Spent the day feeling horrible yesterday and when max came home i was out.. I slept from 5 pm until 630 this am.. Of course I was up every few hours for bathroom and blowing my nose but I still feeel very icky.. Was 84 yesterday and I froze my but off all day.. Looks like its not the pollen that got me but the CRUD.. I still feel bad today but am going to try to do a few errands (no conact with other people) then come home and go back to bed..

The upside is I had someone email me yesterday about the washer.. I got one off craigslist for a whole $25 and they helped me load it on the truck so when Max came home he unloaded and moved the broken one out and started laundry wit hthe new washer while I slept.. He kept walking in and touching my head asking if I was okay.. Bella laid right at my side all day on the couch and is at my feet now.. I guess she knows her momma isnt feeling good..

Happy Birthday Ann Marie! Would sing but my voice is so raspy it would be bad..

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

BJ,
Love your property. So close to the lake how neat. The shop is nice size and has a porch. MAN! Rick would be in 7th Heaven with a shop like that. His is just a little 8'x 5' shed, lol. Have you lived there very long? Looks as if you have a lot to play with. How about the daffs? All I've gotten so far is yellow and white.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

BJ, thanks for sharing the pictures. That is going to be so nice when finished. So glad to hear your son is helping out! Can't wait to see the finished yard.
Hope your not too sore today!
Donna, sorry to hear your not at your best either! So much of this crud going around. You get lots of rest, and drink lots of juice!

LK

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks Cindy... the shop is a nice size... and the shed roof was built to house the garden equipment, but it's accumulated so much junk, that we can hardly walk through it... I really need to get out there and clean all that up. We've been here 3 1/2 years... the garage that used to sit there, on that slab, burned down a couple years ago... so we replaced it with the shop building... was one of those already built structures that they move in on a big flat bed truck. Then, Don built the shed roof onto it.
I do have a couple yellow blooms on the daffs you sent me... no pink ones yet... but I think almost any day now I should be seeing some.

I did plant some Ranunculus bulbs last fall too... and they're about to bloom... I really can't wait...

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

BJ wow you definately have you r work cut out for you right now.. I wish I had the energy to get out there and do some work.. Love the pictures..

LK .. Im getting rest and dirnking lots of OJ..

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Well I guess I better get a few things done so I can get some more rest in befor ethe kids get home later..

BJ you are going to have such a great feeling of acomplishmnet when your pavers are installed. Now that's a spring project that, when it's all said and done, you'll be proud of! I'm excited for you.

I worked on one bed. Can't get out there just yet. Waiting to see if Larry's two aunts are coming over for our weekly Sunday School lesson. Afterwards, I may put on my gardening duds and hit the dirt.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Morning everyone....headed out to get Sage to school and return the rental truck.....go do the kitchen floor and the windows while the carpet guys do the rugs....then we don't have to ever go back there!!!!!!!!!

Morning Jaye! I can smell the coffee from here! was on way earlier and typing when Randall said to get me bum in gear. We're already back from the tax accountant's doing this year's taxes.

WHOOOEE! Steve and I came up with a boatload of deductions I hadn't thought of, since I'm selling irises now! He'd tell me something I can deduct that I didn't think I could, and then I'd think of another and he'd say, yep, that too. and now I have to sit down and put in a LOT more time and get him still more numbers. Randall was quite happy my hobby is paying for itself - that's enough for him!

Happy B'Day AnnMarie!

Donna, hope you get over this bug, sweetie.

BJ - oh My LORD! the front looks completely different now! can't wait to drop by next time to see it again! Have decided next time will see if they'll let me fly into Dallas and rent a car to drive down to San Antonio, see all y'all and some iris breeders, too!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Bon, so glad to hear you foubnd a bunch of deductions! Make sure you have all the reciepts, and paper work! Long forms are a lot of work, but well woth it if you can! I used to do it when I owned the tattoo shop! Lots of deductions there too! Don't forget your vehicle and mileage. If you use it for work, you can claim part of it.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Waving!!! Hey there Linda Kay. I'm heading out to the garden. On myt own for the SS lesson today. I'll check back in in a bit. Glad your iris business is going well for you Bon.

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!
Did some damage at Lowe's this morning!!! Bought 4 more camellias and found a YELLOW camellia. It's Jury's Yellow in a 5 gallon and you all know how impossible it is to find a yellow one.
It's the ONLY one left if not I would have bought them all!!
Phyllis, I asked the expert at Lowe's and she plant all her camellias in full sun at her house! Then she said that she exposed Lowe's camellias in full sun too, even in summer. Her zone is 7a btw. Just to let you know.
I see some irises peeking out when I was coming in the house Bonnie... so I'm gonna play outside!!!! Don't take much to make this woman happy! PTL your hobby is paying back, Bonnie!
BJ....echoing others here.. you're gonna have a gorgeous garden!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

:( It is snowing again........

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Nooooooooooooooooo Trisha!!! :***(

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh no, no more snow please. They have had enough!
Jaye, you are going to take cuttings of the yellow camellia for us right!!! ;)
That sounds so pretty. Send a picture when you can.
Any frogs?

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Now the sun is out again.....it is going to be one of those days......the high is supposed to get up to 39* today so it shouldn't be too bad....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

LK, camellias are the most difficult to propogate.. but I will try this year.
Trying to get Rob, Cody's DH to try that too... so I can focus on brugs!!
Ohhh yes I got some frogs!! :D

Trisha, unfortunately we are predicting a late cold spell here too.. so no serious planting till after Easter. So glad you and Laura are through with the old house.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, Trisha... now I feel so guilty for enjoying our 79*...
suppose to rain tomorrow, so I'm playing with plants today so they might get a good soaking tomorrow...
PRAY for rain sistahs... Please... the lake is so low... and we need rain so bad.

Today, I dug up 2 clumps of daiseys, separated them, and replanted them all in one bed with the azaleas. Next year it will be a solid bed of daisies... good ground cover... and evergreen.
Now, that bed is ALL perenials... and that's a good thing.

I also planted my radish seeds today... at the end of the bed in the back along the fence... NO VEGGIE GARDEN yet... but maybe next year.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Brugs? Can i plant them out now we are getting a lite freeze(down to 32/34) tomorrow night and the next night but during the day will be back up to the mid 50's.

Quit smoking today and I need to keep busy want to be planting.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

WEll, we had some stomrs yesterday-had a tornado warning, our grill blew over-I was worried about the propane tank, washed my fabric so I can iron and cut today:)

Sorry to hear about the sick Donna and the down Lisa:(
