South China, ME(Zone 5a)

It's beautiful Dawn!! There's color every where you look! You must be so happy and very proud!!!!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Needs more clems!^_^

Oh BTW your DL looks like 'Bonanza' http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/8328/

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

Thanks everyone. I'm loving the fragrance of the Clethra. It's nice to have a later summer blooming shrub in the yard. Most of mine bloom in spring or early summer.
Those Shocking, Touching, Red Dutch Lilies sure are popular. My NOID must be one of those. I'm torn between Red Dutch and Touching. Leaning towards Red Dutch.

All these lilies, my goodness people. Just beautiful, every one's garden must smell delightful if not down right head spinning right now.
Dawn your garden is just perfect. I envy your fences filled with clems. I am still waiting for first Goldrush Daisy bloom here, maybe tomorrow. They are going to be my favs too I think, so pretty. The coreopsis 'Moonbeam' and campanulas are a really nice pair, I might steal that idea if you don't mind. :)

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

Dawn, your yard is a beautiful sight. I love those Daisies too.
Here's a Monarda. Purchased as 'Scarlet Bee Balm'. I planted them as bare roots. I think I may have pulled the others as 'weeds'. This is the only one that survived in that patch. I think they look a little menacing. Like a weapon?

My clethra should be blooming soon. They pick up the fragrance as the lilies tail off. Then I get the fragrant hostas going.

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

Double Impatiens still going strong.

The coreopsis and campanulas are a really nice pair...like it better than mine! LOL I have the pink coreopsis 'Rosea' with the exact same capuanula.

What in the world did you redchick and onewish feed those lillies????? Munster Cheese? Those pics are enuff to knock your socks off.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

These two lilies are supposed to be Moonlight strain from B&D
Obviously only the first one is. The third MS didn't bloom (first year) for all.
I love the green vains at the back of the petals, this lily is really more chartruse than yellow

Beautiful Jo Ann!! I bet they smell good too!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Not as overpowering as one might expect.
Don't know if its because there aren't very many of them or what.
Casablanca blooms in a few days ,that should be fragrant.
I have to get up close and sniff to smell the bloomers now.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Nice shots JoAnne. The first one really stands out, I like it. Waiting for my Casablancas too. Moved them last fall so most of the lilies would be together. Makes it easier to hunt for the dreaded red lily beetle. They still got some holes in the leaves but much better than before, they were in another bed and sometimes got left out of the morning beetle check.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks I love the lilies.
Havn't had beetles that bad, just one or two so I sprayed w/ Bonide(i'm sure it's outlawed, but we have an old bottle so were using it) can't find Nheem oil anywhere.I also use it for other pests like JB's and bugs that put holes in my Ligularia and Hostas.

Your roses are truely wonderful.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Love those roses Kassia. Who is in the first pic? Took out a lot of mine this year, got tired of dealing with blackspot and the battle with bugs. Still have some left, couldn't be without any roses. Here's James Galway.
Love those dark coleus, that's a beauty.

ge1836, I have gotten neem oil at Agway and at a my regular little nursery in Vt. It is an organic product from a tropical tree. It is sold in health food stores for human use (don't know for what), but you want to get it from a garden center. But any garden center should have it. Try with their fungicides and insecticides. Some products are a mixture of neem and some other products. Just get something with a high percentage of neem. Your white Henryi is lovely. I neeeeeeeed one (or many) of those.

ngam, I had to move some CasaB's a couple of years ago. They never missed a beat save they were a tad shorter the following year, but only for that one year. I moved them in bloom. Me Bad, but we had put up a new deer fence and some came up on the wrong side of the fence and would have be munched. I use to keep the few lilies I grew in cages. It looked horrible and the deer would just wait until they bloomed and stick their heads down inside the cages for a snack. Now I battle the bunnies who eat through the deer fence to eat the newly emerging lilies. We spray, but they do manage on getting too many each year. Thanks for the compliments on the garden. Out to weed or there will be no rave reviews. I have had no energy with the humidity.

OMG it is sprinkling. We are desperate for rain. But I fear it is just a tease. Patti
