Great winter pics all, make ya go brrrr...Sunny to mostly cloudy today and we only got 4" of the cement snow yesterday but it was enough to take out the power all day, went out at 8am, finally came back on at 6pm. Creeping up to freezing now so I hope a little melting might take place. Here is a pic of potted spring against the cold hard reality outside.

That's a lot of snow Celeste. Did you have damage? I know Andy did.

The tree branch's are struggling today. I was trying to look into the woods....wasn't happening.

I am so far behind on all of the threads - Colin's been keeping me busy. Thanks for all of the comments on my cardinal pic. Now, if I only had a camera that I could zoom in and get an even better shot. I just got binoculars and I'm thrilled to see the birds up close and would love to take pics showing them up close!! Eleanor - I LOVE your cardinal in snow pic! That would make a perfect Christmas card next year! I especially like seeing that other little bird as well.

We have a fire going in our Florida fireplace tonight.....LOL (Couple of wimps, huh? I'm sure that's what you people are saying!! HA.... It isn't for any warmth.....just for atmosphere. It feels crisp and fallish here today.

30 now but 26 with WC. Going up to around 40 but lots of sunshine. I may get that compost on the asparagus garden yet!

We went out walking in the rain this morning.....it was coming down pretty hard by the time we got back home.......Now the humidity is back and we are heading out for another walk with Miss Molly. 72 degrees and 60% humidity right now.......

All our snow melted :-(

Briefly home here between plowing, we had about 5" of snow today and now the wind has picked up and the temp is dropping.

Wow Al, all I can say is im sorry and really do know how you feel! We have snow for tonight and tomorrow morning. Then turning into sleet and eventually freezing rain.

You know, we don't have a ton of snow on the ground right now because we had a January thaw, but as of right now we have set a snowfall record for the month of January.

Al - my first reaction to the photo was "Ansel Adams". Wonderful!

I have no idea Al...I know places in Maine got 54" in Dec. with the Mountains getting 70+" but for Jan. im not sure. I doubt it will be anywhere near that...at least I hope not!
