Pacifica, CA

Good morning all,
Loved the ducks sooo cute

Linda, that quilt is so cool love all the colors.

Susan i hope this ends for you soon so you can enjoy life worry free again.
Diane hows the thundering heard doing
I laughed at them running back to the house.
Betty, i can only imagine what mom did at sharons party, i would take all your snow lol

Pat i hope you do your quilt, maby then it would motivate me to get started on one.

So i need all of you to pray for judy,
Everything was good after all 3 surgerys,
Now she is having same issues her feet are freezing alot of pain, follow up appt, showed blood pressure up high and circulation back to a slow flow again
She sees dr on wensday may have to have another surgery asap. Im hoping the stent moved a simple fix, its bothering me how this could of happened when everything was good and she was walking to park and doing so good.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

The quilt is about 5 x 6 feet. A good throw size.

Hey Liz. Sending lots of prayers for Judy. She has been through so much.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Love the quilt, you sure are sewing up a storm Lindakay, do you prefer the ones on point?

Thanks for the update on Judy, Liz…Lordy she has been through a lot, 3 surgeries, here is hoping doctor on Wednesday has answers and easy fix. Will add her to my prayer list..you have to know you are all on it.

Yes Liz, mom was hurtful on Saturday.

There were 2 tables of ten, mom sat with Sharon at the other table. Knowing mom was coming Sharon asked her to pick something up for $100 and said she would pay her as soon as they got to restaurant..while eating everyone was eating Sharon took out the $100 and gave it to mom, mom in turn in front of Sharon took out a birthday card, asked if anyone had a pen and signed her name and put the $100 into envelope, walked it over to me and said “sorry i wasn’t up for your birthday” meanwhile everyone at Sharon’s table saw her leave with envelop and come to my table..Sharon never even got a happy birthday or card ,just a card. Brian said she stopped for a card at a drug store and bought but one, she could have put $50 in each. Sharon couldn’t care less about the $$$ but was hurt. I drove with Sharon and her daughter Nikki so i didn’t here of it till then..think i would have taken $50 walked it over to her table and said there must have been a mistake, $50 should have gone to Sharon. Guess Sharon said something to mom about being hurt but that she wouldn’t understand why she was so hurt..

when mom called me a day later to tell me about it i told her i didn’t want to hear, kept changing the subject, she said my problem is I see good in everyone and in everything, i asked if that was a bad thing, she said she couldn’t do it and while i do it everyone is talking about me behind my back, i told her they could say the worse, i don’t care, life is to short.

Knowing she was trying to say it was Sharon, guess she thought about it, i was sound asleep when she called back to say she wasn’t talking about Sharon, didn’t want me to think that, told her I hadn’t even think of it.. that was last weeks drama! Likely you will think is much to do about nothing but just breaks my heart.

I had a quiet day, just came to bed from couch..kind of lost in the days.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

No, that is "not much to do about nothing", it was hurtful and downright petty of your mother to pull such a stupid stunt. And to top it off, your mom made sure she had an audience to her bad behavior. I am sorry for you and your sister.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I agree, that was pretty rude.
Betty, what is the new meds, that is making you so dizzy and tired. Are you still having hallucinations?
Sometimes, I just like to put blocks on point for something different.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, high of 52 but a rain day

The doctor prescribed Auro-Duloxetine, which is primarily I think for nerves/anxiety but has been found to help both fibromyalgia and nerve endings.

Well it certainly adds to the design Lindakay.

I have about 1/4 of Suzanne’s blanket quilted, went downstairs yesterday morning and so you think i could get the stitching right..tried several times, got frustrated and upstairs to lay down.

Going to have breakfast then try again, wish me luck.

Sharon wants to go to Buffalo Wednesday morning, if nothing changes we will have breakfast with our Debbie at the Cracker Barrel. i will look at my panels to see what backing I need to get them done..no use starting new ones until i finish what is boxed up..need to have a look for a piece of garden art at Cracker Barrel.

Let’s see if I can get that machine stitching perfectly, maybe it needed a break.

Should try and clean a few windows, so badly needed after the winter but think i will wait til roof is done as it’s bound to make a mess

What are you all up to today?

LAST week we had HIGH winds but temperatures in the 70s at times. This morning we got up to snow! We had hail yesterday, cloud bursts, mixed with sun! YIKES,, that is Kennewick weather for you.

Granddaughter's yard sale is "done", now to see if her mother & Adam will honor their commitment to get this stuff out of the garage (and pick up all the yard sale signs). they said they would box up and donate everything that was left over on Monday. We'll see.

