The drug needs to be sent the hospital bill.
♥Sweet Interruption♥ 23
Hope it isn't too serious!!! You would think they would be more careful but there sure seems to be of lot of that happening these days. Please keep us posted...babies shouldn't have to go through things like that
That upset me so badly I wrote that wrong. How about sending the hospital bill to the drug store.
my daughter found her passed out on the floor with her eyes rolled back in her head
deb, i knew what you meant. i am very upset
Oh Sis.. praying right now for your precious one.
thanks sis. see? 1000 more gray hairs just today
I definitely hope the pharmacy will have some serious repercussions from this and not just a slap on the wrist! You would think there is something that could be done to keep these things from happening over and over again. I guess at the least we all need to read our prescriptions and make the druggist verify what we are taking and that it is the correct dosage. Your little one is in our prayers!
OMG.... POOR baby... Please let us know how she is !!! That's awful...
Yep, for sure The drugist should pay that bill.
OMG, Kathy. How old is your DGD? That's good news that she's going home.
she will be 2 dec. 15
Thank goodness she is ok.
Sis, that's a big Amen. That druggist should assume responsibility.
Well, I'm not myself today, so I'll be away from the pc for a little while.
A 5 year old little girl, grandaughter to my only friend that I have since I moved here, has been called by our Lord to return home. She was born with complications and was given only a year to live. But, He has been so kind as to let us enjoy her for these 5 years. Her passing away will definitely be missed by so many folks that have been touched by her. Just a month ago, she had started to walk and run, albeit, quite gingerly.
If you could my sistahs, say a prayer for Melanie's parents, Michelle and Daniel.
Melanie has a younger brother Ethan who's 2, and Michelle is pregnant, I think she's 7 months.
sis, am so very sorry. prayers goig to michelle and her family and to you and kel too.
That babies parents are definitely in my prayers, as well as her grandma.. God bless you for being strong for your friend right now.
Praying for that pharmacist too... he should loose his job over that... and I hope your daughter called his supervisor to report that... we trust pharmacists, just like we do doctors... and he definitely should be held responsible. I think I'd probably have him by the collar of his lab coat by now, threatening his life.
Yes Jaye, our prayers to all of you......it is always so much harder when it is a little one.
Oh, I can't imagine that kind of pain. Will keep her family in my prayers. Tell your friend there are many thinking of her.
Oh Jaye,
I'm so sorry to hear that. My heart goes out to you and your friends.
Cindy
Certainly praying for Michelle and Daniel and the rest of the family. I'm so sorry for their loss. Praying for you too, Jaye. I know your heart is broken too.
I am very sorry to hear of your loss.
Prayers going up for you and her family.
Kathy, I'm glad she's doing better!
Jaye, I’m sorry. As you said, at least you got 5 years, but that has to be really hard.
I don't mean to make light of the situation here, the loss of a child is definitely a horrendous thing to go through.
Don just called to tell me a report he got from a reporter friend in Galveston... a guy was going to wait out the storm... the police found him and he refused to leave... so, the cop handed him a Sharpie Marker and told him to write his name and SS# on his arm so they could identify his body after the storm... he didn't say if they guy left or not, but that's real scary..
There's also a tanker out in the gulf that broke down trying to get to safe waters... they've radioed for help... but the coast guard can't get to them... PLEASE keep those people in your prayers too... and their families...
Sounds like they were being realistic. That alone would make most people recognize the seriousness of the situation but what you want to bet the guy is still there. Hope he doesn't end up having to be identified in that way.
What do people think? If I was told there is an almost 100% chance of 20' of water coming my way I'd say "where do I go and how fast can I get there?" lol!
Oh, BJ - it's beginning to sound like the reports coming from Katrina. So scary and heartbreaking.
I'm watching the Weather Channel... not a news channel... but apparently there's a lot they don't report... maybe in time they will.
Don tells me that the huge 61st street pier has collapsed now...
I'm trying to get one of the web cams to load from one of the hotels in Galveston... none of them are working... hmmmm... wonder why?... LOL
Maybe you don't want to see ......
