Garden Photos - Part 25

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Shelly that sunset was spectacular!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Ngan, the first pic. is Falstaff (dark red/pink/burgundy?) an Austin... the one next to her is Mardi Gras (J&Perkins) from last year...
oh I am not even spraying for black spot this year... it has been so hot and humid that I have no energy to try... it doesn't seem to really kill the plant... the leaves all come back...so I am taking a new approach this year... just really marking the ones that are really bad and I have prunned 2 that were really bad so I am forcing them to take a break and see what happens... some roses are trully more resistant than others...

the sec pic is Evelyn Rose.. another Austin... smells so good... actually I love her so much I am wearing it! I mean I have the set from CrabbTree & Evelyn... yes, I am pretty pathetic ... smells really rosie good!!!!

and another new rose 'Toscana Vigorosa'. Also spending a year in a pot. Small flowers and tidy ground-cover plant.

Loved seeing all the roses at this time of year--I have like 2 blossoms on William Baffin, & nothing else--oh, yes--I have Carefree Celebration, but that's still in it's pot--too dry & hot to plant anything! Thanks for the lily ID, Pixie! Great sunset shots, Shelly! And Patti--had the funniest pic in my mind of the deer reaching into your lily cages--of course, it's not funny when it's your lily! My Casablancas have serious problems this year--the foliage is yellow, & 1 stalk flopped over---last year the clump was 6ft tall & gorgeous--too good to last! Here is a new DL for me, but will have to move it---too short for where it is.

I have Lemon Queen - it's about 8 feet tall! Hasn't started blooming yet. Still waiting for help for my photo program. How frustrating!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I like that one Robin...looks alot like 'Mardi Gra Parade' one of my favorites. It is a short one though!

My LQ is only about 6' tall but it is only two years old. Just started blooming last week. Nice tall back of the bed plant. Will bloom now through to fall and has nice dark green foliage. I hope you get the photo stuff sorted soon Victor, lots of stuff for you to show us now.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Ngam, that is a beauty. I have planted more roses, but many rugosa that seem less needy. I am not so good at all the work that many roses take. Glad to look at all of the pictures posted here. Kassia has enough for all of us.

Here is Lilium Pink Perfection, which is a Trumpet Lily but not very pink on the back this year. Kind of blah!

But I am doing the happy rain dance right now. I have rain, lovely, steady rain. Patti

Boojum, Is that Monarda Colrain Red with the DL by the orchid barn or who? I finally planted some, but not yet blooming. All so wonderful to see, especially Vt Sweet Clover. Thanks, miss seeing it in person. Patti

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Wonderful DLs Boo. I really like all the strong colors together. Deep vibrant reds and yellows. Nice.
Patti are you getting a lot of rain? It looks like you are on the glide path on the radar. Storms are popping up just east of here. Hope later on we might get some decent amounts of rain.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Beautiful photo's boojum! I'm in love with Vt Sweet Clover..where did you pick that beauty up??

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

We have had some rain in fits and starts today. But not enough to make a difference yet. But beggars can't be choosy. none at the moment. I will take every drop I can get. Patti

Kershaw, SC(Zone 8b)

Taking a break from all of this walking around. I went to the National Botanical gardens...O M G. That is all I can say. I have a 1 GB memory card in my digi cam, I hope that will hold enough of the pics. I am not usually a big fan of orchids, but, WOW. I'm still speachless. And I need to look up where I can find something called Melamar, or Miramar...something like that Spinach. It's this nice growing vine with these reall funky purplish flowers on it...the flowers are held in panicles almost like grape clusters...absolutely stunning. And I found another Colocasia I need to get called 'Stingray.' The list grows on... I will post the pics on a seperate thread when I get back.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

lol Thom..glad you having a good time!
I see you found MJ's listing too! Leave that top one alone! Hee hee he

Kershaw, SC(Zone 8b)

I won't touch that one, specifically becaues of the person who bid on it...lol. The others, muahahah...lol.

They posted a few others ones as I was bidding!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Going to look!
I looked...she has one named for Theresa...I think im going to cry.
