Is There Ever Too Much of Luping's Basil?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

It should not be a chore to laugh....and being corny is a gift....guess that is why they call it Flights of fancy cuz it is uplifting.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

good morning all...my brain is on plant overload!

(Zone 5b)

morning Hotrock :) just watering all those plants would overload me! lol

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Morning Trina, I agree with RockSteady Lynnie....grin, reminds me of the Boomtown Rats..."the little black box inside her head switched to overload.......I don't like Mondays"

(Zone 5b)

tell me why....song gives me the chills.....

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

LOL!!! Nah it wasn't the plants that did me in between the puppy, and my husbands utter refusal to take her out in the middle of the night, and this medication, I get tired easily

(Zone 5b)

is the puppy crated at night?
moon i think we can be Goofballs of the Sorghum or the Slapstick Sorghum Gypsies...

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Shame on him...if he's awake take the pup out...just like a baby, somebody has to do the 2AM diaper change and why does it always have to be Mom? Oh yeah, I remember, Mom has the food supply....grin

Sorry you are not feeling up to snuff today....good thoughts and a buzz headed your way, Trina

I agree Lynnie, that song was a strange choice for a top of the charts hit....blackthoughts seem to sell well....back to bubblegum music.....Yummy yummy yummy.....maybe not...grin

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

maybe the Sorghum Puffball Gypsies.....or the Molasses Puffball band....oh, speaking of bands, one of my favorite garage band names is 'Hornets attack Victor Mature', another is "Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark' and 'Mental as Anything'

(Zone 5b)

Cheer up, sleepy jean.
Oh, what can it mean.
To a daydream believer
And a homecoming queen

how's this one? you must have heard this a LOT

(Zone 5b)

Puffballs makes us sound fat *grin*

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

At least DHJim doesn't use my shaving razor...hot or cold...grin
Just be glad Kassy doesn't have a yard full of Stinkhorns.....we could create a whole persona....Stickhorn Molasses, scourge of the west.....

And hey, you are doing the gym for JJs....just expand your workout for the band...LOL

(Zone 5b)

You're lucky there! I finally got new ones, hid one ssshh!
As for the workouts, I'm hungry all the time NOW! if I had to work out for all I'd have to quit work so I could eat enough lol
Stinkhorn might be the most appropriate name for the band HAHAHAHAHA

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hey, we haven't even got our kazoos warmed up good.....at least we have a better repertoire than the Starland Vocal band.....sky rockets take flight....afternoon delight...who does fireworks in the daytime for Pete's sake....grin

We'll just make regular deposits of peanut butter no bake cookies in your account...grin

(Zone 5b)

Moon I don't think that song is to be interpreted literally ;)
I'm going to need some of that Lambic if I'm gonna start playing a kazoo *grin* and I CAN be bribed with cookies.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

no the puppy isn't crated at night anymore! ok this plant came with the tag "Huechera Burgundy" but it looks like a coleus to me what do yall think?

COOKIES?!?! I want some cookies...especially if they're peanut butter

(Zone 5b)

I confuse coleus with huechera a lot but it is probably a huechera...there are lots of them, they're on my someday list....
Trina have you had those no bake cookies with oatmeal, peanut butter & chocolate? I need to dig out the recipe I'm supposed to post it.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Man that sounds good...I haven't made homemade cookies since 3 christmas' past now...cuz i was gonna make my my oatmeal cookies...but that ended in a trip to the ER on christmas eve...not an experience I would like to repeat!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

The leaves are all wrong for Heuchera....Here is a cool link to coleus, solenostemon

Thanks moon! That's what I thought...so I better take starts then so I have some for next year...just love the color of this! check out my garden protector

(Zone 5b)

I'm better at identifying cookies than plants. Where's the cookie forum? I should go there.

(Zone 5b)

that may even scare off Malakai

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

LOL. Lynnie....uhg the bad neighbor with the dogs is here!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

today I feel like the old buzzard

Thumbnail by trinawitch
(Zone 5b)

Trina can you spin that the other way when you're feeling good? *grin*

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Love the garden gorgon, Trina.

Lynnie, this is very easy and very good.
NO BAKE CHOCOLATE PEANUTBUTTER COOKIES
Mix together in a heavy saucepan:
2 cups sugar
4 TBS cocoa powder
1/2 cup milk
1 stick butter
Place on high heat and stir constantly,. When reaches a rapid boil, time for 1 minute, remove from heat and quickly add :
3 cups quick oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
Stir until mixture thickens. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper and let cool.

The cook time is imperative...too little and it won't set, too long and it turns to crumbly glop.

My mother tucked that recipe in with a blanket she made for our first born. She said with kids you need quick and tasty. been using it for 36 years and nary a complaint....grin

(Zone 5b)

that's it! that's the recipe! it's one of our favorites :)
I'm going to cut & paste it into my favorite places so I don't have to hunt for it...the kids like to play "restaurant" with my cookbooks and everything gets mixed up.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Too cool. It is also a favorite here. Making them for Jordan's "before I was born day"...a treat to ease the wait for birthday cake and presents.

(Zone 5b)

I can't get that song out of my head now "tell me why I don't like Mondays tell me why..."
Ok I'm off to visit Mother so she can see the kids before school starts.
Gonna have to put the radio on to change my earworm....

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Over the river and through the woods to Grandma's house we go.....have a great day...be careful.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

"dino" as the kids call him is made out of old tools & rebar....my first attempt at "Garden Art".....LOL

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Good job Trina. I love repurposed art.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Well I see these things at craft fairs but their prices are so blasted much...my husband taught me how to weld on this project....and it taught the kids a lesson too!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

New art and a new skill....bonus round.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

And that just because mom is disabled doesn't mean I have to live by someone else's limitations and neither should they

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Like Pogo says, I have seen the enemy and the enemy is we. Sometimes we listen to the conventional wisdom and accept failure with even trying....sad

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Exactly! TheMoone is very wise indeed...I try to tell them quit living down to what everyone else expects....rise above that and let your own light shine

(Zone 5b)

well I forgot Mother is babysitting her greatgrands today....did the groceries instead...lots of deep breaths with all the help I was getting from the kids...I'm now digging into some leftover Indian food....yum!
(I'm feee-eeelin' fine...draggin' the line...) mission accomplished on the earworm.
Sentences that start with "you can't" set my teeth on edge! "I can't WHAT?"

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Always been the sort to see You can't as an invitation to try....that made for an interesting childhood......yes I can climb up on the roof....see.
a little Tommy James for the ears...how about Mony mony?
Interesting story where he got that name...sitting in hotel room in New York trying to figure out the rhyme and saw a lighted billboard for Metropolitan Opera of New York with the abbreviation MONY....a mind full of useless information and trivial goodies....grin

Gotta run to the dry cleaners...my military press was a bit lacking....grin

Later Y'all
