Today's Weather in Your Garden - 9

36 here. Tomorrow we "MIGHT" hit around 50. So I am jealous again!!!!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

54, with a high of 62. A little cloudy, but I think after I see the dentist, I will take my new lens out for a walk in the park.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

42 and cloudy now. 50's later.

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

Yea, Deb's gonna have pictures for us! Get some good ones - remember the book "And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street"?

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

High 40s when I left for work this morning . . . I sure hope all the snow doesn't melt and then we are hit by a hard frost . . . .

Have a great day everyone!

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Hey, I know where Mulberry Street is - the Dr. Zuess one - it's just a few blocks from where I live :-)

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

Did you block that one off, too?

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

I have some grass visible on my lawn today, rain with possible thunder today.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Not a speck of snow to be seen here. Looks like a great week with mild temperatures. It's 48 now, per Weatherbug.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Deb - don't forget to post some photos from your walk on the "What did you see on your walk" thread.....we need some views from other walkers too!! LOL

Happy Warm-Up to all my NE friends!!! You all deserve a good Thaw!!

(72 here tonight) (she says sheepishly)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

We were well up into the 50's. Higher tomorrow!

Walpole, NH(Zone 5a)

Temp. reached 45 today, a lot of the snow is gone from the driveway. Maybe 50's tomorow.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I plan to be outside all day tomorrow. Yipee! If I can clean just one garden it's worth it to me.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Welcome, bensen!! We're glad to have some more NH representation in the NE Forum!! So glad to hear you're having warmer temps there. Were you outside in your shorts weeding under the snow??? LOL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Any candidates ringing your doorbell, bensen?!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

We hit 40 today and tonight is only going down to 33! I can deal with this!!!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Awesome, Celeste! Enjoy every minute of it!!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

We had a high of 62, with 64 tomorrow, then back to the 40's. Winter is going to feel so cold when it comes back.
edited to add: it is still 61 out now.

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

very dense and warm out tonight. according to NPR, New Haven and Fairfield counties have a bad air alert until Wednesday - i thought those were only in the summertime...

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

63, with a high of 70 today, but rain in the forecast. My morning walk was very mild.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

46 now, going to 58. I hope it doesn't rain.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

I spent 5 hours doing yard work yesterday and plan on cramming in at least 6 more today. Does anyone else remember the freakishly warm weather last year at this time? I'm just hoping we don't have that late spring freeze that took 1/2 my lilac blooms like last year.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Yes, Louise, I remember it quite clearly. It was very warm and the beach was packed on Jan. 12th when it was 70 degrees out here. By the 14th it was rainy and then came winter.

I was out weeding yesterday and will be out today enjoying this great weather and the sunshine.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh my goodness, It's 41 degree's!!!!!!! We are expected to reach a high of 52 today! Where are my shorts and sandals??
OK, Sandals might be stretching it a bit!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Freaky stuff. yes, I remember last year. I think it's what killed my koi - the sudden plummet and sustained cold.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'm planting tomatoes tomorrow.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Did you plant the bacon and lettuce yet?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Already harvesting.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - even tornadoes in WI today! Any near you Al? Hope not.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

No - south of Milwaukee even. I feel a little cheated that our highest temp in this stretch was only 42.

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

I'm not sure what the temp is right now - sun is on the thermometer on the deck and that says 70!!! I'll go look at the other one - be right back!! Didn't even know I was gone did you?? The one on the north side of the house says 55! It is sunny and warm and beautiful except for the snow on the ground!! I just came in from walking around the yard and it felt like spring!! We have no bare spots here yet but the snow is melting off of the roof, driveway, and roads!! Ok, so when is it going to get cold again? I will enjoy the nice weather until it does get colder and colder and colder!! Eleanor

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

How wonderful that you are all having such nice temps!! It didn't feel very good when I was down here in great weather and the rest of you were in such cold weather. Enjoy, everyone!!!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

The high for the day was 56 but I felt it was warmer. I worked on weeding and cutting back in just one garden for 6.5 hours, most of the time in just a turtleneck - no jacket.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

You're a trooper, Pirl!

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Hit 70 here. Worked in t-shirt and capris. I still got overheated. It was nice.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No shorts?

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

I considered it, but the roses were in attack mode.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Well the sign at the bank (yes we actually have a bank) said 58 today and I for one felt wonderful. Brian, Josh, Mallory & I went out to Longhorns for lunch then a long walk to get rid of the over-full feeling. Long for Brian these days is about the length of a HD, so he sat on a bench while the rest of us booggied around the park like fools. I loved it!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

HD=Home Depot, or hot dog?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Home Depot you hot dog!
