More on Member feedback ratings

Well PvillePlanter your posts and intent are not lost on everyone here at DG....I understand completely, and agree wholeheartedly.

"more on member feedback ratings". My goodness! What an extensive and varied list of feedbacks.Some of you folks have what I felt (in my little opinion) were a few opinions of your own. So many different comments and perspectives. Pville is quite verbose. I can understand him better that way rather than the comments which require me to strain my little grey cells, as Poirot is want to say. Can't say I agree or disagree with anyone, I'm delighted to have the chance to read all these posts and learn something about the opinions of several hundred gardeners, who are all so much more intelligent and talented than any stereotypical 'gardener". Where else could I have the opportunity to 'meet' so many great photographers, artists, veteranarians, horticulturalists, writers, computer genii (genius's?), woodworkers, gourmet cooks, and so much more.

Gee whiz folks,just being able to freely associate with such a population as this should be enough to make us realize that the differences are all small stuff, and don't sweat the small stuff. Gardening may be the key factor in the website, but Dave has opened an incredibly wide door for us to enter into almost any discussion we wish. His philosophy for the site, as I recall reading somewhere, is based upon Christian ethics. Be you Christian or not, give some thought before throwing the proverbial first stone. It seems to me that so many of the comments made are censurous or critical, although perhaps not ever meant to be, but interpreted that way. Chill out folks, and enjoy the blessings of friendship with a whole bunch of great gardeners, (and maybe a worm or two?) At least that's my two cents worth.

I couldn't come up with those wonderful words you said any better. You have expressed my opinions completely!!!!

I have been reading this thread from the very beginning and have bitten my tongue on many of the views expressed here. I have been a member for 4 yrs. (Dec. 2000) and I have noticed many changes in this great community. Most of all are the great changes that Dave has done to make this site "the best". The changes that I don't care for are with some of the people that subscribe that think they are better than others and immediately try to make changes with "their" views of how this site should be run.

Regarding the member feedback. Dave has created this for "us", and should not be so criticized. He is doing a favor for many of us, who have had some bad trades and it helps pinpoint some of the "rotton apples".

This is my 2 cents worth.

I do very little...OK! NO gardening...but I have read so much on here that I feel like an expert. I have grown some gourds and now folks think I KNOW SOMETHING....LOL (I read a lot).