My car is bursting with stuff we boxed up from Marie's and I have been unable to unload it into my garage. Praying it won't take reminding of family to get their part DONE. I had to clear a path to get into my barn yesterday. I am NOT enjoying this.
Off to Marie's to put in more time on getting the room ready for the long arm.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Be careful taking those meds while driving Betty. Sure hope you get to go to Buffalo. It's been awhile since you were allowed to travel.
At quilting to, we learned how to attempt to make rope bowls. Made from clothesline, and fabric strips. Mine needs improvement.

Would look lovely on the table with fruit.
Fun project, will you make more?

Took Suzanne’s quilt off frame, will mark out a design and complete it hopefully finish by weekend.

Greg called me asking me when I am having Easter dinner, guess i am doing dinner..he will he will let me know what day is better, Saturday or Sunday? Mom is coming Thursday, guess I will askSharon for Easter, should be interesting.

Thursday i will take Ziggy to vets for his nails..hope I can get him in cage.

I did 24 Christmas squares to make a rug then when it came time to zig zag i gave up, every year I say I will finish it but there it sits.

Sharon will do most of the driving as I can take take the seatbelt for long.

I am so looking forward to seeing Debbie.. yes it’s been 2 1/2 years, long time

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I will probably make more. Just because I have lots of the rope.
Good luck getting together for Easter. Praying it all goes well for you.
Has your Mom been in quarantine? Did she get covid?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning..57f and sunshine today, should be home raking, tomorrow 61F but heavy rains.

Have my bag packed and chores done..will take a coffee downstairs and go over the few panels I want to bring with me to try and match backings.

Really don’t need much as i am changing to stained glass pieces as Christmas presents.

Yes mom’s quarantine is over, luckily she didn’t get it soo i imagine she will come thursday..she has no passport but still is jealous Sharon and i get to go stateside big sigh

Girls want to paint rocks today for something different so guess i should go and move some sewing machines over and put painting sheets down.

Must remember to take photo of things i want at Joanns, been keeping a list last 2 years, many i will check our price and compare.

Glad I got up at 5am, lot less myself together.only thing i worry about is if for some reason hydro went out, I’d be flooded..big sigh

Off I go

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Linda, you are braving than me. I don't even have the desire to TRY the bowls! I think I know how mine would turn out.
Have fun on your trip Betty, thankfully your mother does NOT have a passport and she can't push herself into THAT trip and ruin it for everyone!! If she can't behave herself at Easter, she can stay in her bedroom. How far away does she live from you? Is it possible for someone else to RETURN her home if she demonstrates her rotten behavior?
How are you doing Karen?
Susan, hang in there. Know that we are praying for you.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Betty have a wonderful time. I know you are excited about finally being able to travel and shop on this side. Don't let anything spoil your fun.

Pat, I'm doing good still feeling good. I was trying to get assistance for one of my expensive meds. I filled out the paper work and took to Drs. office to have their part done. I get letter last week telling me that paper work was not completed by Dr. and needed to be done again. I knew exactly what had happened. My former Dr. had stopped the process. I have had enough. I called office and talked to office manager. I told her that up to now I had held the peach but what he was doing now was just wrong. I told her about him yelling at me and that he said he was putting things in my record about what a bad patient I was. She had my record there and said he hadn't said anything there but blocking my application was wrong. I also told her about previous visit when he told me I was fine when I obviously was not and then spent visit chatting with hubby who was also his patient. My hubby even said when we walked out how badly he had treated me. So now instead of waiting until next month for appointment, new Dr. is seeing me tomorrow. I'm sure hoping this will be a better experience. At least pretty sure She won't bully me.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Betty - your mom is so rude! Enjoy your trip Stateside! (your mom doesn't have your cell #, does she?). Take care driving.
Pat - hope they get the balance of the stuff out of the garage! What a clearing out that will be :)

Bob has to have a lawyer because he can't cross-examine me, an impartial person has to. If he can't get a lawyer, the courts will assign him one.
This morning I set up for the tax lady, in our Arena, then got ours done. This afternoon it's Social Group, and tonight is bowling. lol I don't have enough to do, do I? hahahaha. Got a new T-Shirt showing that Kneehill Area Wellness sponsored me to bowl. Only have 3 more nights of bowling, then it's over for the season. I'm going to miss it.

