Pretty self explanatory. Highs and lows are nice when you can.

Was at a family picnic on LI today - was hot but there was a great breeze. Was certiaily over 90.

Today's weather was nice - just in the middle so to speak - not too hot and not too cool. Good weather for me anyhow!

I am done with my gadening now - really - I am not lying this time LOL.... I planted my bulbs and the few new plants I planted the other day. Everything seems to be doing fine after divisions etc! I chopped off my daylilies today and added that to compost. All is looking good in my garden even if it is pretty bare looking right now.

Yesterday was so sticky. I had Colin so I only worked outside for a while when he was in for a morning nap. No rain. I got so excited last night cause I heard "thunder" and shut down the computer and turned off the AC. It was only FIREWORKS!! Eleanor

Yesterday was more of the same, brilliant sunshine, high 80's, pleasant breeze, just increased humidity. Right now it is 73. I'm not sure of the humidity (haven't gone out yet) but there has been lightening throughout the night. No rain, not even a sniff. I love the smell of rain on it's way. Joining in the dance, and hoping we all get rain.

74 and very muggy here at 9:30. Still hoping for rain. Pirl, I was at Bar Beach on the North Shore in Nassau.

Waaaa!!! Still no rain, got to around 10 miles away and that's it. Overcast, dead calm and muggy. Only about 65 right now. Another small chance for a shower today, here's hoping.

Bummer! Just heard that we'll get no rain from Gabrielle. Maybe a passing T-storm tomorrow. This is getting ridiculous. Muggy the next few days. The grass was crunchy on LI yesterday and people were doing open fires.

Victor - is that the one near Huntington? What idiots to start fires! This world needs much more respect for others and far less self-indulgence.

It's 63 and has been raining steady since 1:00pm......I actually heard my gardens say "AHHHHHHH"

You and I have a 26 degree difference in temps right now. We were 85-89 yesterday and Friday, but it cooled off during the night.

Hi folks - it POURED rain here last night.

All the plants got a real, good, soaking. Much cooler today, cloudy. I was able to work outside all day - though it was humid at times, there was the occasional breeze.

Okay - it can pour all week, but I want clear skies for Friday and Saturday. We have people coming over!

If the rain could wait until noon I'd be thrilled but if not I guess I'll sleep late. Beautiful day here but a bit hot for this time of year - it got up to 84 degrees today but with a nice cool breeze.

It has been raining steady since 1 this afternoon, I really am so thankful for this rain. Makes me deathly afraid of fire when it's this dry, and every state has a dummy who will throw a match.

Checked the rain gauge - a whole 1/4 inch of rain!! WOW - at this rate I'll have to water the gardens while it is raining!! It is still raining lightly this morning. It will need to keep raining for several days to get everything well watered. Eleanor

Overcast right now but 67 degrees with rain predicted for tomorrow, hurray!

ahhh..Bar Harbor - I grew up in that neck of the woods. We used to call it Tar Harbor when I was a teenager. I remember driving my friends to that beach in my parents station wagon.

74 and 90% humidity. Gross. Got a sprinkle overnight and supposed to get some rain on and off today and steadier tonight and tomorrow.

59 now, rained steady from 1pm -10:00pm yesterday and has been raining on and off all morning. I noticed a lot of my plants are standing straight today, except the delicate ones that were beaten down by the rain.

No rain yet, zilch, nada, nothing. :( The sun is burning though the low overcast now, 64 with a light breeze. Chance for rain again this afternoon and tomorrow am.

Having a brief downpour now!! We'll see how long it lasts. Of course it started when I was getting my son off the Kindergarten bus.

We had at least 20 seconds of rain. By the time I walked to pick up my tools the rain had ended.

We had about a half inch of much needed rain, too. That would be yesterday and then a bit more overnight.

Today is is very overcast, damp, and cool ~ just 62 degrees right now. I thought of Louise as I was starting the woodstove to keep the dampness at bay.

Raining, cloudy and Damp! Poor lawn took a hit.

The lawn is not complaing. It is still raining. The bugs are starting to howl thou.

Dark overcast again and still not a darn drop. Not a happy camper here. :(

Hopefully you'll get something between now and tomorrow.

My rainy day "to do" list is too long. We need at least two days of constant slow and steady rain.
