Today's Weather in Your Garden - 9

Last one was getting long and it's appropriate to have a new weather thread as we start a new year. Happy New Year to all! Let's hope Celeste gets a break from snow and everyone gets some nice weather in the new year.

Yes! I'll download the photos and see how well I did without wearing any jacket at all. It was a beautiful day.

I've been told that we had them out around Christmas in this area one year.

We had snow this morning - and it's been melting ever since then.

It's happened many times, Victor.

Here's the photo - not sharp but I was cool in the shade.

Wow. It surely must have happened last year. If it's followed by freezing weather, what happens? No second bloom I assume.

Not for the buds that opened but the rest of the plant does bloom.

Celeste, I love your tree photos - it looks like they have claws! That's about the only thing I like about snow, is how beautiful it is on trees.

When I was a kid, we couldn't wait to go out after a storm to play in the "fairy houses" - that's the space under the heavy, snow-laden branches. We had a blast!

Bought a new mailbox but don't want to put it up until spring. However, if the white stuff doesn't stop soon, I won't be able to find the old one.

I normally take this down and store it for the winter. In my haste, it was over looked this fall. Works out well as I can tell how much snow we got!

Is it a snow "tree" with a corn hat?

I have been using the bird feeders to measure. We had 9" and we had to dig out early so my DD and fiance could get back to Boston and fly back to CA. We were all working madly at 7 AM.

Here I am snowshoeing this afternoon. Pixie, we have the same forecast.

Hmmm HELLO!!! Are you serious?? I have no garden right now!!! LOL. It is all under 2-3 feet of snow! Nothing new to report here.....still waiting for April....

Yes, the one and only. When you only have a 30" inseam and the snow is closing in on that, it's too much!

They changed out snowfall tonight from 5-8"...we can expect 8-12". That last 12" may bury the 30" inseam!

Don't forget to add snowshoes to the bottom of them!

Maybe you can go on eBay and get a good old-fashioned torture rack and streeeeetch your legs!

Well, the Boston Ch. 5 (WCVB) website said 100% rain today. They goofed - it's been snowing for a few hours, even though the temp here is 34!

30 inch inseam seems high for that size. You must be all legs - that would make the splits more impressive!

All I know is I wear mens Levi's and my length is 30", now my oldest brother wears a 36" length and they BARELY touch the top of his shoes!! LOL

I think Victor has a thing for long legs.