Kathy-get that pharmasist!! You are a southern woman-get the voodoo working!! I am on pins and needles waiting for the chick!! BTW-that is MEEE and apples...LOL
Jaye-((((HUGS)))) and I will be thinking of the family.....
Glad to hear LK is OK....
I am so worried over all of you in TX I haven't eaten yet today......I am about to, but don't know if I can....maybe you Aunties and friends will be good for my waistline-ya think??
BJ, are you still OK? Kathy, I'm sooo glad your dgd is home. That druggist should have to pay the bill out of his own pocket! Then pinch his head off and tell God he died! Seriously, it's bad when that happens to a grown up, let alone a child! I quit one pharmacy because they kept filling my dd's bp meds with the wrong dosage! They doubled it!
Kathy, when a baby chick keeps doodie on its booty, it means it's sick! Ask your friend about what to do for it, if it's not treated it could kill it. I've had them die from it.
NO not Tooty!!! She can't be sick...oh no!!!
All she needs is meds! She does need them, though!
I'm still ok... they're saying that we'll be getting some pretty high winds during the night tonight... we're right in the path of the eye of the storm, and it could still be a Cat 1 when it get's here... so, if I'm not online in the morning... it's because our cable is knocked out, or the power... it's gonna be bad.
Galveston is already suffering some flooding and structure collapses, and the eye hasn't even reached shore yet... they're equating this hurricane to Carla from back in 1961... only because Carla was so large in mass... Alisha did a lot of damage too, but wasn't as wide spread as Ike.
We will watching and praying for all of you!! Stay in touch when you can, we're a bunch of worry warts around here!
BJ, It was Carla I was in when we lived in Brunswick, GA. I told you early, Betsy, but Betsy beat up LA, not the Atlantic coast. Carla devastated Jekell and St. Simons. I remember President Johnson's car and convoy driving by our house.
Y'all think you need to get out from around that lake? Any chance it could rise and come in your house?
Audrey, I agree about the chick maybe sick. Kathy's good friends are vets so I'm sure she'll call them for medication.

has news form channel 11 out of Houston
I agree with everyone go after that pharmacy and the one that filled the prescription he/she would be lucky to be alive right now in my book...I would be finding anything and everything I could out and would be letting even the papers and news stations know of this so no one else gets the wrong info on their meds. and I would make sure to press charges and do my best to make sure this person never is allowed to do that for a living any place else.
....I'm glad she is doing okay now though that is good news
Prayers for Melanie's family too
belated happy birthday Marion!
And prayers for safekeeping for all in Ike's path.
I was 11 when Carla happened... it put a tree though our bathroom... and that tree was my favorite climbing tree... and that is all I remember about Carla... hey, I was just a kid.
No, the lake's dam will be open and draining into the streams that lead to the storage facilities... I'm sure they're adequate to take care of the run off. We're about 20' above the lake level, so the house, my son, my belongings and me are all safe enough from lake waters... Now, my plants on the lower level, I can't even guess what might happen to them.
Phyllis, take care, my friend... we're going to be in for it by morning. But, the worse will be tomorrow afternoon... then... they're forecasting bright sun shiny days Sunday, and the rest of the week... LOL... hard to believe, huh?
BJ, the gnomes will take care of that stuff!
the local stations have us with 60% rain Sunday so we will see but then Ike goes on up north east of us and into Illinois by Sunday night as a TD and I know it has been raining up there the last few days so I hope the winds are gone and it is just rain they deal with up there....so it will be my turn to worry about my folks and brother and family up there as Champaign-Urbana is in the area to get it.
Doug went out today and tied the small trees up a lil more in hopes of saving them from winds some I guess my worry is the pine trees as we have a dead one that needs to come down so I hope it goes in the right direction IF it comes down and Doug was tellin me at supper the neighbor to the south of us has alot of trees with branches that have come down but are caught by another branch so who knows what to expect there
I have some limbs caught by other limbs up high in the trees too... they can become missiles if the wind catches them just right... all I can do is pray they either fall down , or stay put.
