Temp is 25 degrees and it is overcast again, but the sun keeps trying to break through. I hope it has more success than yesterday. Very light breeze and the snow➝ice➝rain mess will start late tonight and progress through the day tomorrow. Yuck. May get to the mid 30s this afternoon before the temp starts to go down again. Whoop d do! How many days to spring?

Robin, sorry you are under the weather. My DH has the crude too. But went out to do something...I have totally forgotten what, but he took the dogs. I have been happily reading plant catalogs on line. I am about to get into real plant trouble.

Weather today was gray and 32 to 38, so the wood stove has been going all day. No wind. We are suppose to get rain/sleet tonight, but not the ice that is being predicted for western Ma, Ct and NY. Be safe all. Patti

ICE! Everywhere! Schools closed, luckily the tests I was scheduled to administer were cancelled, so do not have to drive--good thing--it's 122 miles! Whew!

In an advisory now. Trees starting to ice, and the advisory ends at 1 A.M. Thats a long time from now!

My advisory statrted at 7am today and ends tomorrow morning at 5am. At least the birds are happy!

Ice on everything but temp just getting to 32 degrees with rain. About a quarter of an inch of ice here. Should be melting soon I hope, a lot of dripping going on. No wind to speak of is a good thing.

Still a steady rain, but warm at 42 now. Dogs don't want to go out. We are planning on heading to Vt tomorrow, but I will watch this closely as I hate driving in snow and ice. Victor, I hope your wife isn't out in the ice today and that it stays rain. Patti

Just put the kids on the bus. The driver said most of the roads were fine since they were salted. Patti - my wife stayed over at a hotel last night so she did nit have to deal with this in the morning commute - thanks.

Thanks, all, for the well wishes--feeling a bit better today because I actually slept last night. Very icy here--am going to have that chicken soup for lunch--also had it for dinner last night---don't want to cook tonight, so hope there's enough left!
