Flowers, now that's a great breakfast!!!
Jim, thanks for defining those sayings. I am just a northern girl and don't know squat!
Trina, you weren't kidding about not having any more space for flowers in your front yard. Do do have so many, even before you got the mother load!
Thankfully I have been off caffeine and cigs. for over 10 years. My drink of choice is Caffeine Free Diet Coke!
Talking about that Sponge Bob. When I visited my granddaughter once, we had to go to the Sponge Bob movie. Really gross plus Haselhoff goes super surfboarding! Stupid. I slept through half of it but my son and daughter-in-law, slept soundly after they finished their popcorn. Granddaughter loved it!
HELP!!!!!
If I had the backyard (and the big dog back there trained) ready for planting it might have been ok...but the back looks like a forest of weeds. Some of them are taller than me!
It was the wrong link to begin with Dave....some days the magic works, others it just goes away...grin
by the way, the RDA on dark chocolate should be all the system allows....grin, seriously, my treat for the day is a cup of decaf with a TBS of melted 92% dark chocolate stirred in with a touch of cinnamon.
Lovely garden Trina...got a nice place to sit in the afternoon shade
I have a sponge Bob sponge that was given to me as a joke....we use it to clean the toilet.....how rude of us....grin
yes I do even though none of the flowers are real tall right now (had to cut the hollyhocks because of the neighbors dog) when I sit on the bench for some reason none of the kids can see me...its like I become "one" with the garden! Kinda like my bhudda hidding between a spider plant an an aloe in the kitchen...no one notices he's there
Hi Rachel, thats ok I never know what they are talking about. Hope you are well and happy.
I know what you mean. It is hard to keep up with what was said by who on what thread!
Who was asking about Wilty??? I have a new photo to post but I don't know where to put it.
I said if wilty is a verbascum, don't worry about it, all mine died off too after they flowered, that is apparently what they do...like tulips and other early spring bulbs do
Hi Rachel! Good afternoon, how was your day?
Just heading out to do a few chores, as the weather is nice. Talk to everyone in a while!
I just posted Wilty's last photo. See the thread above this one.
Quick Hi to everyone.
Like my Dad use to say "gotta make hay while the suns shining".
Hasn't been much of that here lately, will never get all the weeds pulled.
Better go chase down GS , know the homeworks not done.
Later All
No Rachel I haven't. Cat is probably recooperating from her visit with grandkids. Chezca might still be playing that farming game?
I haven't been around much it finally stopped raining and got a lot to catch up on. Thinking on starting putting away yard statues ect. weather is changing fast here. Some of the trees are already changing colors.
Nice puffballs kassy have you eaten them yet?
wow Kassy those are huge!
I was going to ask you if they are edible but I just looked it up. They are inedible because they are bitter, tough, and have a woody texture.
Ask Dave is they are edible
Yes they are huge trina.................BF said they were just gulf ball size 2 days ago
Hi JJ are you feeling it? Worked out hard today! ;)
gees I wish my plants grew that fast
I guess there are different types of puffballs.
Cooking
This mushroom is a choice edible. Trim away the cuticle (covering) if it's encrusted with dirt, and cut out any bad parts with a paring knife. Try not to wash this mushroom under water, or it will become too soggy to sauté.
Slice the puffball, sauté it, steam it, or simmer it in soups, like other mushrooms. It's also great baked or grilled. It has a rich, earthy flavor with a texture of marshmallows.
This mushroom doesn't dehydrate well. To store it long-range, cook it and freeze it.

haha great minds think alike
now you made me hungry
Peanut butter and sugar sandwhich for me!
I'm always hungry....where's that dark chocolate?
JJsgramma, thank's for letting me know about cat and Chezca. Maybe Jim as heard from his grand-daughter and if not... I will d-mail her to see if she is OK. Cat is probably busy as usual at work;-)
Venice you cracked me up ......bless your plant's heart. Maybe it was just time for the plant to die-back for the year;-)
Lynnie, how is your scarey corn plant doing.
Kassy, when you try eating those big puffy football sized mushroom's....let me know how good they are.
I'm going for the big ones tomorrow Rachel. I will inclued pictures ;-)
Lynnie keep up the good work, I'm so feeling it!!
It's BLT's here. Got taken out for lunch by couple I help, She is blind and he has dementia, bipolar and macular degeneration to name a few. So I took them to run errands today. They just keep me entertained because she will ask him something and he will ignore her and make faces cause he knows she can't see him. His grocery list, 48 pack of beer.
Also going to the forty tomorrow to see what pictures I can get out there.
Maybe I can keep Dave busy IDing plants for me.
Heck, I already fround a Sicyos, Star Cucumber here........who knows what I might find there. Gold would be nice..........................LOL
It is so sad. He never had a full life. He never even had a chance to blossom.
