Lovely photo. I love photos with fog.
Today's Weather in Your Garden 2
Thanks pirl. I'm back from the chiropractor but it's still chilly out. The sun is breaking through the fog. Eleanor
Looks like a repeat of yesterday minus the wind gusts. Very nice late summer day shaping up. Temp mid fifties and climbing to mid seventies. If we could bottle some of this to use in Feb. it wouldn't hurt my feelings any. :)
Agreed!
Nice here. 72 at 1 PM. Some puffy clouds now. Would love to be in the garden but have to keep the kids entertained today and tomorrow.
About 76 now and more big fluffy clouds than yesterday, a big dark grey one hovering overhead right now. Digging to move the lily clumps I was surprised that it was still so dry not far from the surface even after a couple of inches of rain. We could use a bit more.
69 and sunny, bright blue sky - perfect late summer day
The sun is up and where is everyone else? Looks like it is going to be a nice day. Eleanor
Sun is shining but it's cool. I'm on my second cup of coffee already.
Good morning all! Chilly 42 here but sunny with no wind. Second cup is brewing and going out to feed the birds and squirrels and chipmunks and "gooble". :)
Good morning Eleanor. It is a beautiful day. There are sleepy puffs of mist all over the bay with a lovely group of swans gliding through . Think I'll take a cup of coffee down to the waters edge. The grass is still wet, and there are many dew drop covered spider webs all over the grass and shrubs. Have to take a closer look at those. I wish everyone could live in a place they love. I love retirement. Boy I'm gushy this morning, back to weather. 53 degrees, bright Sunshine, gentle breeze warming up quickly. Happy day all.
ngam - who's "gooble"?
daiseycat - I love retirement, too!
Daisycat - Sounds like your getting your day off to a wonderful start. Retirement is awesome. When people tell me how jealous they are of me being retired I just tell them I put in my time and your day will come to. The year I retired from teaching one of the newbies said, gosh I'm not going to retire until 2030. I said in reply, what are you complaining about, I'll be dead by then (or else really, really old)!! Have a great day and enjoy that coffee and the view and of course retirement!! Eleanor
I'm in total agreement with you, Eleanor. People love to complain about how long they have to work. Maybe they selected the wrong career. I loved my days of employment but love these retirement days much more.
Gooble is a wild turkey that has been visiting the bird feeder last week or so. A lot of dew here too and I had to put on a light jacket this am for the first time.
I was truly hoping Gooble was a typo for Gobble, then I wouldn't feel so idiotic with my "floopy" instead of floppy.
The walkers and runners going by are not in long sleeves but I haven't tested the weather yet. The dahlias are glowing in the morning sunshine.
Pirl, you can be assured that you are not alone, that is exactly how she got her name. LOL
Oh, thank you so much, ngam. Now I'm in good company.
It's 48 here now and very sunny, supposed to get up to 70 today.
I have no idea what yesterday was.....got up sat down, logged onto DG took one sip of coffee and then me and the porcelin God became best buddies for the rest of the day. I have not been sick like that in years. DS GF has been around for 3 yrs. and has never seen me "down". 2 things I very seldom do.....vomit and run a fever. When either of them hits me I'm down for the count. My Mom was the same way.....saw her sick where she couldn't get out of bed once in 30 yrs. Feeling much better today and so glad to see the sun!!
Odd how experiences like that make us appreciate our good health. So glad you're up and running again.
Could it have been from something you ate that hit you the wrong way but not others?
Could of been the peanutbutter & Fluff I had the night before. Had a craving for one at 9pm....I guess I won't do that again just in case!
Eat chocolate instead!
Glad you're feeling better Celeste. Those GI viruses are nasty but luckily are usually quick.
Forgot to say it's 67 and overcast here.
70, very sunny with a light breeze. Time for me to get out there.
Goodness, Celeste. I'm glad you are better today!!
At 7 AM, it was 47 degrees and foggy.
Now, (11:30 AM) 67 degrees and sunny
~ and absolutely perfect for being outside. (After I wash the kitchen floor)
Oh, Celeste. I hate stomach viruses. You have all my sympathy. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better today.
71 and overcast today. Victor, you and I live so close to each other, I think we have the same weather.
Thanks all....I just ate a real meal! Brussell sprouts from the garden!Yummm.
The only vegetable that scares me.
You're brave Celeste. I love them but would not have them the day following a stomach virus.
I love the tiny ones, sauteed in butter with walnuts and a bit of maple syrup.
They're good just cooked with chicken broth.
Neither way for Harper. She'll pass on the Brussels Sprouts and take the fresh tomatoes, I'm sure.
I dunno, pirl. You make them sound good with walnuts, butter and maple syrup... Of course, I'll never turn down a fresh tomato. Just toss it in the sauteed BS's.
Weather this AM:
60 degrees, drizzle, dark outside!!! It's almost 6AM and there's no hint of the sun. Ugh.
Very light drizzle here, too, Candyce. All of 62 degrees and today's high will be 10 degrees cooler than normal. 'Bye summer!
Yeah. This whole up-coming week is supposed to be more fall-like. *sigh*
Broken record here - 62, dark and drizzly. Supposed to turn nice later and Sunday and Monday will be great. Very cool overnight tonight.
