Went down to 45 overnight. 56 and sunny now. Looks beautiful.
Today's Weather in Your Garden 2
No talk of frost here yet, but it sure seems cold. 58 right now. It's a gorgeous day and the wind has finally let up. It's been brutal all week. We have all kinds of interesting things at the bottom of the pool. I have some planting to do but I'm waiting for midday when it's a little warmer and things aren't so damp.
Looks like mid-70's and sun by the middle of the week...sounds good!
Sherrie some of your early birds have aleready arrived. (didn't intend that as a pun but I like it). Definately changes starting in the waterfowl population on the bay.
11 AM, and it's a balmy 53 degrees and lots of sun.
There's a slight breeze.
Forecast says 38 for a low tonight! I refuse to turn on the heat until October though.
Our forecast says lows in the mid 40's. I better take my coleus cuttings tomorrow.
Took mine yesterday.
Just ran out of oil today. Only have cold water now. Do you think it's time I called and ordered more oil? I'll say, I felt like it was Hanukka. That oil just kept burning and burning...
Don't they come automatically? Glad I have gas heat / water.
No, I have to call them and I haven't cause I've been low on funds and I use their "BioFuel". It's more expensive, but more ecological, supposedly.
What's in the biofuel?
Soy, I think. American grown.
What a beautiful way to start the day Pixie, even if it is a bit nippy!
Got frost?
We do.
39 here, crisp and clear. Don't think we had any frost last night.
No fog. Crisp blue skies and no breeze. The smoke from the chimney is trailing straight upwards, a good sign for fair weather.
At 6 AM we had 48 but we've now climbed to all of 50 degrees! Should be 68 later.
Beautiful morning photo, Pixie.
That IS a beautiful photo! You have challenged me to create a similar one. This may take a while ....
Great photo Celeste. We should all wake up to that view every morning. Is that your special Oak? Got down to 40 here. 49 now. Beautiful.
Thanks for the compliments....yes Victor that is my special Oak.
It is the one thing that just stands out when I look off the back deck and it is what is between me and the sunrise every morning. That's why I buried my dog by it.....I say good morning to all 3 and it starts the day out with a smile.
Love the sunrise pics. Sunny and crisp here too. 38 the first time I checked temp around 6:45. All the up to 46 now.
Great pics Pirl!!!!!!
cold... no frost... didn't want to get out of bed today!!!!
Great pics Pirl!!!!!!
cold... no frost... didn't want to get out of bed today!!!! but I was curious to see how the one and only iris blooming was doing... he is still there!!!!
Is it a rebloomer, Kassia? Thanks.
I have no idea... have never seen it before... I am totally new to irises... now I think I may be hooked...
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/771256/#new - here is a picture (way down the thread)
I don't know the name of it, Kassia.
that's ok... it's just "gorgeous" for now!!!
Nice spidey web, Pirl.
The fly didn't think so but thanks, Victor.
They're 'no-fly' zones.
2 o'clock in the afternoon and it's a balmy 61 degrees. It actually seems to feel a little warmer, but that might be because I went outside to cool off immediately after a half hour on the treadmill.
How could I have missed Celeste's sunrise shot? Wow, that's a show stopper! Pirl, your dewy spider web is beautiful, too!
Perfect day! Just came in from a round of weeding. Hard to get too much done with a 5 year old to watch. 67 and clear blue sky right now.
Victor, you have free labor...take advantage... I am training my "slaves"!
I do, but he can do but so much. I let him pull the Poison Ivy.
My son would just pull up a plant and say "big weed huh?" at which point I would say "OUT!"
