I've ordered both plants (last November, a bunch of exotic citrus and a banana), and really nice planters (this past month) from Logee's, and I was very impressed by the plants, the planters, and the service.

I had a small issue with the planters - I ordered two each of two different styles, but they only shipped one. My husband called about the discrepancy, and was very pleased with their customer service; not only were they polite and friendly, but they found the problem (they had misread the order and only shipped one of each), and called us back the same day within an hour to tell us that the remainder of our order would be shipped the next day. Well, they did, and today I received the rest of my order in great condition and quickly! I really appreciate good customer service when things go wrong, and I have to give Logee's credit for figuring out the problem and fixing it so quickly. I will surely order again from them...I love begonias and they definitely have some that would look great in those beautiful planters they sent me!

I nearly forgot...I had also ordered a Piper nigrum (lovely and well-rooted) with the citrus and banana...but my cat unfortunately ate it. So... cat owners, watch your Piper species! This year I've ordered several time from Logee's and was very happy with my experience. First was a container collection which grew into an absolutely beautiful arrangement, and I received many compliments about it. I also ordered two hoyas which were very well grown and a pleasure to receive. Several weeks ago a gift selection of two begonias was sent as a housewarming gift for a new home. The recipients were thrilled with the quality of the plants and their condition on arrival. I cannot say enough good things about this company.

I ordered a variety of plants in 2.5" pots last spring. The plants were packed carefully and arrived healthy. Most thrived, but one, the baby citrus, did not put on new growth during the summer and its health deteriorated this fall. I emailed Logees for advice on how to save the plant, and they offered to send me a replacement -- seven months after the plant first arrived.

I am impressed with this customer service and will not hesitate to order more exotics from Logees in the future (though I may invest in the more expensive, more established plants next time).

I ordered three Ceropegia's from this company - it was the first time I have ever ordered from them.

I am extremely pleased at the quality of the plants, as well as at the wonderful care with which the plants were packed in the carton - there was nary a stray speck of dirt, the plants were a good size and very healthy, and the soil was cool and moist.

I also appreciate the unpacking instructions and care sheet that was included in the package.

I will not hesitate to order from this company again.

They were so wonderful, I had ordered a plant for mothers day from them and was taking care of it when it died. I have tried inside and outside with plenty of water and fertilizer. All the other plants that I have ordered are doing fine, so I think it might just be this particular plant.

I apologize for the inconvenience with this plant. With so much trouble with one plant I would suggest that you call and speak to someone here about the care of that plant in case there is a specific issue. At that point you and the Customer Service Rep. could decide whether you would like replacement plants or a credit for the plants. Either way we want to make sure that you are happy with your experience at Logee's and the plants that you receive.

Thank you, Logee's"

I have ordered begonias from Logee's over a number of years. Until this last time, I hadn't fully comprehended their return policy. I did not think that they would replace a plant that 'bought the big one' once it was inside your home. Well, to my surprise, they lived up to a replacement policy.

I love begonias and this is the place to find interesting ones online. They are pricey, but because of their variety and rarity, worth it. What is not worth it is shipping and handling (as it is for most online businesses).

I made a complaint in July about the plants received in early June. I immediately got Logee's attention, and within 10 business days, they had replaced the plants with which I had the issues.

Because of their variety of choices (not only with begonias) and diversity of species, and now knowing their return policy, I would recommend them for future plant purchases, in spite of the cost of the plant and S and H charges.

I ordered 8 plants from Logee's approximately 2 years ago, and all except one died after the 15 day replacement period. About a month ago, I decided to give them one more try, and ordered some cacti and succulents. It was a 3 week wait, due to heavy order volumes during their annual sale. I was given no shipping options, and incorrectly assumed that live plants would be shipped UPS or FedEx, especially in the hot summer months. Logee's shipped them via USPS, and since we live in a rural area, we receive our mail at a PO box in town. It is impossible to get to the Post Office to pick up packages every day, since I work in another state an hour away, and simply cannot always get to the Post Office during their window hours.
So my plants sat in a box at the Post Office for 3 days, and so far one has rotted at the crown, and others are looking a little shaky. I called last Tuesday for a replacement, and asked that it be shipped UPS, and was told they "use USPS Priority Mail", and it would "possibly" be shipped on Thursday. So at this point ,it appears that the replacement will also sit at the Post Office for at least a few days, and it is doubtful it will survive. I give up! I will NOT be ordering from Logee's again.
I am disppointed that a company of Logee's reputation cannot offer some sort of alternative shipping, especially if the customer is willing to pay extra.

