to you Cedar. No words I have can make you feel better. You are in my prayers.
Hi Mit, How are you? I took a picture of my irises peeking through, did you see them? Hmm Nettie why is your computer giving you trouble.? Just tell him well there's no arguing computers I t will have to be new it cost more to buy my plants if I don't talk to my NewBee buddies first, so how can I be without a computer?? Just tell him that.
Soo sorry to hear of your loss Cedar, I'll be sure to keep you and your family in my prayers. I've dealt with several losses in my life including the loss of my only brother (older brother), but still it's never easy losing someone you are close to and/or grew up with, and Marti is right the pain may not go away but time will help you through it all. Some days will be worse than others but ALWAYS remember that your sister is in a better place where she can look over you and your family and act as a guardian angel of sorts.
Mindy,
I understand what you mean and you're definitely right, trying to find a dog on 360+ acres of land as well as the rest of the surrounding area would be enough to drive anyone insane...LOL I also know what you mean with countries roads given my grandparents lived in Indiana out in the country and there isn't much maintenance done on the roads if any and people do use them however they see fit no matter who is living around them or the damage caused to the road at all and they were lucky to see 4 cars/trucks drive down the road per day.
Cedar, so sorry to hear of your loss! Hang in there, time will definitely heal--and be sure to take the time to take care of yourself.
Thanks for the welcomes, everyone! I hope to remember to get on here and keep up with the conversations--there's so many cool places on Dave's Garden to explore!
It's been cool and rainy all weekend, and I'm just itching to get outside and plant something. Sigh.
Blessings,
~Z
I'm thinking positive today! Tulips are up, tomato seeds sprouting green tops, turned my light stand on and it actually worked after a long rest! Started some basil, chives, and dill herb seeds. Some of my winter sowing project got washed out by the rain, but I still have a lot left that's okay. Spring may finally be coming, nice clear weather predicted for the week! Helped my mechanic push the airplane out of the hanger yesterday for our first Spring start-up test. Yippee!
