Nite

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Sweet sleep Kassy...be careful out there, it is getting cool, the bear might be looking for something to eat before bed. grin

Delhi, LA

I knew it, by the time I got to the end of the thread everyone went to bed.

I felt like crap today. Didn't do a darn thing but go the therpy. Bunch of us went to some shut-ins house to night and played music and sang. I did a short devotional. Got to do more of that. They really enjoyed the company.

I usually don't have any problem with low blood sugar. When it happens it is so fast it takes you by surprise. This is only the second time I have had it bad enough to physically shake. Had it a few times and felt shaky but it was all internal. Actually, when I monitered it, it wasn't exceptionally low, only eighty. Apparently, it just dropped so fast and I assume was continuing to drop. I wouldn't go to bed until I got over the shakes. Jo's been raising H at me all day for not waking her up. No need of both us losing a nights sleep.

My grandaughter who is autistic and 19, loves SpongeBob. We watched it all day when she was with us last winter. Think I got burned out.

Lynnie, check your favorite corn plant in a couple of days because you will have a hatch out of the white flies. You will probably have to spray it a couple of more times to break the cycle. If your weather is real cool, you can spray it with dormant oil and kill the eggs and not have any more problems.

Out temp will be down to 59 tonight and a high of 85 tomorrow. The best thing is the low humity we are having. Got three or four more days of low humity on tat. Rain due in hear for the week end.

Rachael it is good to see you back. I've been missing you. Haven't heard from Chezca. I told you guys that farm on facebook was habit forming. Just like DG is.

Lynnie, I trying to figure out how you keep your weight at 100#'s. Everytime we hear from you, you are eating. Got a tape worm? Gosh I wish I could do that. I used to weigh 260. Got down to 160 and everyone thought I was dying. Keep it between 185 and 190 now.

Trinna, I enjoyed looking at your front flowers. They are beautiful. Love blooming flowers.

Moon, I still love you, just can't remember what all you posted. What ever it was it was smart and funny.

Guess I missed Dave, Kassy, JJs, and Venice, so hello.

Keaau, HI

Still out here Jim; you watching your blood sugar?

Delhi, LA

Yep. Fixing to take it and go to bed. Night. Hopefully see you tomorrow.

Keaau, HI

Aloha nui loa!

(Zone 5b)

Glad to hear you feel better Jim! I'll do that dormant oil thing but you have to tell me what it is...I have 2 kinds of oil around here, olive & WD40 *grin*.
Lots of people wonder how I keep my weight where it is, I was blessed with a high metabolism and I'm very active...my job is straight out physical and so is my "leisure" time (what is that with little kids?) I often warn people if they feed me I won't go away lol

Kassy men have a different checklist than women..his said "kill mouse" yours says "kill mouse, dispose of it, clean up the trap"

Good morning everybody! Off to work. Maybe I can stay up later tonight lol

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Hi Jim, hope you get sugar under control. Love your stories which by the way if you and Jo enjoy reading there is a series of books written by Jan Karon that I adore. It's about a preacher and his congregation and everything imaginable that they can get into. You can get these at the public library. The first one is "At home in Midford" Great stuff, reminds me of you and Jo. At the end of each book it tells you the next one out. Lynnie funny mouse story, have a couple of those myself. Hey Metro hope you are well. Moon you just keep us goin.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Lynn, he burned the trap seeing he had to burn last night................LOL

But something did die in the walls some place, just not near the computer. Out in the hallway thank god.

Tonight it will be What are Your plants doing while you sleep? OK dave?
I may even find some corn tonight for you Lynn ^_^

Metrosideros is dave...took me some time to figure that out too!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

The 40 we are referring to is Kassy's BF's 40 acres of undeveloped land.

Metrosideros is Dave from Keaau, Hawaii, he has a farm there and works as an endangered/rare plant consultant, and grows cocoa trees and makes chocolate. That is why we call him our Chocolate Plant man....he knows so much about so many plants, he is like having access to a talking plant encyclopedia.

Keaau, HI

That'd be me.

The 40 is a chunk of pristine land where Kassy's BF lives.

Good morning to ya!

Aloha, Dave

oooohhh chocolate...I didn't know about the chocolate part...Dave is the chocolate God....I wonder if I do a chocolate dance If I can get some chocolate!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

But those aren't the ONLY reasons we love you Dave...but they help.....grin

Keaau, HI

Dancing might not get you much Chocolate here. Better luck with pruning shears and a machete.

I have pruning shears and I can borrow my step dads machette

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

There is so much that makes a lot of sense now!!! I couldn't figure out about all the chocolate talk! Yes, Dave, I love you too!

Hey, what kind of plant is that? All those ferns underneath. Do they just grow wild? Did you take this photo on your farm? How large is it? What all do you grow on your farm other than chocolate! Grin!!!! I am sorry if you have already shared this info. I guess I missed it.

Keaau, HI

Chocolate on the way!

oh e still my beating heart, you are a man of man talents and somany mysteries still to onfold dave!

Keaau, HI

The tree is a Theobroma cacao, Chocolate Tree. I grow a lot of them; planning to grow more.
I grow a lot of herbs, spices, tropical fruit, and rare plants. Anything you might like to see?

The last photo is a Crillo Cacao pod (they are opened with a machete). In the water is Cacao Beans fermenting. In the box is Cacao Beans drying and getting ready to be roasted.

Time to go to town (Hilo) talk to everyone when I get back.

Aloha, Dave
