oohs and awes coming from here
When you get your Christmas tree up, post pictures!
gorgeous tree, Debbie.
I'm constantly putting things back on the tree that the cats have pulled off, so I guess my tree's never finished until Christmas is over. lol
Thank you very much, this is the first "real tree" we have had in 15 years, and it smells so good!
Debbie great tree!!!!
Wow! Great picture
Shirley, that is a beautiful tree, so sparkling! I love the Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls also. I collected them for some time, but seem to have stopped. I don't know why...could be I don't have the room to put them out right now.
I am so sorry you can't put up a tree this year, so many have lost so much. Sending prayers and good thoughts your way,
Debbie
Debbie, I just wanted to say that I made the dolls and the crocheted pieces...also the soft sculpture pieces...It was such fun....I am glad you like them....Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.....Thanks for your prayers....shirleyt
Shirley, your tree was gorgeous! Next year, you will have a beautiful one again. Don't lose heart. :) Praying for you!
Someone does fabulous crochet! That is a beautiful tree and all the surrounding snowflakes add a lot, too!!! I love added touch of the ones on the chandelier. That's one of the prettiest trees I've seen. I have several patterns that I want to make - just haven't gotten them done yet. Your tree is a good incentive for me to get back to them.
Thank you Tgif, crochet is a lot of fun, and I do enjoy making them during the year for ourselves as well as friends and family.
It is a very fun, inexpensive hobby.
Josephine.
beautiful trees everyone!
shirleyt - your tree is beautiful! you will have another one next year. did your tree have crochet ornament like frostweed?
frostweed - love the crochet ornaments. i have to learn how to do that. is it hard?
gw- i was in newark, saturday. the court house is beautiful.
here's my slim tree.
Daylily, your tree is beautiful too, they all are special in their own way.
Crochet is not difficult, it just takes a little patience and practice.
Josephine.
What beautiful trees everyone has!! I love the fact that all the trees have their own personality. Ours is a memory tree (that's what I call it). Each year we give each other ornaments. Throughout the years, we've collected many. We each have a side that rotates, so one year my DS' collection is in front, my DH's on the side and so on. This year it was my DH turn to be in the front. We each have our favorites, musical instruments, mooses, and other oddities for my DH. My son's collection has evolved from trains to soccer and now to Star Wars figures. I prefer Santas above all.
Here is our tree.
what wonderful trees ,thank you for sharing with us
Oh, Jnana, that is a beautiful decorating job.
oh man oh man....what gorgeous trees....... Every single one of them is to die for.
thanks you guys for posting them.
Berrygirl, I am sorry that your back did nor allow you to put up a tree this year.
Your pictures look beautiful, I hope you get better soon.
Josephine.
I think that is lovely Kelli, It must sparkle!
o my goodness, kelli, love that, atza my kinda tree!
Thanks! DH also says that it is not overdone.
Just beautiful
Lovely! Looks so pretty by the fireplace, too.
Howie's department at work won the decorating contest this year. They went with a USO theme in support of our troops. If I can get him to post pictures....C'mon, Howie!
Here's our tree.
We have started a tradition with our boys. Every year they each get an ornament as one of their presents. If it is not personalized, then we write their name on the back or the bottom so we can keep up with which ones belong to which child. The idea is that when they are adults, they can take all of their ornaments to put on their tree. It should allow them to start with a nicely decorated tree and also the memories of all the years of collecting.
That's a nice idea, shuggins. I have about a dozen ornaments that were given to me as gifts. A couple of them came in boxes and my mom wrote on the box who it was from and the year. Back in the 1970s, it must have been popular to give brass ornaments with the date and person's name on them. I have quite a few of those. This one doesn't have a date, but it's from that era.
Here is our tree. The lighting in the living room is pretty bad for taking pics.....this is the best I could get. ;-)
Shuggins, we also started that same tradition with our boys, but my DH and I also give each other ornaments every year so when our boys leave and take all of theirs we will still have some left. lol
