Just got back from fueling up all our vehicles. Gas shot up to 3.99 per gallon and expected to hit 6 this weekend. Luckily there's still one store that's selling it for 3.59. With Ike and Chavez acting crazy, us the little people will be affected.

mmmmm apples...when I talked to my mom last night she was telling me they are goin up to Edwards apple orchard by poplar grove IL up by where we use to live and pick Johnathons the end of the month ...:-( I miss apple orchards down here

id breezy out today and had a lil sprinkle but that is it so far
mom called while I was doing the4 apt cleaning I do on every other Friday all up set saying we had to get plywood and board up the windows the Urbana fire dept had called her twice telling her the reports of the storm and telling her to call us and tell us to get the wood....LOL...my brother is a captain of the department and they were looking at the noaa(?) reports not knowing just where we were to Galveston
So Shelly my daughter called her and explained to her the distance and such from Galveston and I called my brother and gave him the picture too so he could call her to since he got her all upset over it .

now off to go back to work I go jumped on shelly's puter since I went to lunch with her after cleaning.

Just got home from last minute Walmart run, gathering up son and securing his house for the winds...

While I was out, LK called me to tell me she was home from the hospital, has her feet up and sipping Mai Tais, (ok, I made the Mai Tai up)... but she's doing fine, and wanted you all to know... she'll be online tomorrow... she's just going to take it easy the rest of the day.

When I left the house, the sun was out and it was a beautiful day... things have deteriorated since then.. it's gray, and misty, and really yucky out.

I've got my t.v. on the directv channel 361 watching what is happening. Man it's NASTY.

my daughter just called. when the drug store filled the baby's prescription, they put the wrong doseage. the baby was given an adult dose. they are at the hospital now

yes, they are going to let my daughter take her home in about an hour. i can't believe the stupidity of the drug store
