Happy Easter to all of you..
Be safe if you travel.
Hugs...

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Same here, Wishing all of you a wonderful Easter!

We are traveling to the other side of our duplex to moms.....Laura and I will do the cooking....

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello Trisha & Sharran - my special friends!

Sounds like a neat Easter....with the animals and all......

Easter was salvaged a bit today....BIL's family ended up showing up tomorrow...and so we will as well....Maybe I need to go boil some eggs....

Anyway .....We're going to MIL's house. Unlike all the old jokes, I really do love my MIL. I mean I resigned myself long ago realizing that they really do make allowances for their sons....I will too when I am a MIL.

But she does try to help me, I think....and she knows how much I have done for her son and GK's.

Maybe I will get to weed her flower bed again! :) I hope so....it will give me something to do...

Hugs,
Mary

Victoria Harbour, ON

Happy Easter everyone from sunny, exciting Washington D.C.
I am NOT disappointed in any way about the 4 boys..they are enjoying everything with enthusiam, respectful of the rules I gave them and I am enjoying every bit as much of my vacation as they..

Yesterday, toured the Capital Bldg./did the D.C. Duck tour, Arlington Cemetery, Pentagon Memorial, night fireworks, the monument...

Today, because we are leaving a day early, we've had breakfast..
Taking photo's at White House, Lincoln memorial, then the Aerospace museum then the Holocaust museum (which they haven't stopped talking about-so enthused about this one) then 2nd aerospace museum, by then I'll be watching the clock..would love to travel a couple hundred miles then find a hotel tonight, early start tomorrow and have them back to their homes before Tuesday sunrise..lol...

Our hotel...must tell you I fretted, booked on-line..mid week read the reviews, absolutely ghastly..called Thurs. to confirm with staff if it was 'safe' and 'clean'

Arrived and OMG they've totally renovated..our suite - 2 rooms was more than spacious, marble, granite all over..top of the line..so got to tell you I was thrilled..

Ok boys are ready, will gab when I get home and can tell you all about it....

Enjoy your day...

P.S. - will even have $$$ left after this trip...lol

I am sorry-I am not in a very good place mentally right now-I hope you can understand. I am trying to dig myself out, but it is a slow struggle....it is an internal struggle and no one's fault, I would just prefer to deal with it on my own without affecting anyone else-I don't feel very nice right now to be honest, but I am trying to not let it affect DH if I can help it....please don't worry about me in the least. I will be back, it may just take me a bit to feel very conversational and friendly.

I still love you all, but as I am sure that you have felt like this at least once in your life, hopefully you can understand. The last thing I want right now is to be around anyone, and while we don't have a physical connection, we do have a deeper emotional connection that is in a lot of ways is harder when you feel like this. When you are around someone that maybe your whole relationship hasn't evolved around conversations, you can lie to them or at the very least pretend to make the situation better, but when your whole intertwined existence simply relies on matters of the head and heart, it is substantially harder.

It will be hard enough to be at MIL tomorrow for a late Easter dinner. I have been reading a lot, listening to a lot of music and watching a little TV. I have discovered the Twilight series and have read all 4, plus the partial draft of another version of the 1st book several times, a well as several others. Just trying to escape I guess until I can get a hold of my self.

I will be back, have no doubt, but until I can feel the light as well as the dark side of my self, I will not be a healthy part of anything. All I feel now is black and gray. There are no other colors to me right now.

Hello To All;

Stacey - my thoughts with you. We're here whenever you need us...

Happy Easter Everyone!

We ended up at MIL's house which was good for me....I'm glad we went.

I just wanted Extreme Makeover Home Edition just now...the family are friends with my cousins...
She and her husband (who had been diagnosed with Brain Cancer) had a large family, many of the children adopted from China, one blind, another deaf...

So I've just bawled my eyes out. It was sad but happy.

Headed back in a bit.
Hugs,
Mary

WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING
A message every adult should read because children
are watching you and doing as you do, not as you say.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you hang my
first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately
wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you feed a
stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind
to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make my
favorite cake for me, and I learned that the little
things can be the special things in life.

When you thought I wasn't looking I heard you say a
prayer, and I knew that there is a God I could always
talk to, and I learned to trust in Him.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make a
meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I
learned that we all have to help take care of each
other.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of
your time and money to help people who had nothing,
and I learned that those who have something should
give to those who don't.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you take care
of our house and everyone in it, and I learned we have
to take care of what we are given.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw how you
handled your responsibilities, even when you did not
feel good, and I learned that I would have to be
responsible when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw tears come
from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things
hurt, but it's all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw that you
cared, and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn't looking I learned most of
life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and
productive person when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking I looked at you and
wanted to say,'Thanks for all the things I saw when
you thought I wasn't looking.'