I am currently on vacation, but I have sent an email to the office regarding this issue and will discuss it when I return. If you have any problems with the plants please contact us.

Again, I am very sorry for your inconvenience."

Seriously nice people! They sent an email with a tracking number to notify me when the plants shipped. Plants were healthy but I was a bit shocked at just how tiny a 2 1/2 potted plant was. No problem, though, they are growing quickly. My only recommendation is if you don't have a long growing season is to buy the 4 inch pot if offered.

I hate to say this, but I'm very disappointed.

I'd ordered a Magic Fruit tree in January (to be shipped in May) for a mother's day present. I told my mother since January that I had something special planned. May has come, so I contacted the company to check on the shipping first through email. No response.

I then called and the woman I spoke to was nice, but told me that I would have to wait until Fall to get the tree. Apparently, the order did not go through but sent me a confirmation email anyway. Instead of my mother getting a special present, I had to rush around looking for a replacement.

The company has very nice plants, but I feel incredibly let down by this. I don't know if I will be ordering from them again because I find it hard to trust that my order is going through.

My advice to anyone ordering something special from Logee's is that you check (through the phone) the web order and again in a few months. Do your best to avoid the disappointment.

We need more companies led by people with kind hearts. Logee's is one such company and for that reason I encourage anyone reading this to order from them; I know that I will again.

Thank you Logee's.

I contacted the customer to get the details and do what we could to make her happy. First, we send her a replacement for her pelargonium that had died. She also suggested that 15 days was not long enough to make sure that plants get used to their new home and recover from shipping. This was actually something we had been discussing already; we made the change a few weeks ago to a 30 day guarantee period (it will show up in our summer catalog being mailed out in the next few days). She also suggested that we find a better way to explain about "damaged" plants. If you receive a dead plant we will, of course, replace it right away. However, if you receive one that is in poor condition (dry, etc.), but might recover you can always call or email within 30 days to tell us about the poor condition while you are trying to nurse it back to health. We will put a note in your order so that if it doesn't survive you can get a replacement after the 30 days. "

I rec'd my order from Logees, precisely within the advertised timeframe, plus I rec'd a very helpful shipping update via email. I was totally astonished at the AMAZING care that was taken to ship my plants, they were cushioned to prevent breakage and movement of the plants during shipment, well insulated with a water-proof covering to prevent the plants/roots from drying out, and carefully packed....I never saw anything like it! Wish all the folks I order plants from shipped like this....
My plants arrived incredibly fresh, considering they were shipped UPS, regular mail, from way over on the east coast. They are small, but small plants survive transit (and later transplanting) much better than larger plants, to my experience, -which is why I prefer them to larger plants. Logee's prices are extremely reasonable, and their selection is outstanding in it's variety.
I don't suppose I could give this company a higher recommendation than positive, could I?

Plants and other things (in my case pots) have arrived packaged well and in great shape. If you order the smaller plants be sure to be patient and your new little friend should do very well. Order the larger plants if you want instant "show" but because of cost I stick to the very small plant.

First let me apologize, we truly believe that every customer should be happy with their experience with Logee’s and our plants. We also try to learn and improve from all comments made about our products and service.

Most of our customers grow our plants indoors and so all of our current instructions are focused on growing them as indoor, potted plants. This is also why we ship all plant orders as soon as possible instead of holding for certain dates as many mail-order nurseries do. Orders can be held upon request, but we do not do so as a rule because most of our customers want the plants as soon as possible.

We have begun discussing both of these issues and how to correct them for our customers, especially for website orders because with phone orders our customer service representatives always tell customers approximately when shipping will occur and often provide other information as well.

Lastly, we do truly want our customers to have a good experience and encourage them to give us a call or send an email if they have questions or problems with their plants. We are happy to help both you and your plants to be successful.
