great - soon you'll be scouring through your stash to put borders on, Betty :)
Best/Worst - 2024 Round Robin
I'm looking forward to the next wave of blocks & pics.
Me too.
Got the blocks yesterday Susan, beautiful
Mega neck problems but i will look through stash tomorrow and get them done
They are lovely and colourful
Sharon is in USA and mailing 3
Great. Looking forward to working on the other ones 😁
We can't wait to get them Betty.
Well leave me to not follow the rules BUT big BUT, I didn’t have any USA fabric except for a small box with misc fabrics left over from years ago, had already cut them down so I could make a project so sewed them into a braid which is more 4” than the 3” border I was to do..could get Sharon to make a smaller width border??
Think it’s one of the ones you sent Lindakay
Remind me again who these 3 will be sent to? I know can easily do the the top of thread and read but Susan has it down Pat so easier this way.
Still early in the day, i worked about 4 1/2 hours on the last one but who know what the next will be
Betty - you send all the Round Robins to Linda Kay.
You did a LOVELY job on Pat's center. How beautiful :)
Certainly, if you did a 4" instead of a 3", as far as I'm concerned, the next one could be a 3", but I leave that decision up to the originator of the center. The US themed star is Pat's.

Betty, that border is beautiful on pats block.
Sure, 3inch, 4 inch, whatever is fine with me! BEAUTIFUL job Betty!
Sharon has your block Pat, I likely will go and drop off the 2nd of the 3 blocks I got and hoping to finish last one today, tomorrow I have company so I would like to finish it and get to my projects
The corners with few pieces of Dresden is light grey similar to background

I love all those borders.
Unfortunately it looks like Canada Post has a strike going on, rotating, but it's the drivers who are striking, so no deliveries to the post offices. Not sure when deliveries will be made to the post offices again.
Oh my. Hope the get it settled soon.
I haven’t checked that Susan, would imagine our region will get its couple of days of non delivery as well.
Got all the squares done, another side waiting to sew on then have to decide if i can do same across bottoms d top or put the corner squares just black
When I am alert tomorrow I will see but am having Joanne at 10 and she is staying for lunch, bring8ng her knitting and I will also knit inmy slippers.
I had made 3 quilts with our block exchange years ago, oh must be at least 8 years and I had 7 I did not use but always said I would. GiorGia took a liking to them so she wil make a throw with them,
Maybe you might recognize a block as being yours??
Betty - the one below the holly leaves is mine, I believe. I recognize the fabrics (but that's all I recognize lol)
This is what Canada Post sent me, via email:
"Canada Post intends to continue operating as strike notices received from CUPW
Canada Post has received strike notices from the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), for both Urban and RSMC (Rural and Suburban Mail Carriers) bargaining units. The notices indicate that CUPW will be in a legal position to begin strike activity on November 15, at 12:01 am ET.
We know you need certainty at this critical time of year and understand the implications for your business. We value the trust you place in us to deliver and we are committed to providing you with timely updates and the details you need to make informed decisions.
Company provides notice to adjust operations while continuing to deliver
Canada Post has notified the union and CUPW-represented employees that unless new agreements are reached, the current collective agreements will no longer apply as of Friday.
The Corporation will then be in a position, using the means provided in the Canada Labour Code, to adjust operations based on its operational realities and business needs. A labour disruption would affect the millions of Canadians and businesses who rely on the postal service. It is critical that both parties focus their energies on resolving issues to reach negotiated agreements."
ah well........... hope it's settled before the Christmas rush. Some people order Christmas presents from Amazon, etc, so not sure if this will affect those deliveries for those that get sent through the mail.
Our post office in Torrington was closed today. Not sure when I'll get any centers if they're sent to me now.
I feel sorry for those that get their meds through the mail.
Susan, Betty will mail the blocks from you, Pat, Betty and Sharon. Misty and I will get them done quickly, and sent on to Pat.
You should be getting the pkg of 3 today Sharon says
Been up since 5, housework done, relaxing having my coffee now that my housework is done then will head downstairs and finish last block I have, seeing Sharon Friday morn8ng so will give her the last 2.
Will send photo when I finished it.
Look forward to block swap
Drats, going to have to take border off and have a change of plan, seems either way I do the quilt 2 sides make a straight edge and 2 form a type of bow tie.
Joanne will be here any minute so I will have to wait til later to start do8ng some picking. Big sigh
Postal strike imminent on Friday. It will affect rural areas most apparently
Just spoke to my postmaster - she says she may not get some mail, but will stay open because she's in a different union than the one that's threatening a strike.

Betty, I got 3 blocks today. We will start looking for fabric, and get them out to Pat in few days.
Which blocks do you have Linda Kay? Pictures, please :)
Susan, must apologize, wasn't a lot Could do to a 2"border than trying to square it offset my corner stones
Seeing Sharon tomorrow will drop off the two squares I have she already has one of them and I think that's the end of my commitment is it not?
Last Square was a bit of a challenge I must have taken it off two three times I like the look but the configuration with going around it just wouldn't work so what you have are two bow ties opposite corners then straight blocks on the other two corners but unless you're looking for it I think you would focus on the outside versus the corner ends so apologies there too but Sharon said she thought it was beautiful
That's very pretty.
Betty, if you've added a border to each of Sharon's, Linda Kay's, Pat's, Misty's, and mine, that should be everyone. You're done then.
That piece is very striking & beautiful! You should be proud of yourself!
I have yet to add 4" & 5" & 4" again,
Those blocks are coming along! Really pretty.
Sharon just messaged me, thought of putting a design in the border but with the busy design I did needs plain border
Those are all beautiful.
Can't wait to get them.
Our postal service was in the news yesterday. Says they are 9.5 billion dollars in debt.

I would think Lindakay Amazon and quick courier service has done them in, at least here. I see Amazon on this street at least 15 times a day if not more
yes, Betty - that, and people sending letters & cards using online cards, and email, etc.
I understood that the Post Office was saying "delays" and now my Post Office isn't even accepting letters/parcels, but I know that 3 people received parcels last week (me - received the ties Melody sent).
I thought the Post Office was using alternate delivery vehicles, but I could be wrong.
Thursday I go to chiro session so will drop into the post office, if open and see if there is progress with getting back on a schedule.
I was sleeping for a few hours, Sharon got quite a few quilt sales and needs 30 yards of tone on tone, think what she was telling me (i was 1/2 asleep) that she might send it to Debbie and meet up with her stateside, if she does she will mail them stateside.
Again, they go to who?
Betty, you mail to me, so Misty and I can add the next borders.
Wondered seeing last ones were mailed to you, thanks for keeping on track.
Once i get them and more borders attached, I mail to Pat.
Soon they will all be completed
Great, Betty - hopefully this postal strike ends soon. They're still in talks apparently, but not making a lot of headway.
Betty - you will always be mailing (the centers) to Linda Kay.
Yep, will do..
If Sharon goes stateside then she will mail, if not they say patience is a virtue
Post Office update - they're not taking any new parcels. When the strike is over they will deliver those that are currently in process.
