Nice, D300?? ☺

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No - the 'old' Sony. Only took two D300 pics so far! Both kids.

Yesterday's white Oriental ....

Doesn't show up well against a white house, I guess!

Thanks candyce and victor! I've been putting in Really long days (12-16hr. at work) or pet/garden sitting when i've only been working 10 hr. days. But, I'm trying to keep up with DG, but the yard is a mess!

Nice brunnera

I agree! I love that plant. I can't wait until mine gets that large, well hopefully gets that large.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, WC. I like Brunnera too. Have to get some.

Hosta... I think that this is either "strip tease" or "stilletto". they have both somewhere in the yard.

I like both names.

astilbe with maiden hair fern behind it. (I think, not sure I paid attention to what kind of fern in the picture)

I'm not sure, but I think that thing is some sort of podophyllum. If someone has another guess, let me know!

Thumbnail by redchic01

Looks like it, but wow, so big!

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

that's why I'm confused by it. I've never been there when it's in flowr to know for sure. I'll post the normal sized podo below.

Great RC glad to have you back.
And now if Debbilu would surface everything would be cozy.

love that over sized plant RC

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Great gardens RC

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

haha, it's good to surface for a while. It'll likely only last for a few days though. Not sure about Debilu. There's bunches of new (to me) folks that have shown up in the last few weeks. It's fun.

I think that I could make a sort of game out of some of these pictures. Instead of playing where's Waldo, make it where's "this particular plant" or something like that. Would anyone else be nervous taking care of this place? or is it just me. Anything that can be grown from seed is, and they have a little 75' X75: area that is all designated to the seedlings still in pots.... there's thousands of pots!!

I found Podophyllum hexandrum.
Knew I had seen it somewhere.
Seneca Hill Nursery.Might have to have one.

Cool! I like that one. It does not die back like the others, I believe. Want that one.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

It is really cool. I would never have considered anything like that until DG. Thanks Dave and thanks all of you.
A new dimention to my retirement and DD and SIL also like it too.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

that's a cool looking podophyllum. The fact that it doesn't die back would make it worth it.

I wish that I could claim this garden JoAnn! But, I definitely don't have much to do with it other than keeping maintaned for a week or two here and there.

I agree that you have a beautiful garden to take care of for your friends. It looks so rich and lush. It is in dappled sun / shade, right?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - great garden. If I 'minded' it, some plants would come home with me!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

LOL
I was thinking the very same thing!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Replaced with a nice silk flowered one?

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

They'll never know the difference

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

haha.. You're right. It's Very Tempting.

Candyce, you're right on that it's all shade with the exception of a small corner that gets dappled sun. Surprisingly enough, they get quite a bit to bloom though. Sometimes it just takes a while.
