David--Yeppers that is the one.
Victor...was that a good thing or a bad thing?
I saw it at the Botanical Gardens. They have these huge ceramic pots with these large trellises and the m. spinach was growing up the trellises. They were stunning.
Garden Photos - Part 25
It was nice. I just grew it as an unusual ornamental.
Victor, this is what I was telling Thom I need.

Very nice.
Look at the entire thread that came off....I own a few of here DL's but not nearly enough. lol
Oh glad to see you found a way Victor. Love that first lily shot with the light coming through. Very nice. That DF is really nice what do you mean not too clear...I can see the twinkle in his eye,
Thanks, Pat.

looking good so far Victor... what kind of camera did you pick up?
Thanks ladies. It's a Nikon D300, Allison. With the lens that came with it, I can only get about 15-18 inches away and then have to zoom in for a close shot. I like being able to get real close. So far it's my only complaint and it's not a problem with the camera, but with the included lens. The color reproduction, auto white balance, etc., is fantastic. There were many flower colors that I just could not get on my Sony point and shoot. Also the speed is phenomenal - no more waiting for anything. Still have so much to learn. Everything is on auto now as I'm just getting my feet wet.
Nice shots Victor!! I like that Snow Queen and the lily of course!
You are going to have fun with that camera, Victor!
We're going to have fun seeing his pics!
nice Victor.... that one puts mine to shame... my auto can be slow to respond.... but yours shouldn't be... good luck with it.. can't wait to see what you come up with now
I like that zinnia too Jen
Posted this on Edibles but what the heck.
Need to know when to do a second planting of shell peas.?
7 - 10 weeks before the end of the growing season?
I think that is how long they take to fruit.
Depending on the variety, I presume.
Thanks WNY
The Cornell Site has some interesting info on peas ...

Another site:
Peas grow best in slightly acidic, well drained soil. A few successive plantings can be made at 10 day intervals although the later plantings do not provide as great a yield as the earlier ones. Planting may be resumed as the cool weather of autumn approaches, but the yield is seldom as satisfactory as that from the spring planting.

Oh I get so excited when I check this thread - I just love the photo's of all the blooms!
ngam - I just love your shot of the blooming hosta! Very pretty!
boojum - your daylily areas are just beautiful - so many varieties and pretty colours!
Victorgardener - Oh I just love dragonflies and that photo is soooo cool! Great Lilies too!!!
Geez, I really need to work on my flower timing. Lot at all your stuff! And here you can see mine is just now beginning to pop. Finally.
This bed is in front of my waterfall/stream. Almost all the rudbeckia are reseeds from laster year. I even thinned it, believe it or not. And interesting that the white globe thistle starts before the purple (which is in the back).
No, not the best picture given the shade line, but I don't always get out there to take pictures. Oh well.
