I wish! My grandma has poppies growing like that all over her back yard and I've tried everything to get starts to grow here, she's collected seeds for me, we've dug a patch up and transplanted it but nothing...it just dies and I never see them again

I dug this one up from my mom's place the spring after she had passed away. ( I got a few of her flowers). I transplanted it here, in a low section, and when we had alot of snow like we usually do, it wasn't growing the best there, so I transplanted it closer to the house. This Spring I transplanted it to my BF's place, and that is a picture that I took of it this spring. I have collected seeds, so I want to try to start more too. Those seeds are TINY!!!

Meds? Lisinopril, 2 kinds of Insulin.

yes they are...I have a feeling that plants (like kids and pets) know when they are not wanted, either that or my ex was just a #$%%$# and did something to them cuz he knew I wanted them so much

Nuerontinin 400mg, 4 times a day
Lyrica 75 mg, 2 times a day
Sinemet 75/125mg, 3 times a day
Mirapex 25mg, 1 a day
Flexerill 10mg, 3 times a day
Tramadol 50mg, 3 times a day
and Vicodin as needed for pain (but I don't like the way it makes me feel so I try not to take it)

OK Dave , meds? Mebaral, Phenitoin, Phenobarb, and Fosamax D

OOPS, I forgot my eye drops Timolol Mal .............Glaucoma runs in our family.

its sad, as we get older and we pack for trips and we realize we have to have a seperate bag just for our medications!!!!

Also B-Complex & high Niacin doses; supposed to be good for me.

I keep teasing my doctor that I am just gonna throw all mine away and take my chances

welcome to the game show guess the meds...here's how we play, I'm going to show you a pill and you have to guess what it is...if you get it right, you get a cookie...the person with the most cookies at the end of the game gets their choice...this lovely ergonomically correct hand shovel, or these lovely goatskin garden gloves...players are you ready to begin?....LOL

OH watch it, i may be good at that game..........we have a pill book at work ............LOL

we have one here at the house....this could get ugly....ROFL

Best to be careful about one's medical program. If I don't take insulin, I'm a gonner; if I take too much insulin I'm a gonner. Have to manage the meds carefully (and don't forget to eat).

Kassy, losing patients is why I left nursing all those years ago....could not find the detached/connected balance that is necessary to survive....my mom said she never understood why I tried in the first place. She started her nursing career in the Army nursing corps....knew what it took to keep the line between compassion and over-involvement strong and clear.

I found it easier when I took care of the elderly. I didn't become as attached. But working where I do now, I only have 3 to take care of, so with so much close contact with them you tend to get attached a lot easier.
The mother of the one we lost send us pizza on the day of our staff meeting and a beautiful thank you note......Thanking us and telling us that she had always told him that he was lucky enough to have 2 homes......their's and with us when they couldn't be there for him. She is a real sweet lady.

I'm already getting attached to our new one, and I have only worked with her 3 nights....LOL

You have a good heart Kassy.....it shows in all you do.

morn..well afternoon everyone! I couldn't be a nurse, not because I couldn't keep that line, or because i don't care, but because I have absolutely zero tolereance for stupid people and I would get in trouble for going off on a family member who shows up just to get the patient upset

Heck Lynnie I'm still trying to get them all back in the house! Trying to figure out which ones will tolerate low (very low) light levels so I can move some to the bathroom! Stupid tree-hugging-dirt-worshipper in me can't bear to see anyone of them die...even if the bulk of them were free! By the way venice...my verbascum died out too right after it flowered...apparently they do that
