Lynn, I know that song well!
LOL Lynn on the cookie forum! If you find one, let me know^_^
Jean, not sure I want molasses on my Puffball. LOL
Thanks for the recipe Jean ^_^
Lynn, BF plans on taking me over near the lake one of the days when I am there. He said Lighthouse and BIG rocks are there ;-)
And Dave, where ever you are.............Truck is fixed, so he is planning a trip to the forty, or 2...........LOL
He also pickes up wood out there to burn during the winter. Any of the trees that fall over get cut up for burning at his place.
Just so that bear that wanted to get into the trailer stays away :-|
Is There Ever Too Much of Luping's Basil?
lions and tigers and bears oh my!
Make molassases out of the sorgrum.
If the hay is rotten enough next spring will put it in my raised beds to help retain moisture. Had a real problem with that this year.
Jim, your not the only one who had trouble retaining moisture. We had to do a lot of watering. And now our growing season is coming to an end, and it's raining more. Sunny today, but more rain this month I think then we had all summer. :(
We may have Hit the 90's 3 days, and one of them was in June............LOL
Well at least the Puffballs like it ^_^
Black Currant Lambic! Never heard of it.
Dave, have you heard of black currants?
Yes, there are several Black Currants, Ribes americanum, Ribes hudsonianum, Ribes nigrum.
Hey Dave, can you ID this palm for Trina?
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=7008870
OH, how rude. Good morning Dave. How are you today? Now, can you do the palm? Grin
Yummy, Black Currant Jam on scones with Black Currant tea....Num Yummy.
I found out there where black currents after we moved here. Mom only had red, but we had some black growing near the creek here, so I looked them up. Now I can't find the current bushes down there anymore :(
I wanted to move one up to my BF's, but I think a few animals that hang around done there might have done away with them, or they are hiding really good!
my brain hurts! too much info now crammed in there....make it stop make it stop....I'm starting to have nightmares about plants in starter pots trying to break into the house!
Poor Trina...we do sympathize with you, but gee everyone should have such a problem....grin
You can join Napolean Boneparte the Fourth....They're coming to take me away, HAHA, HOHO HEEHEE, to the funny farm where life is beautiful..... Grin
hehehe you're truly one of us Trina.......
Good Morning Dave ^_^
Is everything ok there now?
Hi Kassy, I hope everything is okay!
So I got a baby one? How big will this thing get?
2 to 3 ft tall and wide at maturity I think is what I read. It would probably like a larger pot, a little more sun and maybe a shot of miraclegrow just for grins...
It wasn't so happy in full sun...but i just fertilized them today so thats good to know!
I hope so too Dave! If anymore pops up ask and I'll ask my son.........LOL
He needs a little extra work beside not knowing how to use a selfporpelled lawn mower.....LOL
Poor Guy will never live that down will he Mom? Grin
ROTFL........Jean, I have said nothing to him, but had a great laugh!!
And it is stored in the Mom Arsenal forever, just in case ya need it....grin
You bet it is........I didn't even tell my BF yet. He's going to love it!
Ah yes...knowledge the BF can't use....but can get a laugh from....
oh so true
that IS a funny visual....poor guy!
And don't ya know he hated having Mom show him how the lawnmower worked....grin
ok who hasn't seen my viscious puppy?
I have a confession....I have ever only mowed a lawn once in my life...and I owned my own house for years before getting married...so I am NOT one to laugh at your son.
until i moved here i always had a rider...now have push mower
CorrectionTrina.......now have teenagers....LOL
very true...very true
OMG, Lynn, I can laugh at mine because I was the one who mowed the lawn for years when I lived at home with my parents. I even mowed the neighbors lawn.
He did say when he came in, before he found the handle that make it propel........."Now I see why Grandma had a riding mower!"..............ROTFL
She got the riding mower after I left home!
Kassy's gone...do we hire or buy a rider....buy a rider, they don't talk back....grin
Chamaedorea Palms are understory plants that like to live in rainforests. They should not be given a lot of sun.
OK Dave, would you tell that to my BF, who tends to neglect his. And it sits in an east window..........LOL
They are also called Parlor Palm ^_^
I gave mine away.......I sure hope that lady is not neglecting it!
We buy a rider Jean.
BF said he will not buy a rider as long as he can cut the grass...........SO this year I'm letting him cut it instead of ME cutting it each time I was up there like I did last year.
Hey, he has too much time on his hands anyway!!
Hey Kassy's Boy Friend, get that Parlor Palm out of the sun!
LOL and water it more then once a week.....
we've had so much rain here hasn't been much of a need to water...never good when you go out and the plants are floating in their pots.
