One of my girls, Teagan, had surgery today to remove a lump on her side. She's doing ok, ate a little when we got home, now she's laying in the middle of my bed, and she has a drain in, which is actively draining. Need to convince her to move so I can change the bedding, and hope I can convince her to lay on some bedding on the floor, so I can have my bed tonight.
Best,Worse,What did I learn today? Come sit and chat, I’ve muffins in the oven and fireplace is on..
That's a lot for postage Pat.
Deb, sorry to hear about your dog. Praying it's nothing serious.
Deb - hope you get to reclaim your bed! Sorry to hear about Teagan's surgery, but hope she recovers quickly & well.
Where does Teagan normally sleep? Poor girl, surgery is not fun.
She usually sleeps with some of the other dogs in the other rooms. I try to keep my bedroom dog free, unless there are special circumstances. Her surgery counts as special circumstances, she'll sleep with me until her stitches come out. Surgeries or babies are usually the only reason I'll have them in my room, otherwise, they wouldn't leave any room for me in bed, and my bedroom is the cat's safe space.
Tomorrow we go back to the vet to have her drain removed. She's not happy with me right now. I've got her in a run in a spare bedroom because the pups are a bit wild, and she's supposed to be kept quiet.
awww poor Teagan. She'll be happy when the drain is removed.
Sending good thoughts and prayers for Deb & Teagan.
The quick throw for the Daddy, 4 x 5 and 10 inch blocks. The Dad said he did NOT want the nursey theme but SPORTS! Matt's 1 YO Bday party is next Saturday in Yakima (an hour & half away) Size was limited by the backing material. The photo will show I ended 1/2 inch from the selvage. I spliced on a "leader" to give me room to quilt it! The backing is that collage of sport. I will make a larger and nicer quilt when I am not so rushed! It had to be done NOW, I could not guarantee I would have time this week.
So great!! Love the sports theme (although I don't watch or partake in any, except for bowling). I suppose he 10 pin bowls?
I have no idea if he bowls or not. I don't know JJ well but he said "sports" so I included a block of every sport I had in the stash.
I got the Sasquatch block done, I have the trees done, moving on. I hope to get the top finished this week in between other projects. I honestly don't know what I am going to do with it. I just wanted to make it! LOL I thought it might make a good donation for the one of the organizations my brother & his wife participate in, Pet resuce and cancer fund raisers.
I got my new hearing aids this morning. They are a different style and technology. It will take some getting used to. They won't pair them with my phone for 2 weeks. THAT will drive me crazy!
The school that my sister taught at for 32 years, her own children attended and now her grandchildren are currently attending, just won the state championship in basketball. Her Grandson Brandon played a fantastic game. Her grandchildren are truly wonderful athletes, all of them.
My oldest son just called, my Ex's wife just died. She was a nice lady.
Praying all went well with the vet visit Deb.
Pat,, that quilt is beautiful.
I finally signed the paperwork today for my home. It is sold. I will be driving back to Amarillo tomorrow. 8 hour drive.
Pat - sorry to hear that your ex's wife has passed - nice that you liked her.
Congrats on the State Championship!
FANTASTIC Linda Kay, on the sale of your home - FINALLY, eh?
Getting ready for the Senior's AGM on the 20th. Tomorrow I'll open for coffeetime, then 2pm Bible Study.- studying Luke 10:38-42
Great news on the sale of your house! One less thing to worry about.
Vet visit went fine. I just wish she would eat, now. Vet said antibiotics are probably making her nauseous. She will eat some things, like a piece of chicken, or scrambled eggs. Can't afford that for too long! She did eat some mac and cheese last night. As long as she's acting normal and active, and eating some things he said not to worry.
Deb, my sister's Labordoodle drives us crazy. She won't eat normally until late in the day, even then has to be coaxed and maybe the next day she is ravenous and acting hungry ALL the time. No consistency at all. When Jenny doesn't eat I remind Marie her weight has stayed steady, "it just not her day to eat", she'll make up for it tomorrow!
Linda, that can't help but feel like a tremendous burden off your shoulders! Until the money was in the bank & I could see it, I did not consider it a "done deal".
Betty, where are you?
WHAT a day...........
Enjoyed coffee time, then off to Bible study where someone got delicious cupcakes.
Asked a friend (Don) to join me at Smitty's so I could have my birthday (free) dinner. Afterwards he went home & I went to gas up - no debit card. Last place I used it was No Frills Saturday. No one had used it otherwise. Bank closed so couldn't get a replacement card. Went online. claimed as lost/stolen, & locked it - replacement sent within 5-7 days. Called Don & he came back & got gas for me (b-day present he said) & gave me $50 spending cash. Tomorrow I'll go to town & get a temp card & register the mailed card when I get it.
In the meantime, I'm shredding 2 boxes of paperwork that is no longer needed or out-of-date for me to be keeping it. Shredder keeps overheating, so I go online for a bit. I'm determined to have this all shredded by tomorrow evening.
Happy birthday Susan.
Sounds like you had a good day.
Thank you, Linda Kay., I'm grateful for good friends.
happy birthday Susan!
Sorry I missed your birthday, Susan!
I do wish Betty would show up.
Teagan normally eats anything and everything and is on the tubby side to prove it. This is out of character for her, but, she's acting normal, and she could stand to lose a few pounds. The vet said as long as she isn't running a fever and is active and acting normal not to worry. I'm feeding her a little of what she will eat and leaving kibble out in case she gets the munchies.
Thank you, Pat & Deb :)
Today started out sadly. I took the cover off my budgies' cage this morning, and found Pixie had passed away in the night, so now it's just Dixie. I'm torn between "can't replace Pixie" and "Dixie could use a companion". Budgies are sociable wee things, and although Dixie is still chirping, I'm sure he's going to be lonely.
I'm so sorry Susan. That is a dilemma. I'm sure whatever you decide it will be good for both you and Dixie.
Thanks Deb
Thanks Deb , I will see.
Hope to get to Red Deer to take my Pfaff sewing machine in soon
Sorry to hear about your bird passing Susan. So hard to make that decision about to replace or not.
Praying Betty is doing ok. Sure do miss her.
Thank you, Linda Kay.
Yeah, where IS Betty?
Betty hasn't posted since March 1st!! I'll have to call her tomorrow. Too late now
Just checking in to if anyone has talked to Betty.
I meant to call her today, but I was running around all day & I'm sorry, but it slipped my mind.
Now I can't find her phone # but I sent her a d-mail. No response.
Keep us updated please?
I found her # & got voicemail.
Oh goodness, I hope she checks in soon. I worry when I don't see her post. She has had health issues and NONE of us are getting any younger.
I posted on FB to her two "accounts", in case she's still using one of them.
Thank you Susan. Praying she is ok.
Got home from church, called Betty - still no answer. Left a voice mail again.
BettyPauze IV posted on FB but still not answering my PM or phone calls.
FB says she's active.
