Well, I looked at all the online info I usually look at, and it seems that Ike is going to turn more easterly... the eye seems to be headed between Tyler and Longview. That puts me in a better place, but Phyllis isn't out of the path...

well it is just starting to sprinkle rain and it is getting to be a lil more then just breezy here
DH just came in from sitting on the back porch and said the clouds are moving at a good clip and the winds are coming from the north east.

That is good news for you Brenda, sad for Phyllis, keeping you in my thoughts.

When I went to bed, around midnight, we were still under a Cat 1 Warning... now it looks like we're only getting a TS... BUT Phyllis is going to get the CAT !... and sounds like it's already starting... WOW...

mmm cat 1 does this mean I am getting the cat I wanted to have...LOL....or are we talking Dr. Seuss here ...dang jsut had the name of the story ..the one where mom goes to work and Dr. Seuss and his on wait that was thing 1 and thing 2 darn LOL

Well, you're going to get a cat, but probably not the one you wanted... LOL.

Ike is dying out, so you might only get a TS... but so far, it's a Cat 1, and already starting to bear down on you.... looks like I'm going to get very little of it today... will still get rain and wind, but not anything like what you're going to get.

Well, it's getting light outside and now I can see the leaves moving... so, we are starting to get some winds... but so far, no rain.

good morning. Been up with Debra listening and watching the news. Laid back down and fell back to sleep. Now I'm heading out the door to plant now that BJ and Phyliis has reported in. I know they are ok. I can function today.

ya know it would figure that just as the hibiscus(edible flowers one) that cocoa lulu gave me is just getting ready to bloom this has to come through .....grrrrrr

Don just called to tell me our wind gauge is out of service... so he can't tell online what is happening here at home... darn... that means he'll be calling more often today... he only called about several doz times yesterday... trying to be the "protector" from afar... and doing a mighty fine job of it too.

just talked to my daughter and her friends in Houston that are gettin married nov. 1st are doing okay..we we talkin bout the storm and where it is now in relation to us and she said her tv just went out they are on dish and we are on direct LOL
guess this would be a good day for me to pull out my quilt pieces and start working on it again someday I might have it done has been off and on for a couple years now with pieces of material we swapped in my online group LOL