Pacifica, CA

Betty, i cant believe her wow!
You have a good time and spend lots of $$$ you deserve to have fun!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad you made the trip ok. Give Debbie hugs from all of us. Enjoy your trip, but don't over do it.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Betty, I can't imagine how hard it must have been for you NOT to go stateside for 2 years!!! OH my!!! Have a BLAST. Focus on your enjoyment!

Victoria Harbour, ON

In bed, all comfy, of course you have to know what one of the first stops would be..

Gave Sharon choice of 2 restaurants, steakhouse or her Olive Garden, she picked Olive Garden.

Hardly ate anything so sure hope it can come home with me

Yep, big hugs for Debbie and prayers for Judy.

Exciting day tomorrow, not only see Debbie but get to eat at Cracker Barrel, been missing it.

Awww Betty, so good to see you looking so happy. Trip is a good tonic for you. Enjoy, enjoy.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Can't wait to see what goodies you found, you couldn't resist.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Think i am in awe of so much fabric i only bought a bundle. Will be at larger joanns this morning s will bring in the tops. I have to do and match for backing..
With getting new roof don’t want to spend all my $$ and find our wood under it needs replacement

But I’m sure a lot of tone on tone will call my name

I’m more excited to see Debbie.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Visiting with someone you are missing can be a wonderful tonic.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Enjoy your visit

Verona, ON

Betty I am so happy for you. Getting away is just the ticket for you but meeting up with our Debbie has to be the best. I am sure you have lots to share with Debbie and her with you.

Deb I so understand the dreaded feeling you had before it was diagnosed completely. Sending positive thoughts your way.

It's raining here and the WL say 98% chance of rain all day.

Dawn was here yesterday for the first time since mid Nov. The house is shining !! She has just kept me and and another place on the lane - the rest she has said no more as she knows she can't handle that load. The TH made strange with her. I think her carrying her mop and bucket threw them for a loop. She stayed so long ( I am a terrible at it ) I hope she didn't do so much the first time back that she is paying for it today.

Susan I am glad you checked in. Keeping busy is good for you.

