Gillian, won't it be fun having your 'haunted house' evening..bet the kids are so excited..Ella, well guess she'll go with the flow..lol...
Must be difficult though when organizing such an event in a small community such as yours that when it comes to the guest list you almost have to invite everyone...
Rain is still better than snow though...I MUST store everything tomorrow for winter..keep wanting it just one more day, but, tomorrow will be d-day...perhaps I'd better drop in and get Vitamin D as well..I've been very lucky, I don't take any kind of medication (even when perscribed which is rarely)..I do notice though with it being dark in the am and pm when I arrive home, that it zaps all my energy and I just feel like going to bed..got to be lazy sometimes though...
Just had a call from one of the girls who comes to '1 day workshop' make and take and asked if I had my date...first one is Nov.10th, next one Nov.11th. so I must get the project and supplies underway..Lee usually brings about 5 girls with her..really should rent the community center so I can accommodate everyone...
St. Anthony did his job...found the snowman, found a Christmas village and an ornament holder...I've just sealed it all, am hoping to get everything base coated ready to paint and then I can do so at my leisure...
So off I go...hope you are all tucked in out of the cold..talk later..
Best/Worse and What did I learn today? Friends pt.17
Hi All. I am SO exhausted today! I woke up at 6 becaue DS wasn't feeling well and wanted some allergy meds. Got back to sleep and luckily, Murphy didn't wake up! Got back up at 8:00 so I could take DS up to the "doc in a box" med center. He had the start of an ear infection so they gave him antibiotics. No strep though!! Went to the grocery store while out and got back home around 11:00. Unloaded groceries then shanged into "yard clothes".
Headed out to the yard and got DH to do "poop patrol" in the back yard so we could cut the grass. While he was doing that, I pulled everything out of my garden and tilled it all under. Man was it dusty since we haven't had rain!! I had dust all up my nose! Cut back the perennials that had died back. Headed to Lowes to buy burlap, stakes, top soil and mulch. I am going to finally try and protect my hydrangas and gardenias this winter so I can get blooms next year! I'm going to wrap the burlap around the stakes around each bush and then fill it with leaves. Hopefully that will work.
Saw that my neighbor was having his yard airated (sp?) so I went over and asked them to do my front yard for $20. They did so for the first time, my yard will be able to breathe! I put down some grass seend and watered everything - which is not eacy since I don't have an irrigation system and only 1 hose in the front yard. Finally got into the house to shower around 5:00.
We're getting up early tomorrow and heading up to Charlottesville to go apple picking. We try to go every year. I bought the stuff for apple pies today so hopefully, I can get some good ones for that! We're taking Murphy which will be bittersweet as we always took our old goldern Hobbes. I will try to take some pictures and post them. It is so beautiful up there!!!
Well, I'm off to find some advil and a pillow. Y'alll have a wonderful evering and I'll chat at ya tomorrow!!
Cheers!!
J
Goodness Jeannine, no wonder you are off to bed..what a day..sure hope DS is feeling better tonight...apple pies, can smell them cooking from here...now how can you possibly get a job when your days are so filled..you must come up with something that will allow you to stay home...don't know how you can add a job to your day...$20.00 doesn't sound like much does it to have yard airated?? Have fun tomorrow, looking forward to photo's...know it will be hard for you all but think of the fun times you had with Hobbes joining you..you can tell Murphy all about it...
Am off to bed, just started a new thread for those with dial up..you can now find us here...

Guys years ago i had walking pnumonia and now I have had chest pains for a month, I haven't felt that great but I don't think it is a heart attack or angina though it is possible. I just started really feeling that though I can breath a full breath, my chest is tight and I have to breath real deep to feel like I'm getting enough o2. Do you think it is allergies? I have fall allergies the worst.
