WOW!! I love the beach and like to vacation there, but would never want to live by one-not with erosion and such...

Wonder if they'll be rebuilding.

Looks like several have been shifted around. Man, just shaking my head.

We heard on the news the other day, that no one will be able to re-build, because of some law from 1959 or something like that. The house's never should have been built in the first place, and now they say, no building with in a certain number of feet to the shore line, and the city/state will give you no compensation for it. So a lot of people are just SOL. I feel sorry for them.

This is the Great room. We gutted this room. And flipped it. I was an add on the the original ranch house.
Yikes, remember now...we run around alot so it is always in a state of clutter, laundry and the front foyer you see at the end serves as DH garage! Always tools, tools and more tool.

Here it the Gallery wall. See the have eagle and woman painting? That was a gift to my Husband and We had no place to place it so, It is because of that painting that we did the gut and remodel. The brick wall was painted white and just ugly so I painted it red brick and all the charcole lines.

That's true LK... Shorelines in Texas are owned by the state... so many feet inland isn't suppose to belong to individuals. If you build on land that is behind that line that belongs to the state, and the shoreline moves inland, you no longer own your land. And, yes... you are SOL... SO, kinda makes me wonder why anyone wants to live that close to shorelines... don't you?

I had about 40 or so eagles on thse shelves. But a person on the overly done side(drunk) Decided to go through that window! and i lost alot of collection.
Was PO'd you bet...And he is still replacing them when i see him. (family member)
