Apparently you put a value on over $100 and that's why you got charged so much. Under $100 and you wouldn't have been charged anything. On my end I had to pay over $15, but I HAVE the centers

They told me the $100 insurance was free. They charged you an additional $15??? HOLY COW, I already paid $46!

I started cutting the borders for Betty & Sharon's quilt centers. Both look like they're Christmas themed, so that's easy for me to find the material in my "stash" lol

Glad you have the fabric.

I'm doing the more difficult one first - the next one should go quicker lol
Not to say it's really difficult, but it's piecing rows of border together.

Here's the first RR quilt borders put on, then will send to Betty when I get the 2nd one done.

The 2nd center is done, and when I find my wallet with my debit card & phone, I'll be able to send them to Betty.

Did I post a picture of the finished God's Eye of mine Pat sent to me?
If not, here it is. I'm thinking that I'll make a border of 8" God's Eyes around the outside, maybe with a border between. How in the world did you manage to find material that so closely matched the center? Wow, that is so wonderful! It really ties it all together. The purple is stunning and Betty & Sharon's additions go well with the purple. Love the charcoal, too. Yup, not giving this one to the church. I have a banner that I'm working on for them lol

I'm going to change out some of the border on the 1st one of Betty's that I did. I don't like the colour combinations with the Santas. It'll be Santas & reindeer :) Should have it done tonight.

Here's the updated border. Don't know what's happening with the Post Office, but apparently I could ship these 2 centers (hers & Sharon's) for about $3.50? My "business" account gives me cheap shipping.
I'd better mail them before the mail strike happens again.

Thank you - I figured the reindeer suited better with the antique Santas than the black & red poinsettia material I first chose.

I shipped Betty & Sharon's centers a couple days ago. They are expected to arrive April 16th.

No, I don't think she'll ever return here, unfortunately. I suppose she'll need to assign another admin, or maybe this thread auto-creates the "next page"?

I miss her posting here, too. There was such camaraderie among us. SO many things have changed (and not for the better) since 2020. The whole world was shaken. I miss the simpler times of the 50's/60's Big Sigh

I am sorry to hear Betty does not intend to return. I wish I could "solve" whatever the issue was.

Well, guess this Round Robin is over. It was good to see what other people's choices are, with our centers :)