I AM SENDING THIS TO ALL OF THE PEOPLE I KNOW

WHO DO SO MUCH FOR OTHERS,
BUT THINK THAT NO ONE EVER SEES.

LITTLE EYES SEE A LOT

Each of us (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, teacher, friend)

influences the life of a child.

How will you touch the life of someone today?
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak
kindly.

Leave the rest to God.

Good night everyone!!

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

So, I play this game, have since high school, called "random quote of the day". You listen to things said around you and pick out the one that sounds the weirdest out of context. Such as one of my favorite, "Dad's raising the money this year because he's going to be using duck tape" My friends dad still does Easter egg hunts. As his kids got older he started using plastic eggs with candy and then money to make it so the game was still fun, well that year he was putting higher amounts of money in, because he was going to be using duck tape to hide the eggs. I thought this was worth posting for Easter.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Good Morning Ya'll!!

LOL! Great pictures and Easter what-not.

Tubby love it, how beautiful.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Quiet group today. Just got back from meetings MIL, her attorney and one of Bill's sisters....I hate these things but they need to be addressed.

Now I have more fun to look forward too....such as....

First of all, Happy Easter to all, even though I'm late. Just too much drama last week. My oldest daughter moved back home, which doesn't help things between me and DH. I copied the following from my prayer thread:
Things are going from bad to worse. He just will not leave, yet he does not try to make things better. He is becoming very cruel verbally. I told him that there was no way he was taking the boys with him or me leaving them if I decide to leave. Since then, he has been having pow-wows with the boys, and I have no idea what he's telling them. I don't want to ask the boys because I don't want to put them in the middle.
Colt did not visit for Easter. He is still not speaking to me. I finally called Colt's mother-in-law and she told me that Liam is having seizures and stiff muscles. A nurse is coming in 3 times a week to massage Liam's muscles. They are taking him to Vanderbilt for a brain scan, and the MIL said she would keep me posted. She even told me that if I wanted to come spend a weekend with her that she would get Liam for the weekend so I could see him. She is such a wonderful person.
Love you all and please continue your prayers. love, julie

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Froggiegirl, I know you don't want them to be in the middle, but if you don't ask them what is going on, you will be left standing on the side of the road some where! Alone! You need to know, and have every right to know what is being said! Your hubby, should not be telling them bad things, or secrets behind closed doors.
Good luck.

Sending hugs, and prayers for you.

LK

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Hugs and prayers to you, Julie. LK is right. I am glad you have Colt's MIL to talk with, and my prayers are with little Liam, too.

Shopped all day long today, something I never do, so now it will take me the rest of my life to get stuff put away. Stopped in the bookstore, had a gift card from Christmas that i had forgotten. I love the bookstore, so spent hours in there and saw some old friends I had not seen in a while. The bookstore has sofas and seating areas, so we chatted for a long time. Then I used my gift card and came home with lots of reading material. I read so quickly though, I will probably zip through them before the week is over.

But it was a fun day.
Hope your day was good, too.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Julie prayers hun. I think you should ask too. You're not the one putting them in the middle, he is, by starting this whole monster in the first place by budding up with them.

Sharon that is so neat! I'm glad you got to visit with your friend and get good books to read!

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello To All;

Julie - I agree....DH should tell you what is going on. You are very right for not putting the kids in the middle but DH is not playing it the right way....so I guess you would have to confront him. Maybe he is bi-polar?
Sharran - So glad to hear from you! I love reading as well...just not reading lately. Any good books to recommend? Lots of folks recommended "The Shack" to me....the library has it on a Long Long wait.....
Crissy - "Ornery" because Mrs. Cheerful is back? Is your roadtrip vacation coming up soon?

I may not be on much as of late...headed to Ft. Walton Beach...we have a condo on the beach 4/15-19....kids were supposed to bring friends but all the plans fell through so it may just be the family....and we're having stress with that. Vacations have not been very happy around this family....they just never seem good enough for DD's......

The best one we had was last May - we did this very same vaca....kids brought friends and with only one hiccup....everything went well....so I hoped it would go well this time but it hasn't......

Oh well....I just need to try to relax and unwind....

Hugs - back in a bit,
Mary
