Wow - Allison that lily is incredible. And it's not staked??!! Thanks Bill - quite green at this point. Do you think it would be pinker if it were getting more sun?
Garden Photos - Part 25
You can grow Hybrid Teas here with protection and by burying the bud union a few inches under ground. Has this rose spent a winter in your garden.? Does it have a fragrance? Are the leaves mate or glossy? Are they dark green or medium green? Does this rose rebloom? You can use the search engine tab on the right side of this site HMF to use different criteria to narrow your search. http://www.helpmefind.com/plant/index.php?tab=5
Seems when I search tall, red, thornless I only get two options 'Camillo Schneider' and 'Escort'
Wouldn't that be nice if it were Camillo Schneider ..... I cannot find any info on that one, must be rare.
It has grown in the yard well over 15 years now. It is fragrant and has more medium green than darker green, matte leaves. I believe it does rebloom, but not 100% sure of that.
Two brands come to mind when I hear "thornless" roses.
Smooth Touch:

Kordes:

I thought the tallll lily was Conca dor too.
At first looked like White Henri but I have that and the pollun "things" are dark not yellow like Conca's.
Jo Ann my 'Conca d'Or' has dark stamens but it is up facing not out as both of there's is.
Maybe "Honeymoon" then...http://buggycrazy.vstore.ca/product_info.php/pName/honeymoon-soldout/cName/lily-bulbs-ot-hybrids-orienpets
You are right Pixie.I''ll bow out and not make more confusion than there already is.
No confusion...it was YOU who got me to look again and realize I was wrong and that they have out-facing blooms not up. ^_^
Crap....could be 'Manisa' as it looks alot like Conca d' Or but bigger and flowers in July!!

WillieB I came up with the same. There are probably others out there but the thornless thing cuts out a lot of them. It does sound like a HT because of the long stem single flower, and since it is hardy the Kordes CS seems like a good fit. There are so many red roses out there. Maybe you could ask on a forum specific to roses where there are a lot of people much more knowledgeable than me.
victor - i don't think so - from all that have it this is how it changes color - suppose to have good fall color - deep burgandy i believe.
new liliies that opened today... really interesting ones... I still have no idea where they came from...
Nice lilies Kassia.
Dyane very pretty pics. Like the summer sweet bush and ribbon grass. Congrats on your first hummer sighting! They must think you are doing a good job too.
Dyan Love the canna alas mine are going out of bloom, nice to see them continue this way.
Kassia, the picture with the oops looks like 'Fruit Loops" and im pretty sure your orange double one is 'Kwanso'.
Dyane I like Clethra Summersweet Ruby Spice, very pretty color. The Phlox & Hyran. look great together.
Very nice, Kass and Dyane. Clethra is one of my faves. I have Rosea. It's one of the few fragrant plants that literally fills the garden - even in the daytime.
Waiting to post some photos from my new camera but when I first attempted to download the first pics yesterday, my photo manager program died. So I still have not seen any photos on the computer yet! Still waiting to hear from them about re-installing. That's the downside to downloading software instead of having a cd.
Shocking seems to be quite popular.
It is, along with 'Touching' and it's sometimes hard to tell the difference.

Yes, they're very close.
Wow, that's nice. What is it? I would called it Spilled Wine.
I have that one - very nice.