Pat it sounds like the new living arrangements are proving to be difficult. I think your job before you retired has given you tools to help you handle/cope with your living arrangements. How long do you think this sharing of your house will go on for ?

~~~ BBL
Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)
Sharing a house is never easy. We have always done what we could for our kids and grands. They are all different some are needier than others. Bryan pays exhorbitant child support because he never went to court and just let it happen. On top of that he never sees the kids as mom has them poisoned. Now she keeps calling him and wanting him to help with unruly teens. They could have never gotten a house because his payments were so high and his credit bad. This is not a perfect situation but we all work at making it work. We made the down payment on the house and then we split all household bills. We kept the mortgage in all names so when we pass it will be theirs. Hopefully they will be able to manage the bills then. If not they will have to sell and get something they can manage. Right now house has appreciated at a ridiculous rate and is worth almost double what we paid. We now have the mortgage at a very low rate so all is as good as it can be for now.
(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)
I have had adult sons live with me before & never had a problem. Kevin was here nearly 5 years. I honestly don't know how much longer. Supposedly a house loan officer told Adam that as a truck driver, 6 months on the job is long enough to qualify for a loan. I can't see me tolerating things past that. When they are able to get out, they NEED to get out. Adam has his physical on the 19th of this month. He should have no trouble passing it or the drug test, the company has already shown they want to hire him so hopefully SOON.
Adam got the stuff out of the garage yesterday. He still has to return all the tables & clothing racks to Marie's. She won't be home until later this afternoon.
Victoria Harbour, ON
Evening all, Lordy the weather was gorgeous, 75f no rain..I understand they had heavy rain here all morning..weather warning for tonight, rain and extremely high winds..
Dianne do you have same weather warning..just as I read about your heavy rain I am thinking, I haven’t even checked to see if my basement is flooded. Bet it was nice seeing Dawn again. Worry that Covid numbers are rising in our area..must say we wore our masks all the time we were gone but the majority of shoppers did not so best we take advantage to visit with family and friends. That being said Melanie has Covid and in bed, Linda’s son in law is extremely ill..i imagine we will all at some point get Covid before the end of it.
Fell badly for you Pat, I truly don’t think I could live with others in my home, guess if kids needed it i would have to put my big shoes on and try it. i do hope Adam gets hired and can get accommodations for he and family..am sure your way of living is not his and hers and hard for them as well. Places are just so hard to find here..
Karen you and Walt are a blessing to your kids..know they appreciate it.
Bath time
Will be back 8n a bit..don’t want to lose my post
Verona, ON
Betty that is a looong bath - just kidding. I hope you were able to relax and get some relief from your pain. Well your mother and mine could have been 2 peas in a pod. I hope you are able to enjoy the weekend even with her there. If she arrives today when will she go home ? Trust me to ask when your mother would leave !!
Wow that's a lot of people you know with Covid Betty. A person on the lane came down with Covid the same day she learned she had breast cancer. What are the odds ?
Oh Karen you and Walt are such a treasure to your children and grands. Of course all of that love and caring is because you 2 set the example.
Happy to hear about Judy. Hope she is on the way to being healthy and active. Thanks for the update Liz.
LK is your Gov. sending migrants from your area to the White House ?
Deb how are you doing ? Hope you can have some time to relax your mind and your body this weekend.
Susan what are you doing this weekend ? I know you will be busy.
Kai is shaking the bed - he's dreaming and his legs are going a mile a minute plus he is growling. Lol his growling woke him up and now he is looking around to see who was growling.
We didn't get the weather like your forecast Betty. Some rain called for each day for the next few days with Easter Sunday looking sunny. I hope the WL are right as 1 of the churches in the village hold an outdoor service and I can hear it across the lake.
I've been up for a few hours so I think I will try to have a nap.
Victoria Harbour, ON
Morning, lucky you not getting my weather Dianne, was overcast this morning, had my bath and put on old grubbiness to do more raking and pick up the piles from the other day..got them picked up and thought maybe I could get another couple of gardens done when the wind came up and heavens opened so inside i came.
Ziggy is giving me the evil eye, he knows something is up as i brought the dog crate in, set a towel inside to make him comfy..appointment isn’t til later today but won’t take a last minute chance to get him in it…maybe I can add some treats to it.
I set out that waterfall vase that I used up my gift card Debbie gave me and US $$ Linda gave me, it will go out on back deck once I get it but until then Ziggy thinks it’s it’s own watering fountains I’ll have to watch weather level for sure.
Debbie was beyond generous, she also bought me this beautiful metal solar Angel.. know, I am spoilt!
Unpacked from yesterday, will put my fabric away the clean up my craft room. lily the young girl that started last week after school comes at 4:15 and tomorrow at 11 a mom and daughter want to come and learn about the classes i do with kids so I might have a busy schedule..would be like a part time job..lol
If I keep sitting here listen to the sound of the waterfall I will doze off so best get to cleaning
Dianne, yes, Texas has sent 2 busses so far.
Betty, I love your gifts. They are beautiful.
Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)
Dianne, yes, I'm busy this weekend. Tomorrow to church early for Choir Practice at 9, then Good Friday Service at 10. Easter Sunday will be practice then service. Then it's race home to finalize dinner for company. I've invited my good friend Dianne, and a couple I know. Oh gosh............ I should invite Jim. Joan's heading out to BC & he'll be by himself. Yup, going to make that call as soon as I finish my (late) breakfast. Ham, scalloped potatoes, etc.
Victoria Harbour, ON
Drats, Ziggy saw the dog crate now he’s hidden somewhere and won’t come out guess it’s another appointment I have to cancel. Grrrr
Busy lady our Susan
What are they hoping to achieve Linda Kay
(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)
That Ziggy, too smart for his own good. Like a heat seeking missile, Stanley keeps following me around, climbing into my lap the moment I sit down.
Our weather is MIGHTY confused. We are AGAIN having snow. It is blanketing my tulips. They expect record lows for this time of year tonight.
Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)
Betty put it in a room he can't see. Then when he comes out maybe you can catch him...maybe a treat to lure him to you?
Victoria Harbour, ON
Tried the treats..they almost sense what you are up to don’t they Karen..i just put cage in car and will pick up a bigger one so i can try again next week.
our weather is much the same Pat, next 2 week miss rain and a few days a few flurries, cool weather. I couldn’t believe some women and i don’t mean young teens, ladies with shorts, light tops that you could see their bobbies through and here was everyone else with coats on.
Dropped off Darlene’s Christmas present, the kitties..she fell in love with it as did John with his golf towels.
Lucky I decided to do groceries today, Lordy, hard to believe the cross..had to go to 3 grocery stores just to find a turnip.
(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)
Yes, my "step" granddaughter truly has me irritated. She comes home from being at the mall, wearing a spaghetti strap crop top with her bare midriff and then wants the heat turned up in the bedroom!!! I think NOT!!! Wear some clothes & don't get chilled. Her clothing choices are not very modest.
