Soft and crisp morning. (Sounds like pastry) Whisper of a breeze. The mist is rising slowly off the bay. 41 degrees this am. Supposed to get to the high seventies. Another spectacular day. Everyone enjoy.
Today's Weather in Your Garden 2
Spectacular day! 74 and blue skies now. Got some work done - weeding and transplanting. As much as I could before my back and five year old son starting acting up.
Great day here. I was out by 10 and back in after 6. Another day just like today predicted for Friday........and Saturday.........warmer on Sunday.
Nice day, got to be around 60, sun put in appearance mid afternoon and is going down now.
Beautiful day here. I finished throwing out annuals from my containers :-(
It was kinda sad to do, but such a nice day to clean the pots out and dry them. I was able to collect my first seeds ever (four o'clocks and tree mallows). Everything dryed completely and got packed away in the storage shed. DH will have to water just the gardens while I'm on vacation next week and my BESV which I'm saving to collect seeds from. I left two hanging mum baskets out front for the season of course. Hope next week is this nice. Eleanor
It is 54 degree's here this morning! Predicted to get to 79-82 today!!
I get to finish digging all those DL....the bed is almost cleaned out!!
78 and sunny today! if you want me I'll be in the pool :0) it's 62 already at 7:12 a.m.
I've finished planting my roses. Just have a couple of perennials to put in. I'm digging in some peat around my heather. I saw a show on HGTV with an older lady (yes Al, older than me!) who grows heathers and she said all they need is peat. mine are doing ok but they could sure use a boost. my awful clay soil is surely not their natural habitat.
53 here. Supposed to be sunny and 78. 82 and humid for the weekend!
60, sunny, perfect.
What a nice 'broken record' this week, isn't it?
I'm just loving it!! As long as it doesn't dip near frost temperatures overnight, I feel wonderful!!
This AM it showed a wonderful 39 degrees on the thermometer. Lots of sun will be in the offing. I watered yesterday, so I think that things can go a day without the moisture. I just want to take the little DGD outside and play!!

Hard to believe it. I'll be out at 8:36.
I like broken records! Grin
Big heat wave this am, about 20 degrees warmer than the last few mornings. Already 54 steaming degrees. Going up to 80s, no rain this weekend now, more watering. :(
ngam:
I think we'll be watering for a while. I didn't see much in the way of substantial rain in the forecast.
Awesome day!
It's 70 degrees and gorgeous!!!!
Love the watering, hate the price! Love the rainbows, backsplash, birds twittering and darting in for a drink/shower, being up close and personnal with my plants, and on super hot days love to turn the nozzle upward and feel the "hosedrops". It's 30 degrees warmer than the early am. The sun is sizzling hot - definately a hosedrop day. :)
Hit 80 here. Felt pretty hot.
Gorgeous in our area today, right Candyce? We're having a big gathering on Saturday for a group of old friends from Connecticut - weather looks pretty good except perhaps a shower in the afternoon. My sweet DH repaired my garden sink and repainted the cabinet for me today while I was busy inside. What a nice treat when I went up to the garden. I think he was embarrassed by its shabby appearance....LOL 60 degrees as I write this....no need for heat tonight! I confess I did have to turn the heat to 55 degrees the other night.....pretty chilly. And I did wear a jacket when we walked this morning. We harvested our one pumpkin and set him on the front steps with some corn shucks. Hope the forecast holds for Saturday! Horseshoes, croquet, closest to the pin golf contest, just sitting around the outdoor fireplace for the weary, lots of food....need some sunshine!! :)
I have a family picnic for Saturday. Forecast is for 80 - 85 and humid. Yuck.
Been loving these clear sunny days - makes my solar panels very useful!
Block party down the street set for Sunday at 2 PM. Weather looks good for it.
What fun, Pirl! We have block parties in our Fla. neighborhood......very fun! Enjoy!
We will. The same person hosts it every year and it's lots of fun.
4 mil!
Well, you had 4 mil and 4 - I wonder who had 4 mil - and what forum . . . Anyone know?
I hope it is going to be really nice today like yesterday. I was going to spend yesterday outside doing some gardenig and planting bulbs but ended up sitting inside waiting for a phone call. I was doing some errands in the AM, buying some pumpkins, mums, and bulbs and missed a call that DD#1 's storage came in that I bought her (just a little 6X5 unit). I called them back but had to leave a voice mail. I waited until 3:45 pm for them to get back to me but they could load it on the trailer right away and take it to her place. She was so excited, within a half hour after she got home she had her things in it :-) !! She appreciates the things I do for so much and DD#2 is the complete opposite. I had their pool filled in for the for the safety of Colin and there the dirt sits two months later - DSIL has been home for the past 2 months and could have put in a lawn and kept it watered so that next summer Colin would have had a lawn to play on. How could I have had two children that are SO DIFFERENT ????? Well any way, after all that rambling, I want to get out in the garden and work and get the bulbs planted. Eleanor
Michaela, Al hit the 4 mil on the lets do it thread.
Louise:
From what I hear, only the parts north of us will get any type of rain this weekend, so you should be safe for your gathering. How nice of your DH to do that 'little bit of sprucing up' for you!!!
Here in the good old Monadnock Region it's a balmy 52 degrees and very dark still.
Congrats to Al on hitting post #4, 000,000
54 here this morning and the sun is burning off the fog. Another beautiful day in Maine with a high of 75.
Waiting for the sunshine but another beautiful day and I'm ready for it.
I'm ready, too, pirl. 57 this morning and an 'unseasonably warm' 85 is predicted. spent a couple hours in the pool yesterday and plan to do the same this afternoon. this morning is for gardening. I think today is a good day to put down the milky spore. I'm sick of Japanese beetles in spite of the article Victor posted. I'm sure there are plenty of them to combat whatever evil bug that was.
I'm ready for it too - unfortunately, I have to work so I won't be able to truly enjoy it!
57 - another sunny one. Should hit 80 again.
Takes longer and longer for the sun to get above the trees now. Even on the south side doesn't clear them until afternoon. A balmy 54 here on its way to 80s again. If we could get some overnight rains this would be such perfect late summer/ fall weather.
Sounds like some tall trees!
I know what you mean about the sun. It doesn't hit our 'show' garden until early afternoon anymore!!
OK, it's almowst 9 PM .... do you know where your blossoms are?
It's a beautiful 63 degrees outside! Let's go play with the night creatures!!!!!!!
61 degrees here on the hill......What creatures are you going out to play with ???
In the 80's bright and sunny.
I'm really popping in to say Hi! to all of you. There is no new info in this reply. Early am will be crisp, making that first cup of cofee taste a little better, and the day will progress to perfection - bright sunshine and pleasant breeze. A day full of energy and awe, and another week of same predicted. I am starting to be concerned about the effect this lack of rain will have in the spring, but sure am lovin each day, have a good one. :)
