Explain your user name

I love the way some names are made
I first wanted Boots ,, because I did wear them alot ( garden boots You can dig with) It was taken . I did think Boots and all , after I started to back track ...So I am now bootandall and 52

Now how come gardeners can come up with great names like this but it seems so difficult for most people to come up with a random password?

The problem with random passwords is that they aren't really random. They have to be something you can remember, so immediately you start thinking about them, and it stops being random right there! ARGH!!

and we mostly call you 'Boots' so there ya go

It is based on "a room with a view" -- the phrase, which of course existed before the movie! 'Rooms with a view' became "Blooms With A View" for the photographer of flowers and desert landscapes.

My name dates to my first registering on eBay... I was still doing crystallography (although on a volunteer basis) and was enthusiastically learning to spin wool and other fibers into yarn, hence crystalspin. Compuserve was falling apart as a community just as the WWW was expanding to be all things to all users, so I discontinued my cServe account and registered crystalspin as my e-mail too.

Mine is also pretty obvious. I picked Jerry and Mikey so that my husband (jerry) could remember it for our email address, (which he doesn't! My brother picked my nickname (Mikey) because he wanted a boy but my real name is Mary Michelene and I was named after a nun!

This is a great thread! As for my name, it's sort of a long story that I'll keep short. I've always been very interested the indigenous people of Central and South American. I love study on the Aztecs, Mayans, and Inca civilizations.
Well about 12 years ago, I was shopping and came across a reproduction statue of one of the Mayan Gods. I had to have it! After some research, I found that the statue was in fact the Mayan "Flower God". He was supposedly responsible for all of the crops and beautiful blooming flowers. Well plumerias are my favorite plant/flower, and are also indigenous to Central America. So, I came up with Plumeriagod, besides Plumeriaguy was already taken. Didn't want people to get us confused. I'm 35 and a male.

My id stands for Peace Creek Ranch, I live a town that was originally named Peace, and we still have the Peace Creek that runs thru town. So that is the pcr part. I raise quarter horses, so the AQHA stands for American Quarter Horse Association, I have more Paint horses than quarters but that would have been pcrapha and even tho the horses are manure machines I didn't want crap in the middle of my id. The gemini part is self explanitory and the description of a gemini in any astrology book is like reading my own bio(especially in having the gift of gab). Sage(salvias) seemed perfect because they're used as ornamentals, culinary, and as a holy cleansing herb, wrapping up my love of gardening, cooking, and spirituality all in one plant name. I'm a 38 year old male and think middle age is going to suite me just fine because the older I get, the more I demonstrate my eccentricity without concern of what others think. My real name is Neal and it's a pleasure meeting other plant freaks.

I'm with you Neal. A couple of the DK's have said "I didn't understand" or "must be a non-conformist" when I've vetoed something. I just don't have the need to follow the herd and as long as I'm not hurting anyone, freely follow my whims.

I bet people slaughtered your name when you tried to spell it when filling out forms etc. Sometimes I get tired of repeating the spelling of my last name to people since they think they know it is COR instead of CRO at the beginning. LOL

In a startreck episode, they were attacked by a monster machine that called itseld veejer, it was actually the voyager with oy worn off and pronunced wrong, I copied it but thought veeja sounded more femine. I used it on all sites so I won't be confused as to I am. I started using it then had a 6 mo computer crash when I came back my name was taken all over so now I have to be 2 or three. I am 56 yrs young

My name is Vivian. My DD nicknamed me Vizz because I would drink Fizzies. Those kinda like alka selzer (sp) fruit drink popular in the late 50's early 60's which gives you an idea on how old I am... OK 56. The 8 is my zone.

I am a male botanist! Its the pet name my girlfriend pinned on me....

New to the site today and just guess my name's original... have and love basset hounds! So, when my first choices were all unavailable I hit on this one. And, since they remain big babies, it fits.

Love the site, especially the accessibility forum since I am a long-time gardener, planting seeds with my dad (now deceased and in Heaven with Mom) as soon as I could walk and, now, planting seeds with my kids when I can no longer walk... On the other hand, I don't need all those nifty kneelers, kneepads, or portable seats.

My user name is actually a combination of a nickname my husband gave me (weasel) and the first letter of my first name (Staci). Weasel, Weezel, and sweasel was taken when I tried to use it on another website so this is what was not taken and that's what I have used since. The nickname comes from my being very petite (5 ft, under 100 pounds) and being able to sneak up on my husband by being quiet, small, and flexible. I did this one day and he laughed and called me a little weasel and it just stuck.
